Maybe the husbands of these ladies do not allow them to participate, and travelling alone for a woman in rural Pakistan could also be difficult. This all could play a role.
To the guys who run TPT, I'm with Rani on this one - you do a great job with the channels, but the heavy focus on the male participants is clearly affecting the women and giving them less work and therefore less income from being called to participate in the videos. We enjoy seeing these women and hearing their unique opinions and thoughts about things they try as much as the guys. Please try to offer them more air time and increase their chances to make more income from the channel directly to reduce their financial struggles... it's clear they enjoy it a lot and miss not being involved as much as they once were and they deserve to have more videos. Maybe even try to do what other "tribal" channels are doing lately to great success and mix/combine the men and women into one video trying the same stuff... this is the 21st century afterall and Pakistan is a country that claims to offer women the same opportunities as men in education, work and social roles. If that's really the case, let us see more female representation on your channels too! It makes a good impression, attracts more viewers and that's good for them, you and us, a win-win! Thank you! To the person running this account, the lady at 1:50 needs to go to an endocrinologist , her swelling of her neck looks like inflammation of her thyroid, please I am a concerned viewer, I know someone who had this problem and was kind enough to educate me and see the signs.
In the picture, Mr Elliott is sitting next to a famous horror movie character from the 1980's, Elvira. Actually I'm pretty sure it's a cardboard cut-out of her.
One of them says she can buy new clothes for her kids as well as groceries for the month. That gives you some idea. I don't know how many children she has but food for at least 3-4 people (say 2 parents, 2 kids) doesn't come cheap anywhere these days. Another lady says it will cover her rent, and leave some over. And one said she'd never seen so much cash in her life.
I am curious as to know who exactly are so called tribal women in this channel. Does Pakistan have Scheduled Tribes category administered by the government like India does?
