FOUR months.

But naturally anything like this comes down to personal opinion. If it was my list people would be incredulous Last Temptation took the top spot over Cape Feare...
yeah I would for sure have that episode top 5 on this listand above homer loves flanders which somehow got on the top 10 like wtf?...….homer and apu and lisa vs malibu stacy are both solid stand out episodes too I would put ahead of the 100th episode and rosebud on this list personally...homer goes to college is a very funny episode..not sure if its plot is top 10 worthy but it is very fun also
The fact that this channel creates the best Simpsons content on RUclips without a single clip of the show is a huge compliment to TheRealJims's writing - it's like Simpsons dialogue during the glory years: no fat. Just as every classic Simpsons episode is packed with gag after gag, every line on TheRealJims's videos is insightful, interesting, or a reminder of some hilarious Simpsons joke from my childhood. Keep it up, love your work!
"We dedicate this next song to a very special woman. She's a hundred years old and she weighs over 200 _winks_ tons." "THIS ENORMOUS WOMAN WILL DEVOUR US ALL!!!! YAAA-!" _jumps in the water_ "uh, I meant the statue..."
The Rake Joke is my single favorite joke in any Simpsons episode ever. I think it is just sold on how Kelsey Grammer grumbles after each rake to the face.

I was surprised how difficult it was to rank the back half of this countdown, or picking 10 episodes in general. Season 5 is kind of a deep season, in that there aren't many "dud" episodes and have mostly solid, midrange episodes of similar quality. Felt kinda guilty about having to omit some of them from even the Top 15.
Seasons 3, 4 and 6 are my favourites for consistency wise, although 4 and 6 do have extreme highs (last exit, monorail, homer badman, who shot burns) and lows (clip shows)
TheRealJims When you point out what missed the cut at 11-15, you remind us all of the genius of this series. The worst episode from Season 5 is better than the best of any modern sitcom.
The Simpsons at this point in the 90's TV landscape is competing with shows like: Beavis and Butthead, Roseanne, Married With Children, FRIENDS, Seinfeld, Home Improvement.
homer and apu can't make even your top 13?...also the barbershop quartet ep has to make your top 10 or your not a simpsons fan period...its got every element we love...but you ranked deep space homer only 9th so...your not a real fan clearly.....really?..
@@toma6068 true.agreed 100%.....season 6 is sneaky great like really fun stories and when I rewatched it last year it made my 2nd favorite after season 4 and right ahead of season 3 when I always had it like closer to my 5th favorite season. ...theres like 16 great episodes 5 good episodes 3 ok and like maybe 1 meh episode(the clip show) ...0 bad episodes out of 25 is pretty legit....4 is just perfect 0 meh episodes besides the clip show as well...and only one ok episode the front..every other episode is great or the rare only good episode...theres less episodes of season 4 so they packed them with extra dialogue jokes which gives it the edge over season 6...its just the most consistently witty written season...6 is pretty god too though otherwise...3 is very solid but has a couple meh episodes like the otto show although I like that episode
Sideshow bob singing the entirety of the HMS pinafore is so fucking iconic, and legitimately one of my favorite moments in the entire show. It kills me every damn time. Although season 7 is probably my favorite, I can’t deny season 5 was bloody amazing.
though he remains an English ...man!!!!!!!!!!!!!poor little buttercup poor littler buttercup though we don't know why....three little maids from school are we pretty as a school girl can be three little maids from school every day is a source of fun hahahahah
My absolute favourite thing about these videos is the fact that you'll include a screencap of a scene/gag and the mere sight of it will make me burst into laughter.
Actually, that last part is "Namu myouhou renge kyou". Homer's uncontrollable Roger Ebert sweating inadvertently renders him versed in the central mantra of Nichiren Buddhism...
"Homer goes to college" will always be an all-timer for me just for the gag of the class watching Homer chase that squirrel around the tree once he's given the choice. Also the Barbershop Quartet episode is all-time memorable.. But even i agree that its hard to say its not only great, but so great it knocks off the 10 you chose.
5 has to be my favorite Simpsons season. So many greats. Homer eating chips in space is the first Simpsons moment I remember watching as a kid (which makes sense, I would've been 4 when it first aired).
The only thing that doesn't get enough love here is YOU man. I understand that your content is somewhat "esoteric" but the amount of time and effort you put into these videos is praiseworthy to say the least. So thanks for all the hard work and thanks to the whole simpsons community that helps you out in any way
"Lisa, ordinarily I'd say stand up for what you believe in, but you've been doing that an awful lot lately." "yeah, you even made us march in that gay rights parade" 😂😂
Acknowledging just how preachy and obnoxious Lisa could be (and would often become in later seasons) went a long way for the Simpsons' ability to stay not only self-aware, but accurately satirize all sides.
@@Belgand Season Five definitely started to catch onto this a lot in hindsight. There were far more role reversals between Homer/Bart and Marge/Lisa in this season than previous ones, and TONS more jokes about how the latter's self righteous, inflexible lifestyle could be just as unhealthy as the former's careless risk taker one.
@@Belgand Yes, it was a good way to question how far you should really go with a cause. Lisa is right that sexist gender roles are a bad thing, but there are problems with her approach. Although, to be fair, I would've liked my own Lisa Lionheart when I was a kid. And the trademark line of the doll "Trust in yourself and you can achieve anything" is still a good message.
Tbh Marge on the lam is my favourite simpsons episode, primarily because of the lionel hutz material. as for this list i was surprised not to see homer the vigilante or homer's barbershop quartet in the top 10. However, i do love season five so much that i can't really diss any of your choices. As always i love your work on this channel!
My top 10: 1) Cape Feare 2) $pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling) 3) Homer Goes to College 4) Bart Gets Famous 5) Rosebud 6) Deep Space Homer 7) Homer's Barbershop Quartet 8) Burn's Heir 9) Sweet Seymour Skinner’s Baadasssss Song 10) Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy
I have to say I love the reveal of Sideshow Bob in Cape Feare. The angles, the music and the menacing tone brings it all together really well. Then it reminds you this is a comedy series and veers right back into hilarious when he starts writing a diary entry and faints from blood loss. I'd probably have Bart Gets Famous in my top 10 mostly for how it's still relevant today in how media popularity tends to work.
Season 5 is my favorite season, so many great stories. My favorite episode of the Simpsons is Homer Goes To College, so this season is a pretty big deal to me. This is all I thought about on Sundays when I was a kid.
I agree that Homer Goes to College is an all time favourite, so I have to go from seeing TheRealJims as a true Simpsons jock, to realising he's just a big NERD. I think it's boring but true to say Homer is the best Simpsons character, and this is the best Homer episode. He's so spontaneous, well intended but thoughtless and destructive. It's so perfect how he has this idea of college only from the movies, and refuses to let the obvious reality of the situation. "Who knows, maybe I have been a bit of an ogre" "Yes you have".
I haven’t watched this yet but I’m already ready to be indignant about the order and selection of these ! Thank you! It’s my favorite and I needed something this morn
It always makes me happy to find there's a new video up. I love your style - simple and effective. And also the music you use, it's just great. Thanks!
Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy and Marge on the Lam would have to be in my top five of this season. They're two episodes that are really funny, but that move me emotionally too. Also Kathleen Turner as Stacy Lovell is an all-time underrated simpsons guest, so many great jokes; "funnelling profits to the Viet Cong", her husbands, she always makes me laugh.
Bart Gets Famous is my favorite almost solely for the box factory bit. I love every joke there. "And now for the most popular room in the tour." "But isn't this the same as all the other rooms?" "Yes, but with one very important difference. Oh wait, they got rid of that. Yes, it is just like all the other rooms."
This is an incredibly difficult season to rank, because there's just so damn many classic moments/episodes in it. I don't know where exactly I'd rank it, but Homer Goes to College is one of my all time favorite episodes, and it would have to be in my top 3 for the season. But I can agree with Cape Feare, the Mr. Thompson bit is one of the funniest scenes ever. "I think he's talking to you..." Also, this season has my favorite animation style ever in the history of the series. They all look so hilariously goofy and it really adds to the jokes, just by looking at the characters' expressions!
While I was watching this, I kept trying to pick out a Season 5 quote to put in the comments, but as the video went on, I realized how difficult it would be to pick just one. Great video as always, Jims!
Cape Fear is awesome but Rosebud is my favorite and (arguably) the most heartwarming episode of fifth season. To see Mr. Burns miss Bobo is truly heartbreaking, even when you wanna punch Monty in the face at times. Plus, seeing Maggie feeling sorry for Mr. Burns and gives Bobo to him just lights up anyone's heart. What do u guys think?
Homer the Vigilante is probably the best Simpsons episode ever. The entire interview with Kent Brockman. "so I said look buddy your car was like that when we got here. And as for your grandma, she shouldn't have mouthed off like that." "dig up stupid".
Okay, let me just use this video to appreciate how you always keep using music from my favorite video games in these videos. Final Fantasy, Monkey Island, Zelda, Chrono Trigger, Castlevania, Donkey Kong Country, ... ❤️
I think the reason that Cape Feare worked so well as a parody is precisely because they didn't need to do a lot of work to justify it. The pieces were all there to make it happen so there was less need for the audience to suspend their disbelief about it. It all just effortlessly flows so it's easy to sit back and enjoy the ride. I think a lot of parodies nowadays, not necessarily just in The Simpsons, seem to put a lot of work into stuffing a square peg into a round hole and that ends up distracting from everything else.
homer and apu got mad disrespected here.....thats iconic...james woods the musical number and of course the trip homer and apu take...brilliant episode
22: Bart’s Inner Child (Has absolutely no direction!) 21: Bart Gets An Elephant (Why do people love this one again?) 20: Marge On the Lam (Lionel Hutz entirely carries this episode) 19: Lady Bouvier’s Lover (Raging Abe Simpson, but worse) 18: Homer the Vigilante (How to do a murder mystery episode wrong) 17: Secrets to a Successful Marriage (I like this episode, don’t love, but like it) 16: Boy Scoutz N the Hood (The story here is bonkers and I love it) 15: Homer Goes to College (Another episode I like, but don’t love) 14: Bart Gets Famous (“Say the line, Bart” ICONIC!) 13: Homer’s Barbershop Quartet (So many bangers here!) 12: Sweet Seymour Skinner’s Badasss Song (What a 100th episode!) 11: Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy (The best commentary the series has seen) 10: Homer Loves Flanders (Another episode that’s just really funny) 9: Homer and Apu (The jokes in here are THE BEST!!!) 8: The Boy Who Knew Too Much (The 2nd best mystery ever) 7: Burns’ Heir (Bart and Burns’ dynamic leads to very funny hijinx) 6: Treehouse of Horror IV (Ned Flanders as the devil? Mr. Burns as Dracula? Top tier!) 5: $pringfield (This episode is INSANE and I love it!) 4: Rosebud (People need to put some respect on this episode’s name) 3: Last Temptation of Homer (Another fan favorite that I love) 2: Deep Space Homer (The gags here are unforgettable!) 1: Cape Feare (Do I need to explain? This is a fan favorite for a reason!)
Homer Goes To College is a personal fave for me, but then it appeals to my goofy sense of humour "Hello Dean, you're a stupid head!" "The only cure for a zany scheme is an even zanier scheme" and of course "NERD!"
Oh, you have got to be kidding me. First you give #1 to an episode that nobody could possibly find funny. Then you give the best episode #6. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?! I mean, great video, can't wait for the next.
I'm not sure why Jims said that this was the hardest season to rank because I didn't find the bottom half too hard, it was more the top half of my list. Here is my current list that will definitely change over time: 22- Secrets Of A Successful Marriage 21- Lady Bouvier's Lover 20- Bart Gets An Elephant 19- Homer And Apu 18- Lisa vs Malibu Stacey 17- The Last Temptation Of Homer 16- Marge On The Lam 15- Homer Goes To College 14- Deep Space Homer 13- Sweet Seymour Skinner's Badasssss Song 12- Homer Loves Flanders 11- Homer The Vigilante 10- Boy Scoutz N The Hood 9- Rosebud 8- Bart Gets Famous 7- Bart's Inner Child 6- Treehouse Of Horror IV 5- Burns' Heir 4- The Boy Who Knew Too Much 3- $pringfield 2- Homer's Barbershop Quartet 1- Cape Feare
Great list, I never liked Deep Space Homer at all but the rest I can really get behind. Aight here's _another rando's season 6 ranking!_ 10. Bart of Darkness 9. The PTA Disbands! 8. Bart vs Australia 7. Lisa's Wedding 6. Lemon of Troy 5. Bart's Comet 4. Homer the Great 3. And Maggie Makes Three 2. Treehouse of Horror V 1. Who Shot Mr. Burns? This season's got 3 top tier episodes and 3 just-below-top-tier episodes, so 1, 2, and 3 are really hard to rank and 4, 5, and 6 are also really hard. I know a lot of people love Homer Badman and Sideshow Bob Roberts too, but I don't see what's special about either of them. They're great episodes but so are all the other episodes.
Season 5 is an interesting season to rank, but here is my list (1 is best, note I will only give reasonings to certain episodes): 1. Secrets of a Successful Marriage (I really love this one, it's my favorite in the series. I like the Homer/Marge relationship episodes, Moe is really funny in this episode imo, although I find the entire episode funny to begin with) 2. Cape Feare (another top tier episode, easily the best Sideshow Bob episode the show has to offer) 3. Burns' Heir 4. Homer Loves Flanders 5. Marge on the Lam 6. $pringfield (although you said you enjoy the Burns stuff the most, I honestly liked the home portions and how it effected the other Simpson members while Marge was gambling, as well as the sweet ending) 7. Deep Space Homer 8. Treehouse of Horror 4 (not gonna lie, it's not my favorite ToH, but I do enjoy this one as well, the gremlin segment could've been improved though) 9. The Last Temptation of Homer 10. Bart Gets an Elephant (funny beginning, sweet story revolving around animal protection, coming from an animal lover) 11. Rosebud (sweet episode but it is pretty overrated imo) 12. Sweet Seymour Skinner's Badassssss Song 13. Homer's Barbershop Quartet 14. Homer the Vigilante 15. Homer and Apu (this part of the list is where I find meh, but the Kwik-E-Mart song was great) 16. Bart's Inner Child 17. Bart Gets Famous (I find this one similar to #16, but I prefer #16) 18. Homer Goes to College 19. Lisa vs Malibu Stacey (this part of the list starts the bad episodes imo; Lisa being a feminist isn't funny) 20. The Boy Who Knew Too Much (boring, although the scene where Bart runs from Skinner is the only exception) 21. Lady Bouvier's Lover 22. Boy Scout'z 'n the Hood (one of the most boring (and worst) episodes in the "classic" era for me, none of that story was interesting)
My favorite Season 5 episode of all time is Homer's Barbershop Quartet. I loved how Homer's musical career parodies The Beatles! I really loved that they got George Harrison to guest star on the show!
My Top 10 Simpsons Season 5 Episodes 10. Sweet Seymour Skinner's Badasssss Song: I absolutely love the Bart and Principal Skinner dynamic in this episode. Flanders running Springfield Elementary is a good switch-up. 9. Boy Scoutz 'N the Hood: "Springfield, Springfield" is an absolute jam with Bart and Milhouse going on a sugar binge. Bart joining the Junior Campers was a nice touch and an interesting Homer and Bart dynamic at the end of the episode. Great episode. 8. Bart Gets An Elephant: Very solid Bart-Centered episode in which he wins an elephant from a radio show. Stampy steals the show in this episode. Hilarious jokes I love including Homer in the Tar Pit and when Bart meets Stampy for the first time. 7. Secrets of a Successful Marriage: Always good to see a Homer and Marge episode, even if the Marge throwing Homer out because Homer did bad plot has been reused a few times already. Love all the scenes of Homer telling relationship secrets to townsfolk and the ending of course. 6. The Last Temptation of Homer: Excellent episode of Homer being matched up with a Female version of him. Love all the dreams that Homer has and the ending where Homer sees Marge again. Very funny jokes in this one, too. 5. Cape Feare: Very well-written Sideshow Bob episode where he is actively trying to kill Bart. Bart-centered episodes are always funny and this is no exception. The Thompsons, The Rake Scene and the scene stealing opera-singing Bob are standout moments. 4. Treehouse of Horror IV: Classic episode. Love the Bart on the bus Segment, The Dracula one is Solid, and Devil Flanders is iconic. 3. Homer Goes to College: Very funny episode with lots of well-placed jokes throughout. Highlights include Homer's scenes with the Dean, "I am so smart, S-M-R-T", Nerds pulling the plug on Itchy and Scratchy and the Infamous "Kidnap the Pig" plot. "Curly, Straight, Curly, Straight." 2. Homer's Barbershop Quartet: Another Amazing Flashback Episode, this time following Homer through a 1 year period singing in a Barbershop Quartet back in the 80s. Lots of Funny and Sweet moments in this episode. A favorite. 1. Bart Gets Famous: What's there to be said about this episode. This is absolutely my favorite of Season 5. Love the box factory scenes and of Bart working with Krusty. A great case study of the whole "15 minutes of Fame" theory and the ending where every Simpsons character says their catchphrase at the same time is gold.
"Hi diddley O Bart!" This treehouse of horror moment actually scared the living HELL outa me as a kid. And by kid I mean 10! 😂😂 Iconic violent gore moment
Funny, the greeting from Devil Flanders wasn't as scary as his other greeting to Bart in this season. "Say your prayers, Simpson..because the schools can't force you like they should!"
I have a huge amount of nostalgia for homer goes the college, it was one of the few we had on VHS and I love the bits like I am so smart, yelling nerd, and it introduced us to the prolific wallet inspector
Cape Fear most definitely one of the best Sideshow Bob episodes. I love the rake joke and for those who like Horror films would get a good kick out of the original films that this episode was based on. I also have to mention that I love the remixed gaming music that you include in these videos because there are some classic games like Zelda and Chrono Trigger that I can remember the music so clearly from them.
As someone who grew up more familiar with season 12 and a mix of classics/middle episodes I'm watching the classic simpsons episodes in full for the first time. Having just watched season 5, wow. It is so consistently funny and a big step up from 1-4 imo. No wonder this was so hard to rank.
"HEY BART DO YOU WANNA SEE MY NEW CHAINSAW AMD HOCKEY MASK?"
"BART DO YOU WANT SOME BROWNIES BEFORE YOU GO TO BED?"
Still makes me laugh out loud whenever I watch that. It's the 'What am I thinking?' that gets me every time.
"Have the Rolling Stones killed"
"But sir-
*"Do as I say"*
Fun Fact: FOX execs wanted The Rolling Stones for this episode, but it was Groening who was pushing for The Ramones. That line was an intentional jab at them.
And Keith Richards would still inexplicably find a way to survive the murder.
@Jamie Petteford what
-Wow, my father an astronaut! I feel so full of...what's the opposite of shame?
-Pride?
-No, not that far from shame.
-Less shame?
-Yeah
Perfect joke.
"Marge I'm confused, is this a sad ending or a happy ending?"
"It's an ending, that's enough"
I know I'm kind of off topic but do anyone know a good website to watch new movies online ?
@Brecken Alejandro Flixportal :D
@Titan Eden Thanks, signed up and it seems to work =) I appreciate it!!
@Brecken Alejandro You are welcome xD
I can’t believe the inanimate carbon rod only appeared in one episode. He’s always the first character I think of when I hear “the simpsons”.
Andreas Baird isnt the carbon rod in almost every simpsons intro?
"Wow, did you actually get to see the rod?"
I love the voice actor, it’s actually the same person that does the baby with one eyebrow.
xaviiiiv nah mate your mistaking it with inanimate plutonium rod. Funny enough both characters are played by the same voice actor so I can understand mixing them up.
The Rod really deserves a Simpsons History episode!
Lisa: Oh no Dad's been drugged!
Marge: No he hasn't.
"The Boy Who Knew Too Much" would not only make my semifinal, it would actually be in my top 3. So many classic jokes:
- the sleeping glasses
- Terminator Skinner
- "I know you can read my thoughts"
- chowder
- Skinner & Homer: The Odd Couple
- McGarnagle
- Playing Good Cop, Bad Cop on Lisa
- "Am I so out of touch? No, it's the children who are wrong"
- Homer asking what "if" means
- "Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel"
- Uncle Arthur's saying
- Apu putting Skinner in his place... again
- and one my favorite jokes ever from the show: Skinner admitting to be a small, petty man and then giving Bart detention for three months... no wait, make that... FOUR months.

I love that episode.
I can prove to you not only that Freddy Quimby is he guilty, but that he is also innocent of not being guilty.

though he remains an English ...man!!!!!!!!!!!!!poor little buttercup poor littler buttercup though we don't know why....three little maids from school are we pretty as a school girl can be three little maids from school every day is a source of fun hahahahah
Sideshow Bob has a pretty good singing voice but I very noticably shuddered at the voice crack near the end of that huge musical number
Ma Flanders: Honey, can't you go faster?
Ned Flanders: I CAN'T, ITS A GEO!
I laugh every time I hear Ned say that
Neddy can be hilarious when he wants to
My absolute favourite thing about these videos is the fact that you'll include a screencap of a scene/gag and the mere sight of it will make me burst into laughter.
"Mu- Murphy, you are a elf, uncontrollably I think.. a wee nunya hohregee cho"
Actually, that last part is "Namu myouhou renge kyou". Homer's uncontrollable Roger Ebert sweating inadvertently renders him versed in the central mantra of Nichiren Buddhism...
"I am the very model of a modern major general."
Pffft. That's nothing. There once was a man from Nantucket, who- [comment interrupted by hitting the wall, the wall of RUclips censorship]
Sladen I always loved homer goes to college
There really is something about his adorable girlish giggle of joy...
That was one of the first ones I ever saw
5 has to be my favorite Simpsons season. So many greats.
Homer eating chips in space is the first Simpsons moment I remember watching as a kid (which makes sense, I would've been 4 when it first aired).
The only thing that doesn't get enough love here is YOU man. I understand that your content is somewhat "esoteric" but the amount of time and effort you put into these videos is praiseworthy to say the least. So thanks for all the hard work and thanks to the whole simpsons community that helps you out in any way
I 2nd this comment. Don't stop creating Simpsons content. I get to geek out to my favorite childhood sitcom.
I laughed so hard at that Mr.Thompson joke, even last week when I watched it again i was rolling, how did the writers come up with such gold?
Right! As a kid I was rolling at how stupid they made Homer come off. Also the Sideshow Bob vs army of rakes moment killed me
I think he's talking to you.
the time jump is used so well for that joke...their all disheveled lol still doing the same bit
"Lisa, ordinarily I'd say stand up for what you believe in, but you've been doing that an awful lot lately."
"yeah, you even made us march in that gay rights parade"
😂😂
LOCAL GAYS SHOW THEIR PRIDE
Leo W "and we can't watch Fox, because they own those chemical weapons plants in Syria"
*"I said hop. In."*
The ‘The’ elephant really pushed up cape feare’s ranking.
That must have been a typo, but this is the one season with an episode about an elephant
Felix Morrissey the ‘The’ elephant is in the parade in cape feare it’s a joke from his last episode
NOT THE ELEPHANTS, ND'AWWWOHH!
@@locha2581 But he was right about one thing, there is another elephant in this season. "Where's my elephant?"
Hannah Shribman-Brown there are about ten
"Egghead likes his booky-book!"
Clearly my number 1
"Just tucking him in!"
Should be no.2 only to cape feare
I like the look of that inanimate carbon rod. They look like a swell dude.
Inanimate carbon rod: Simpsons mysteries
My top 10:
1) Cape Feare
2) $pringfield (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Legalized Gambling)
3) Homer Goes to College
4) Bart Gets Famous
5) Rosebud
6) Deep Space Homer
7) Homer's Barbershop Quartet
8) Burn's Heir
9) Sweet Seymour Skinner’s Baadasssss Song
10) Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy
This season has more memes in it then I remember.
You have to wait two seasons more for steamed hams, though.
The editing and script as always are top notch.
You really aren't kidding. Season 5 is just a melange of consistent 7/10 to 9/10 episodes.
I'm with you guys lol
My favorite season by far. Perfectly weird yet still retains some of the heart of the first few seasons.
"In Rod We Trust"
I haven’t watched this yet but I’m already ready to be indignant about the order and selection of these ! Thank you! It’s my favorite and I needed something this morn
You really bring out the comic book guy in me, great analysis
I enjoy your Simpsons reviews.
I’ve always liked the dramatic stuff. The Last Temptation of Homer will always be a classic in my eyes
Epic Username yeah, one of my top episodes of all time too
"Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song" is one of my favourites. "My geode must be acknowledged!"
It always makes me happy to find there's a new video up. I love your style - simple and effective. And also the music you use, it's just great. Thanks!
The carbon rod and just stamp the ticket man had a fight backstage over the rods ego. They chose to let carbon rod go
Homer's barbershop quartet has always been my favourite of all time but I seem to be in the minority.
Yeah, because it's not like tomboys exist or anything.
Homer Loves Flanders is such a great episode.
-
"It's one of those new robot cars."
*Crashes*
"It's one of those American robot cars."
I will say, I think this season has the most moments that I can just look up “x does y in Simpson’s” on RUclips for a one off laugh
you would be surprised at season 4 and 6..they have just as many if not a few more moments but 5 is really fun too...
@@razkable I'm just going personally and a quikc think off the top of my head but I could be wrong lol
"Smithers, have the Rolling Stones killed"
Is one of my favourite Simpsons bits ever.
Bart Gets Famous is my favorite almost solely for the box factory bit. I love every joke there.
"And now for the most popular room in the tour."
"But isn't this the same as all the other rooms?"
"Yes, but with one very important difference.
Such great eps on this season. And man do I love the sequence with Sideshow Bob and the rakes.
As always... happiness when your vids begin, sadness when they end. Thanks for your work.
Your content is so good Jims
“Rosebud” is my favorite episode of the entire series. Everything just hits so perfectly.
Season 5 has some of my favourite Simpsons jokes, the one with the panda in moes bar and Apus apology pose gets me everytime
13:42 Who”s Here After TOH XXXIV
I see a simpsons video by realjims, I hit like, then I watch
Same
Homer the Vigilante is probably the best Simpsons episode ever.
The entire interview with Kent Brockman.
"so I said look buddy your car was like that when we got here. And as for your grandma, she shouldn't have mouthed off like that."
"dig up stupid".
I would have definitely had Lisa vs. Malibu Stacey on there. Great list as always!
Typical beta cuck, always defending the feminist episodes. Because it's not like it's the parents' fault for buying those dolls, is it?
I love your use of video game music in your videos.
I always look forward to these videos.
Cant wait for the next video!
homer and apu got mad disrespected here.....thats iconic...james woods the musical number and of course the trip homer and apu take...brilliant episode
James Woods was awesome in that
The Mindy episode always felt like season 2 action and tone.
Chris DeRoin in a good way!
22: Bart’s Inner Child (Has absolutely no direction!)
21: Bart Gets An Elephant (Why do people love this one again?)
20: Marge On the Lam (Lionel Hutz entirely carries this episode)
19: Lady Bouvier’s Lover (Raging Abe Simpson, but worse)
18: Homer the Vigilante (How to do a murder mystery episode wrong)
17: Secrets to a Successful Marriage (I like this episode, don’t love, but like it)
16: Boy Scoutz N the Hood (The story here is bonkers and I love it)
15: Homer Goes to College (Another episode I like, but don’t love)
14: Bart Gets Famous (“Say the line, Bart” ICONIC!)
13: Homer’s Barbershop Quartet (So many bangers here!)
12: Sweet Seymour Skinner’s Badasss Song (What a 100th episode!)
11: Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy (The best commentary the series has seen)
10: Homer Loves Flanders (Another episode that’s just really funny)
9: Homer and Apu (The jokes in here are THE BEST!!!)
8: The Boy Who Knew Too Much (The 2nd best mystery ever)
7: Burns’ Heir (Bart and Burns’ dynamic leads to very funny hijinx)
6: Treehouse of Horror IV (Ned Flanders as the devil? Mr. Burns as Dracula? Top tier!)
5: $pringfield (This episode is INSANE and I love it!)
4: Rosebud (People need to put some respect on this episode’s name)
3: Last Temptation of Homer (Another fan favorite that I love)
2: Deep Space Homer (The gags here are unforgettable!)
1: Cape Feare (Do I need to explain? This is a fan favorite for a reason!)
Homer Goes To College is a personal fave for me, but then it appeals to my goofy sense of humour "Hello Dean, you're a stupid head!" "The only cure for a zany scheme is an even zanier scheme" and of course "NERD!"
sm- -rt I mean smarrt..
God I love this channel!
The gremlin haughtiest me as a kid. I was terrified and paranoid after seeing that segment.
I had to watch this video twice because I couldn't stop fantasizing about Lee Majors
I'm glad I have this season on DVD.
“It’s like the plot to Armageddon, except…you know…less stupid.”
Pure gold.
Here is my current list that will definitely change over time:
22- Secrets Of A Successful Marriage
21- Lady Bouvier's Lover
20- Bart Gets An Elephant
19- Homer And Apu
18- Lisa vs Malibu Stacey
17- The Last Temptation Of Homer
16- Marge On The Lam
15- Homer Goes To College
14- Deep Space Homer
13- Sweet Seymour Skinner's Badasssss Song
12- Homer Loves Flanders
11- Homer The Vigilante
10- Boy Scoutz N The Hood
9- Rosebud
8- Bart Gets Famous
7- Bart's Inner Child
6- Treehouse Of Horror IV
5- Burns' Heir
4- The Boy Who Knew Too Much
3- $pringfield
2- Homer's Barbershop Quartet
1- Cape Feare
There's not a weak episode in this season. Every one is quotable and memorable. Hard to top it
06:02 I liked what you did there with the music and the theme
Great list, I never liked Deep Space Homer at all but the rest I can really get behind.
Aight here's _another rando's season 6 ranking!_
10. Bart of Darkness
9. The PTA Disbands!
8. Bart vs Australia
7. Lisa's Wedding
6. Lemon of Troy
5. Bart's Comet
4. Homer the Great
3. And Maggie Makes Three
2. Treehouse of Horror V
The Season 6 list is going to be a lot of fun. There are a ton of episodes that have a good case for being #1
Season 5 is an interesting season to rank, but here is my list (1 is best, note I will only give reasonings to certain episodes):
1. Secrets of a Successful Marriage (I really love this one, it's my favorite in the series. I like the Homer/Marge relationship episodes, Moe is really funny in this episode imo, although I find the entire episode funny to begin with)
2. Cape Feare (another top tier episode, easily the best Sideshow Bob episode the show has to offer)
3. Burns' Heir
4. Homer Loves Flanders
5. Marge on the Lam
6. $pringfield (although you said you enjoy the Burns stuff the most, I honestly liked the home portions and how it effected the other Simpson members while Marge was gambling, as well as the sweet ending)
7. Deep Space Homer
8. Treehouse of Horror 4 (not gonna lie, it's not my favorite ToH, but I do enjoy this one as well, the gremlin segment could've been improved though)
9. The Last Temptation of Homer
10. Bart Gets an Elephant (funny beginning, sweet story revolving around animal protection, coming from an animal lover)
11. Rosebud (sweet episode but it is pretty overrated imo)
12. Sweet Seymour Skinner's Badassssss Song
13. Homer's Barbershop Quartet
14. Homer the Vigilante
15. Homer and Apu (this part of the list is where I find meh, but the Kwik-E-Mart song was great)
16. Bart's Inner Child
17. Bart Gets Famous (I find this one similar to #16, but I prefer #16)
18. Homer Goes to College
19. Lisa vs Malibu Stacey (this part of the list starts the bad episodes imo; Lisa being a feminist isn't funny)
20. The Boy Who Knew Too Much (boring, although the scene where Bart runs from Skinner is the only exception)
21. Lady Bouvier's Lover
Really great list! Although for my number one I would put “Homer goes to College” I LOVE that episode! Still great list
My Top 10 Simpsons Season 5 Episodes
"Curly, Straight, Curly, Straight."
Excellent. It's all falling into place.
$pringfrield has the funniest sequence in the entire show to me. The entire boogeyman part FLOORS me every time, it's so amazing.
