If you were to drive a little further from Hartlepool to Port Clarence on the Tees you could take the Transporter Bridge over to Middlesbrough and then take the family out to Saltburn for the day. If you’ve never visited it’s a really lovely spot with a great park for kids with a miniature railway in the valley, a pier and canny promenade on the beach and some amazing views if you walk up to Huntcliffe.

I am born and bred in the Headland Hartlepool and wish i was back down there with all my heart and soul. I have family down there. If i could i would be down there in a heart beat.
