The gunkan with the quail egg look so good, I wish to try this the next time I am in Japan (Just 2.5 months more, and I will be there, I cant wait 🙂). Raw egg is always dangerous, but in Japan the hygene standards are so high, that I would not worry at all.
The natto sushi however 😞 is definitely not for me. One of the very few things I dont like in Japanese food.

Your trip to Japan is just around the corner! Feel free to try Japanese raw eggs. You don't need to eat natto to enjoy it!

Just out of interest: have you travelled to other countries, and if yes, how did you like the food there ?

About the countries I've been to in the past: America, Canada, China, and Hong Kong (England) before it was handed over to China. I don't remember much about the countries other than America and Canada, because I was taken there when I was a child. As for America and Canada, they were just like the images I had seen in movies and TV dramas. Huge pizzas and hamburgers! Steaks! I have a rather wild image of them.

@@EnjoyTravelJapan Okay, it doesnt seem that you have been recently outside of Japan. Which is of course totally fine. I was just wondering, as where people have been, tells a lot of what they know and understand in matters of food.

Myself, I love travelling and have been to many countries. My favorites are Japan, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa, Sambia, Italy, Australia and Costa Rica.

You've traveled to so many countries! That's amazing! Lately I've been traveling mostly within Japan. If I get the chance, I'll try to go abroad too!
