Dammit now you’ve got me turned onto Newfoundland. So now I’m going to have to buy a sailboat, learn how to sail it, and someday hopefully make it up the east coast of the US. Love what you and everyone else in your region is doing, very picturesque. Not sure if coffee plugs ( t horton) are going to net you a sponsor. Get the 29’ Bayfield back in the water soon, take care
Thanks so much. The 29 is still on the hard down at the marina. I'm going to try and get the old diesel engine rebuilt this winter. Maybe next summer she'll be back in the water. Take care.
I just made a 9 foot yuloh oar for the back of my little sailboat. My thinking is it will get me off the dock? We shall see about that. If nothing else it'll be good exercise. Be well...
I think that's a great idea. How long is your boat? In the old days, my grandfather would have used what we call a sculling oar. It would go out the back of the boat as well but would be probably 15 feet long depending on the size of boat. I like your idea.

I hope you get a Bayfield someday too. I'm fortunate to have one. Thanks for commenting.

You should have got a pan from Cliff, there’s no way I would have parted with those scallops! Lol.
Haha.. I didn't think of that lol.
