I can imagine how tragic their parents backstory could’ve been…even though interracial marriage and relationships have been legal since 1968 (check out the case of Richard and Mildred Loving for the backstory) some members of society still frowned upon folks dating outside their own race and like he said he wasn’t married to their birth mother and he had no real way to prove paternity other than his word so that’s probably why he was never able to find them and was also denied access to their adoption records plus since the mother died of childbirth complications he couldn’t ask her why she didn’t tell him about her pregnancy cause I would like to think that if he knew about the girls before they were born not only would he have been on the first flight back to Florida he probably would’ve married her before he left but with her dead they probably will never get a definitive answer

It’s a really beautiful contrast compared to another sitcom that focused on realizing family isn’t just your immediate flesh and blood.
Take for example, Fresh Prince of BelAir. We followed Will with his extended family of uncle, aunt, and cousins - then as soon as his father comes back into his life, Will is ready to ditch the family that was there for him and go chasing after his daddy. Only to find out his father still wasn’t ready to truly be around for him.
Tia & Tamera had their birth father who readily admits the very unfortunate circumstances that led to his not raising them, but had always been looking to find his girls. Sure, he’s a perfect stranger to these two grown women today. Still, their birth and adoption wasn’t a case of their parents abandoning / walking out. I’m glad they both accept him into their adult lives for the final season.

And when you put the coins together, that’s when you all discovered your powers and that you were the descendants of the rulers of an ancient kingdom that had once been ruled harmoniously until the pasta nation struck, and since then it’s been under the rule of the evil Lord Alfredosauce 😈, for the past 4000 years, and only you and your siblings working together, as you learn to control and harness your powers, can defeat him and his dark pasta water magic because you are _The Chosen Ones,_ right?

She was really out of pocket for saying that to her biological father after what he said but at the same time her emotions are justified.

I just found my biological mother on fb on November 15th. I was adopted and my mother changed my name so when my biological mother was trying to search for me she couldn’t find me because she was looking under the wrong name. it’s crazy how i just went on fb typed in my real last name and that’s how i was able to find her

Tamera’s reaction really didn’t surprise me. She had a father all her life. Her maturity was never really up there either, IM JUST SAYING 😂😂😂😂. He was looking for them the whole time.

I think Tamara's reaction was rude. I could see her reacting that way if she had always thought Ray was her biological dad. But she knew her biological dad might be somewhere out there. Most adopted children dream of meeting their biological parents.
