Great info David. Passed my general and ordering first radio Icom_7300. Was looking at same power supply as you but person at local club recommended linear power supply. Any thoughts?
The Samlex 1235M is a great power supply and will serve you well. I've had the same one for 6 years with no issues. A linear power supply is good too, but they're much larger in size, much heavier, and much more expensive. Linears used to be preferred because they were much quieter on the air than old switching power supplies (which could cause a noisy RF signal due to the constant switching) but with modern switching power supplies like this Samlex it's no longer an issue.
I like the fact this radio comes with a proper manual. So tired of "after thought" manuals that are almost like they produced a radio and then thought "Oh yea, we should throw together a user manual for it." Wish I could afford a better radio like this one. Someday perhaps. Thanks for the video David.

That’s custom printed. The 7300 doesn’t come with anything that nice what so ever.
