Memories of Joe singing this on SNL, with John Belushi wobbling out on stage like a demented doppelgänger! Good times…
The song was Feeing Alright
😂😂 yes it was. Bring back the good times. Bring back love.
Memories of Joe at Woodstock - even better ;)
Wow that was a very long time ago 😮 I love Susan and Derek ❤ They give me hope for the future of music, and I mean great music✌️❤️🌼
That clip is from season 1 of SNL & is my favorite. SNL was almost cxl but after that performance they were then signed to do a season 2 & so forth.
I was at Woodstock and saw Joe for the first time. Later when Leon Russell put the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour on the road my friends and I saw them at New Paltz NY. Great Show. This is a Great Tribute.
i remember Joe Blasting this at WOODSTOCK!! Had a drink with him afterwards, this brought back memories and tears yo my eyes.
Couldn’t pick a better vocalist for this one!
This was a tribute to Joe Cocker with Dave mason, Rita Coolidge and Leon Russell. They all preformed on the Mad Dogs and the Englishman Tour form 1970
gee i have that on dvd and i thought the Beatles did that first
@@randysenovitz1276 Joe Cocker's cover blew away Ringo's original. Rare for a Beatles song, but true
@@EricS16 Joes covers often blew away the original
How cool is it that Derek and Susan brought as many of the original band members to the forefront for this. The great ones respect their elders and those on whose shoulders they stand. Chris Robinson does an outstanding job here, but don't fail to notice that it took both Susan Tedeschi and him to replace the work of Joe Cocker on this number.
The Beatles wrote it and did it, it was not unusual for Joe cocker to take Beatles songs and turn them on their head.
I thought Derrick,s guitar was gonna catch 🔥 fire.
BEAUTIFUL ✌️😚🖤🎶🎵💨💨💨💨💨✔️
Saw the documentary done on this which was awesome. Unfortunately you can not find it anywhere now
Bummer.
Joe Cocker is NOT in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame!!! Why??
Rick Hall - founder of Fame Studio in Muscle Shoals and had a hand in dozens, if not hundreds, of great and influential songs we all know and love - NOT in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame!! WHY??
Because they would rather have rap, hip-hop, disco and every other genre of music unrelated to rock and roll. Horrible.
Like a choir.
1 more day till the Beacon
I'm alive in iT and the 805
yeah anyone seen them lately? need a report please if you CAN!
TTB? Going to see them next month, saw them earlier this year too. They are amazing.
Good, but not as good as the original Joe Cocker versions.
TTB are the greatest touring band (with all due respect to Blackberry Smoke and, of course, Govt Mule) yet it had to be a thrill for them to be on the stage with the man in the top hat from Tulsa Oklahoma, the only MR Leon Russell
It is almost astounding how they manage to not just almost equal the power the late great Joe Cocker brought to this track while amplifying the fun in the tune.
Seldom have I seen a performance that makes me wish an alt me could have been a part of this performance! Just W O W
Wow! I wonder what thoughts were running through Leon's head as he relived this. TTB is by far the best band extant. I see they've got Bramhall with them too, and isn't that Dave Mason in the black hat? Is it 1971 again? I love the male singer; he did a great job, but underscores to me that there was only one Joe Cocker.
That is Chris Robinson from the Black Crowes!
Susan's voice is so good. And I say that as a huge fan of Chris.
Susan is a freaking goddess! Chris is awesome as well. Great front man for sure.
Just love Susan and Derek cause both have played with everyone you could think of. Thank you guys, and everyone else there to give us all that the future of music is ok 💞✌️❤️🌼👏👏
Bringing chills again. Such an amazing show.
New comment-Old post.. I wish I had friends in those kinds of places! Great friends. Great music.
Imagine Joe at an auction.... he'd have 46 items bought before he could calm down! The gavel master's arm would be wore out!
That's what it'll sound like when you walk through the pearly Gates
Good show. But, not Joe Cocker.
WOW. FUCKING SERIOUSLY!
We a should all give a little help for world peace ☮️ ant no time to hate the world has to get togather it’s not to late. Love is the answer not hate
Was my 20 year old anthem!
JOE IS HAPPY IN HEAVEN
I heard Dave Mason play in a medium sized bar in St Thomas USVI on the outskirts of Charlotte Amalie.....in maybe 1988. I cant remember. It does not appear on his historical tour schedule. I think he was "unplugged". So long ago. He had one other guy as I recall. Long time ago. The bar was in Sub Base or Crown Bay area.
Dave Mason is the GOAT.
It's a rare occasion that I get the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end respect to Joe for doing original but these guys trumped him great rendition.
Chris Robbin’s and Susan are great
He's almost manic enough for me to think it was Joe up there. Great performance.
Chris Robinson can do that!
Make joe proud let thair be peace on earth
Horrível...Joe Cocker deve estar se revirando no caixão
Chris Robinson = Rock Star
I imagine that Paolo Nutini could sing this very well.
Yeh...he'd be living the life on this while wearing new shoes!
That's Cris Robinson.
I love seeing multiple people from different groups singing one another’s songs!! ❤
It's embarrassing to be reminded that we screamed through life . But maybe we were evolving
"Cause I am SEEING THINGS, FOR THE FIRST TIME....and I like it, yes I like it Cause it's good"
Good Time! Great Gathering)
Weird. Not funny
I miss Joe.
🎵🌀🎵🌀🎵
Male singer is Chris Robinson, formerly of the Black Crowes. He'd probably agree with you.....
Robinson said in a Rolling Stones article on this performance that he feared he could never live up to the Joe Cocker performance
@@omeletpants Well, he at least tried! NO ONE could live up to Joe - except maybe John Belushi!
He did pretty damn good. Glad he’s back with the Crowes again.
I wish there was a better quality video of this
