I liked Bloodstones as first, but man it wore off in a hurry. The asymmetry is barely there and the scoring is not interesting at all. Glad I didn't back it. 3rd cat! I had 2 at most, have 1 currently after losing my 14 year old cat last year.
I remember them saying when the first Twilight Imperium 4 expansion came out that it would be the only one, therefore, that's why they packed it so full to the brim with stuff. I'm a little disconcerted that they may be going back on that, as there's already so much to use for it. I'd be much happier with a TI5.
I understand the frustration about Promos on the after sale market, but I blame the ‘supplier’ for the lack of supply, rather than the individual ‘trying their luck to make a big profit’. Also, it can be a reality check on your own passion for boardgames going a bit too far… the fact that you are so frustrated by it.
Promos are promos. You're talking about these games. Marketing goal acheived. Promos are fun for those who get them while there. If you dont like the nature of how a particular company handles promos, it should inform your relationship with that company. Don't support them. That said, selling limited things for high prices is not new since man invented trading. Just remember, it is the buyer, not the seller, who ultimately decides the upper limit of value. A promo you wouldn't take for free might be worth $100 to someone out there, but just because someone is listing something, does not mean it is worth that much until it is actually sold.
Jaime Foxx was signing for free and yeah, it pisses me off too as I waited in line two days to buy the game and got screwed out of it twice, and to see someone buy it just to jack up the price pissed me off too 😡
The Grimcoven thing is NOT a balancing issue. The game was designed to be really difficult as it was inspired by the souls-like genre. The 'easy mode' was a bone thrown to the backers who went into the campaign thinking it's a 'Ghost of Tsushima' when it's really a 'Sekiro'
My wife and I have played Intent to Kill 3 times now. It will always be a 1v1 game for us. We actually really enjoy it. This game feels like Guess Who, Clue, and Turing Machine had a baby. A lot of fun in 30-45 minutes.
The only reason I'm not exorcised is that I couldn't care less about most of those "special" things. Coming from the wargame world (and many years ago) the big benefit of conventions was that the games were available and you got a little discount - about the only way you could.
The 2 summoner wars boxes are just bundling 6 factions that weren't already bundled. I wonder if It'll come to english. We should play some time Chris!

I disagree with your take on the World Series of board gaming. I personally don’t feel like WSBG has marketed in a way that makes it feel like gambling. I’m going this year (not competing in the inner circle games) because I enjoy playing the games I love against competition better than I am. I’m not going with any thoughts of winning money or betting my savings on taking home 1st. I just enjoy seeing the top 1% perform and how they do it, no matter the hobby. I attend rock climbing, disc golf, & lifting competitions and WSBG feels similar to these other events for me.
Not interested in AR games anymore whatsoever. They put out a product and move on to the next one, so we end up with zero support on forums. Look at Primal - that's a great example of a game and company behind it. They took their time, so the game doesn't have any major issues and they support it. There're other companies with similar policy. Them I want to support conidering I'm interested in their game in the first place. AR, Steamforge, CMON are not like them, so regardless of the quality of products (which is questionable) they put out, I don't want to have any connection to them
