I just found this a few days ago and even though it is a good description of her music career it brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it. Brooke is still fighting for her life. She shows some signs of improvement but still has a long way to go. Her doctors tell me that she is young and has a strong body therefore has a good chance of recovery. Oh, Brooke... I feel so bad for her and her family. She's been in a coma for over 3 years and, from what is posted online at least, had had little to no progress/recovery. Over 20 years later after her album came out and I still remember getting her CD in 2001 as a young teen and actually seeing Brooke perform at my local mall (maybe I got the CD at the same time, I don't know). She was so nice, and her songs so lively and fun. I wish her career had taken off, as she truly had the talent and vocal ability for it. I wish her all the best, and everyone who knows her too. Oh, and happy belated birthday for Sept. 26th, Brooke!! 💜
WHAT?! Holy crap! I had no idea what happened to her! I loved her first album. I randomly found her after I heard her Cinderella songs and looked her up and loved what I heard in her voice. Oh, I'm so heartbroken to hear about her health issues.
I remember seeing Brooke in person at my high school. She was singing one of her songs and this morning I suddenly remembered her. I had wondered what happened to her. I feel terrible hearing about her heart attacks. I think i may still have her single somewhere.
I discovered her early in the year when I was exploring old early 2000's girl pop groups, and she was definitely one of the top artists that I enjoyed. I almost decided to order her album on ebay coz I thought it'd be a fun one to own. I didnt. But I found TWO of her disk releases at goodwill last week, so I purchased the main album. The other one had I think Kiss off and like 5 or 6 remixes of it. But I'm glad I have it, but jammin to it in the car for now lol. Had NO idea of anything so I found this video. It's so bad to hear she's been in a comma! That's so sad :(
There were so many labels trying to have their own Britney or Christina at that time. The reason Mandy and Jessica were able to have some sussces around Britney is because they were promote right
I have JUST discovered her and listened to the album. Unsurprisingly, I can't stand the ballads, but the rest is alright. "The Kiss-Off", 'Toodle-Oo" , "Rollercoaster" and "Thought You Might Wanna Know" are BOPS, though.
