They need to update MakeItToMidnight and Paintball and LazerTag and Rec royal, in fact they need to just give a glow up to a lot of games
The next original looks interesting, but most of the RROs still have the potential if they were updated.
I totally agree with every single word in this video, RR please make the new RRO enjoyable, and especially replayable
I found that after they removed double shot, the quests became a lot less fun to play. I can barely pick up a bow now because the single shot is just too inefficient compared to swords/ double crossbow. I’d also love to play crescendo on the quest 2 cause I haven’t been able to play it on a device besides the PSVR.
The only reason I play other rec room originals besides quests, rec center, paintball, maybe lasertag and dodgeball, is because of a weekly, but I barely even do weeklys because they’re kinda bad
But you DO know that sometimes the skins will never return, but if they do, you would be 60-80 at that time?

I personally have a lot of fun in Dodgeball whenever I play, until the servers are empty (it does not take long for me to yearn for a new game to play that isn’t Paintball) 😭😭😭

Honestly it's shocking that they haven't really bothered with updating Quests or Sports. You think after 8 years they'd optimize or update some things like ai getting stuck on corners, more maps for games, a better system for Rec Rally, the weekies, etc.
I’ve always wanted for rec room to go back to the old format of rec room originals to be honest. We got more content in 2016-2018 than we have in the past 6 years!! I do know they rely on community rooms nowadays, but come on. They made Jumbotron and golden trophy in the span of 6 months with a team of 10 people. Allot of their employees are probably busy developing things besides RRO’s now, but I say they should stick to the old way they handled things. Even if it doesn’t bring them money, great way to keep your community actively logging on to play,
Probably allot of factors im missing, but they do have like 300 employees so they can definitely gather a few people who can reliably produce replayable content instead of crappy RRS showcases that no one enjoys.
I feel like there should be more quests. Speaking of laser tag, I always feel like they should add more maps. Speaking of Rec Room originals, who here ever goes to the RRO sprawling park with amphitheater, play fields, and a cave? The only boring part about Make it to Midnight is waiting for exactly 5 people to join in. I do agree on what you said, and brought up good points

You're right about bowling. I was grinding on screen mode playing bowling because it was easier to play as. I've done bowling twice since then, it's been a few years mind ya.
When people say they want a new rro, they talking about how everyone can play it and it being in the sense like Golden Trophy, Crimson Cauldron, or Jumbotron. A game with some sort of story line to it.

I seriously don't think they are making another Quest ever again. Gribbly even kind of hinted that in that one Reddit comment.

If I'm gonna be honest... I just don't see the point of RROs. I really don't. I mean, yeah, they're polished, but really that's it.
I'm sure people will say "They're super fun!" but like: There's lots of other games out there that are just like them, but better.
Also, "They give you tokens for playing them" is not a valid reason. We're considering the actual quality of the games here.

i completely agree. what rec room can do is put it to a community vote on what the community wants and players can send in ideas. it has felt repetitive lately and this can spice it up. with this idea the community should see the development while they are doing it instead of only knowing the month before.

After watching more of this video, is this a late April Fools joke? I seriously can't tell if this is a late joke.
This is why many people are leaving the game. I think they’ve spent way too much time on things casual players do not care for. Although I don’t believe that people can “leave games”, I do believe that games can become “not their favorite” and so won’t play them. I’ve fallen in love with Portal games and, although Valve is not the most active, the community has not “quit” the game and people actually make quality content (like Portal: Revolution) unlike RR’s community of Roblox Rip-offs.
I feel like the problem with rec room originals is that RR views them as one and down
Every year they release a new mode and then they never add anything to it
It’s been close to 2 years since the western mode came out and they haven’t added a new weapon, map, or mode to it since
Rec Room wants to give the illusion that they are a massively growing game but all they’re doing is the bare minimum

They don't want to support RRO communities anymore, they simply aren't as profitable. They're trying to be less unique and more like Roblox, specifically because there's money to be made. It's not possible for such a big company to support players who just want to play, but at the same time it doesn't have a big enough community for some kind of #FixRecRoom movement (like TF2.)
edit: just learned like 2 minutes later that SaveRecRoom is a thing. That's some insane luck, I must have superpowers or some sh**.
However, it appears that #SaveRecRoom doesn't apply to the reasons I don't like the game anymore. I don't care for new cosmetics, as I already have a main outfit that I never switch off of. Begging for that that stupid skeleton set to be cheaper isn't gonna make you more unique than others. If you are buying 5,000 token cosmetics just to have them in your collection to then get mad when new ones come out and your token balance is at 230, that's on you.
I simply want RROs to be updated and actively supported, instead of each new one being thrown into the pile ("I don't want to play with you anymore" lmao.) Instead of a yearly teaser for a new RRO, it could be a teaser perhaps every 4 months for a new paintball gun or a new Bonky ability. They could even make polls to ask which RRO gets an update first, this way no RRO gets hung up because ^Paddleball needed a new arena. There are some issues to this idea though, as there is no real reason for them to follow through with it. There's no money to be made.
Hear me out though, what if there were a new skin added for a week after each RRO update, that is themed around the new changes? Like if there were a new paintball rocket launcher, there would be a neat skin for it that lets other players know they were there for the release. Perhaps if a new enemy gets added to ILS, there would be a skin for any item themed around that enemy or ILS in general.
I know this idea is only good on paper, as they just removed weeklies. This would only be viable to replace weeklies, but it's still a cool idea to think about.

Since Rec Room is almost like Roblox, I don’t think they expect you to play _just_ the RROs, but it’s just my thought ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i know, nobody cares, but i have an idea for a quest! so the idea is this: since Rec Room Quests are technically a school play, everything in this new quest or whatever gonna happen in a college. The enemies will be a mix of all the other quests and maybe some events, the quest itself is gonna be taken into two 20 minutes parts, making the whole quest as long as crescendo but also accessible for oculus quest users, its gonna include almost all the weapons, adding a few more, and a mix of all of the weapons, being the single most powerful weapon. Two parts each have a boss, one is easy, one is a bit harder. The maps itself are gonna be almost all of the RRO's (Dodgeball, Soccer, Rec Center, etc.) and on some of them are gonna be waves of enemies, 3 of them to be exact and they are gonna be quick. Each wave will give enemies harder to beat. Maybe, even trying out something new, instead of 4 players, there is gonna be 2 more, making it 6 players in a quest. The more players there are, the more health enemies have. Maybe even include some lore characters and stuff like that!
