Easy peasy clean up for sure. These grates will last a very long time taking care of them like that, however when they do need replacing, I think I'm gonna get Chris to plasma cut some 1/4" plates for grates and put handles on each end pointing upward to make getting them out easier. Those should outlive me for sure, plus you could put a dutch oven right on top of them as long as the slots are more narrow than the legs on the dutch oven. I would make sure of that. Awesome instructional video Alton!
EXACTLY!!! Man I was thinking about that with the plasma cut fire grate in the LSG smoker! Great minds think alike bro!!! Thanks for watching and if you make a move on that, holla at me. I'd definitely jump in for getting those...
That's an awesome grill..! I almost ordered that one but I have plans to have one built for phase 2 of my mobile smoker.. If I change my mind I'll probably end up getting that model you have. Thanks for the maintenance video.
HA!! They don't stay clean for long... it was so shinny off the truck bro! Grill maintenance is a must. Spay oil is such a good tool. Great tips DF! See you next time!
Hey Alton, enjoyed the video! What do you recommend for cleaning the cooking grates? I have a santa maria with an expanded metal grate that I can't seem to find a good brush or tool for. It eats them up really fast and makes me worried a bristle will end up in our food. Thanks!
I typically burn mine off after a cook by lowering the rack closer to the fire. After a few minutes I brush them clean with a wire brush. The key with that is to assure you are using a good wire brush that is not too old. Sometimes I don't use the brush and use crumpled up foil too. After that I spray the rack down with oil once the grill is cool.
Hey man get yourself a silver marker and mark the edges of where the ash pan goes so you can see it from the front of the grill and not have to bend all the way down to line it up and get it replaced.
what size wheel do you have on that bad boy? Thinking about getting one of these one day. If you had to do again would you buy the same think? Any changes? Well done on the Video!! Thanks RG

Easy Clean up on the LONE STAR GRILLS SNATA MARIA that is one awesome cooker

What’s your thoughts on the sunterra Santa Maria style vs LSG?
I love the music!
What do you use to maintain the exterior of the grill? How’s the exterior holding up to rust?
You can clean the exterior with a mild dish soap and water, then apply mineral oil to keep the sheen.
What’s the spray for ?
Same question plus what spray is it? Just a cooking oil type spray?
AND NOWWWWW YA KNOW!!! 😉 😘 #easypeasy 🙌🏻🔥
what size wheel do you have on that bad boy?
