This is my childhood. In a tent or basement, listening on my original Walkman with an AM/FM setting, marveling at all the information you're never taught in screwl, but knowing it'll be invaluable later in life. Thanks, Art, took 30yrs, but I'm able to ask with a smile, "now who's crazy?"

Discovered this show listening to baseball on armed forces AM radio in the UK. This show must have followed it. Had no idea what the show was and the signal used to drift in and out. Amazing show, amazing host

Did you know train's song "drops of jupiter" was written about the singers mother dying from cancer and instead of going to heaven her soul goes out into the foreverness of space? I like to think arts out there exploring too.
Nobody today can touch Art's talent for radio. He had such an appropriately creepy delivery that set the mood each night for a great night! He was awesome. Norry has ruined C2C. He may be a nice guy but he is no Art. Knapp is good, but he has a lot of irons in the fire. Art did that show and was the first to use the internet to augment the radio show. He was ahead of his time.
Up to 2 years ago most of the Art Bell catalogue was on Tune in radio. Literally thousands of hours. Then overnight. Bang all the lot gone !! I used to listen to all my fav shows of Arts over n over again t was better than listening to all the new crap esp when R hogan was on and Mel’s hole and the Time Machine guy Such a massive loss !!!! Heard it was coast 2 coast sending a writ out to everyone ? Why ? Some of the shows were from 96/97. Unbelievable that’s all I can say. If the present radio stations are worried about Art from 20 years ago all I can say is sort your programme out and presenters ! Plus. YOU LL NEVER BEAT ART his voice n humour was made for late night radio. Even his music was great
When young I was at a popular swimming hole near Jewell, Or. This swimming hole had a rope swing that was about 60 feet above the water in a tree on the edge of a cliff. The rivers edge was rocks and boulders. I had parked my car near the edge, climbed on top, grabbed the rope and swung out and over the river. As it was Winter I didn't drop into the water but instead swung back to the ledge of the cliff and let go of the rope. Only I wasn't far enough on to the cliff to be able to walk away. I was going to fall to the rocks below. Instinctively I turned and jumped back to try and catch the rope. In the air, I swear to this day I was carried back to that rope by an angel. I literally felt the entity holding me and flying me to that rope. I've never felt anything like that before or since. But there is no way you could convince me otherwise. That day I was carried back to that rope by a guardian angel.
my brother and i are enamored with Art Bell productions and take recordings (such as this) and listen to them around a campfire late at night when we go camping. There's nothing like being in a dark forest with Art Bell mp3's playing on the boom box. Ironically, Art's soothing voice and the imagination-inspiring topics often lull us to sleep, one by one.
I found Art Bell when I was at a all time low. Just went thru a divorce that I didn't want, then one night I found Art and I listened to him every night after. It was like when I heard his voice I knew everything was going to be alright. Much Love Art . RIP you are missed.
George Noory means well, but hasn't the depth of intellect that Art Bell had, and he doesn't ask insightful follow-up questions, imo. Still I'm glad C2C continues to this day.
I miss living out in the middle of a cornfield in a trailer, trying to tune in Art Bell on an old RadioShack SW/AM/FM radio. I heard some of his best shows out there. I usually had to swap channels mid show but I always enjoyed the effort it took to get a good AM signal. Brings back a lot of memories.

I always get into deep thinking when I hear "Ray Lynch the oh of pleasure". I always think how people communicated before my 1997 birth year about Alien Abduction, Area 51, and Sasquatch. I listened to some of the predictions that was on the show. Its frightening that The Country never really changed. 04:38:54 this happened to my mother…she had a flat tire in the middle of no-where….said a prayer for help, and out of no-where a man appeared, well- dressed…never said a word…changed her tire, and when she went to thank him, he was gone. Never saw his car or could remember his face.
I was told by a navy Intelligence officer back in the early 90s that asked humans knew the truth we would probably have a heart attack right on the spot and or we would have to learn everything we ever thought we knew all over again

My great aunt had a cattle and horse farm near Ruidoso NM and I clearly remember her telling my parents about this phenomenon in 1973 and how her parents and grandparents had the same thing happening both in NM and the Texas Panhandle. Truly I did not sleep at all that night. I cannot see any benefit to the government to go through the hassle and expense to abduct these animals, mutilate them and then return them. Surely they would find it easier and more concealable to just buy the animals and perform the experiment at their own facilities
