Openly saying you wished for it is not something you generally do if you're actually guilty. His pledge of loyalty sounds like ass kissing, but his character is shown time and again to idealize the brotherhood, the people who rescued him from atomic hell, of course he wants to make a place for himself. Nothing about that is odd or implies guilt.
@@DomR1997 It absolutely does though, because his flimsy denial is immediately counter-argued at which point he simply resorts to swearing his loyalty as a reason not to execute him, which only cements to the judge that the counter argument stands, he did do it and he's not even denying it anymore. Cooper’s family aren’t in Vault 31 because Barb said they would go to a special vault for senior executives that would oversee all the other vaults and that’s NOT 31. The three interconnected 31, 32 & 33 are Bud’s personal experiment ‘Bud’s Buds’ using his junior executive traninees like Betty, Hank & Stephanie. Coopers family will be somewhere else probably in cryo. I also want to know how Cooper and Janey got separated on the day the bombs dropped and how she ended up with her mother in a vault.😊
The Vault Barb's talking sounds an awful lot like Vault 0 from Tactics. I know it's not canon anymore; but I wonder if they're going to resurrect the concept.

The flaw in the armour was mentioned when Coop first met Bud, when he talked about being transfered over from West-tech. Another little lovely moment, was when Lucy was walking into the Observatory compound, a ghoul points at her. That Ghoul was the one that thanked her at the Super Duper Mart.....
Hank calling Moldaver a murderer, when he dropped a fucking nuke on a city of 34,000 people just because his ex-wife left him, is crazy. I suspect Rose and Moldaver were more than just friends as well.
Although not as extreme as Hank, Moldaver is a killer herself. She attacked Vault 33 and killed innocent people inside(minus the ones from Vault 31). Lucy and Norm could've been killed because of her.

15:40 No, you ASSUMED he did it, based only on suspicion. And your assumption influenced your interpretation of his character's actions for the whole show, as it did with many people. Like Vault 4, it's meant to be a lesson on judging and assuming without really knowing the facts. A lesson I feel has been lost on most of the reactors I've seen watch the show.
I hate Maximus hate. He's one of the most realistic characters and he's just hated for it. I'd probably do the same thing he did in every situation in the entire season (except almost steal the Vault 4 fusion core, I'd probably take it to fight them off then give it back at the end)
Looking back, there are hints about the hank reveal in episode 1. During the scene of Lucy and Hank walking, they were watching a tape of one of cooper’s movies.
Norman is probably my favorite character, I hope they don't put him to sleep for the next season! But it would be interesting if they did a time skip perhaps.
RoboBud tells Norm there's nothing (in Vault 31) to eat except for the occasional very large bug. How would large bugs get into the vault? Perhaps a very small human could get out the same way? That's my prediction for season two.
The Ghoul has been playing the game for 200+ years, of course he is overpowered. I love how much the Brotherhoods are bumbling children. The payoff in this episode were so satisfying and how hatable Hank did become, amazing show.
i'm interesting to see how they handle that, The brotherhood seems like a feudal structure with the Prydwen being the head but Arthur Maxon can be killed in Fallout 4 so its up in the Air whether they'll include him as a character
@@krashd I'm pretty sure it's the Prydwen because in the first episode they talk about how their mission comes down from the highest clerics in the "Commonwealth". The only Commonwealth in canon that's still called the Commonwealth is the one that was in Fallout 4.

The actor who played Dane is non-binary, Xelia Mendes-Jones. Even the Brotherhood referred to them as them and the Brothers are far from woke. Thadeus might be a Super-mutant, he healed too fast to be a normal ghoul. Norm is non-violent, he's gonna have to out think Bud, not terrorize him.
I cant wait for season 2, the new vegas tease at the end was amazing and the deathclaw skull was an interesting touch to add there. I do think the ex wift and daughter are in some special vault that's meant for only the highest ranking vault tec leaders and leaders of other top companies that were showcased in the meeting.
The shadowy figures watching over the meeting between the business executives I think had to from the Enclave. In the first episode a radio at the birthday party said the president was missing so I wonder if he too was one of those shadowy figures
@sandycrytzer2967 I learned recently that the goat Kevin Michael Richardson voiced that character lol. Also his last name being Richardson, the last president of the Enclave, is the cherry on top
Doubt it since Fallout 2 the Enclave wasn't tied to Vault Tec, I think they had a few vaults in their control but they knew Vault Tec cut their ties to the Government and were basically trying to overthrow them by taking over the surface themselves, and then Bud even says why bother reviving a failed nation and they were starting their own
@rubenlopez3364 this was before that though so maybe afterwards was when Vault Tech cut ties with the Enclave while the Enclave essentially stole their plan of wanting to wipe out all of the surface dwellers. The flashback would be showing the Enclave monitoring what the business executives were up to before everything went into motion
Big MT stands for Big Mountain. A secluded research facility responsible for things beyond what is currently capable even by Fallout standards. Unfortunately the researchers have developed a massive lack of ethics in their isolation. The person representing them is Frederick Sinclair who is responsible in implementing their advancements into profitable outcomes such as using the hologram technology to make the Sierra Madre hotel and casino which was run almost entirely by AI powered hologram staff and was the location of the Dead Money DLC for Fallout New Vegas
Oooh, I always assumed Big MT was from Fallout 76 for some reason as that has the Appalachian mountains in it and lots of coal mining industry, the name Big MT just seemed to fit it. I really need to play through New Vegas again.

Thank you Marketa, not seen anyone else address the nuclear levels of cvnt Moldaver gives in her monologue The cadence, the expressions, the hand movements, the hair, ugh
People seem to often overlook that Moldaver is doing everything out of spite to Vault-Tech with only a little bit of love to Rose. If she actually loved Rose she would take and adopt Lucy and Norman and kidnap Hank instead of brutally murdering many people who were probably Rose's friends and held her kids at gun point. Point is, ugh is right
This series had the perfect mix of serious, savage, emotional, and goofy all in one show that truly captures the soul of Bethesda's Fallout franchise. It had everything for people who played the game and people who didn't. Fantastic acting by the cast. Also props to the writers. I can't wait to see what else they have in store for us in the next season.
Vaults are suppose to be secure, right? Well then how does the occasional big bug get into vault 31? There must be a hole somewhere and i think Norm will realise that and not get in a pod but escape to the surface through the same hole the bugs get in.

In the Vault Tech Boardroom in the ghoul's flashback, was that Mr. House from New Vegas at the round table, labeled for Rob-Co? Talking about casino and rats eating eachother if cooped up? I didn't catch it when I did my first watch, but saw that the resemblance is sort of there along with the attitude lol.
So uh... if Moldaver was a good person all along who just wanted to bring infinite energy to the wasteland... why exactly did she bring raiders into Vault 33 and left them there to massacre the innocent vault dwellers when all she was there for was grabbing Hank alive? A goal which she greatly jeopardized by bringing raiders who're likely to just randomly kill him because killing everyone they run into is what they do.
Because she was a good person but she fell in the trap of blaming everyone associated with vault tec for the hardships on the surface, and she figured that the ends justified the means. Some casualties in one vault weighed against bringing energy, and a better chance at peace and survival, to an entire section of the wasteland. She probably told the raiders that they could kill anyone but Henry.
I don't think the show is trying to say She's a good person, only that her motive is noble, the whole point of the show is that no one in the wasteland is good
The Enclave is basically the remnants of the US government and military, their whole operation kinda gets destroyed in Fallout 3 though but I guess they've slowly been rebuilding.
Mr House from fallout New Vagas was in the vault tech committee. He had a pencil mustache and smoked a cigarette. He should make an appearance in the next season.
I think there will be a VaultTec vs Brotherhood war if not in the show then in future games. Because why did Maximus join the BoS? To hurt the people who hurt him.
Biggest civil player Mr. House- after BW has all this firm and city NV (at end), Big MT- Big Mountain- main science labs, rest no matter after BW and Enclave (in war room screen going up and Barb "tell" decision)- remnants of goverment with best gear and science (CF was stolen from E, noone has thats technology after BW)... BoS "talk with flags" with NCR in HQ (G Observatory) :D
Question: If Moldaver was so altruistic and loved Rose so much, then why did she try to have Rose's children brutally massacred in vault 33? why did she knowingly marry off Rose's daughter to a scumbag who was supposed to hack her up in their wedding bed? Moldaver did not purposefully spare either one of them, and they both would have died, along with many people who were almost certainly longtime friends of Rose, if not for the intervention of their own family members and vault dwellers. Moldaver... Just.. weird, weird character motivations there. Extremely weird. Also - the Brotherhood Knights have headlamps on their power armor. Just think about that during the scene where the Ghoul steals the fusion core. they. all. have. head. lamps.
I'm really suspicious of Dane, Maximus get to where he is because of Dane. Get to leave with knight Titus, Dan speak up to save him and their last scene together Dane really jump the shark quickly assuming that Maximus kill Moldevar and praise him. Almost like Dane is pushing him into having more power.
Micky you said you were going to play New Vegas? since you guys were confused about Big MT, when you play New Vegas make sure to play the Old World Blues dlc to understand the reference. then you can try to explain it to the rest of the couch.
the NCR was a collection of states in the west, they did have a good (not perfect, no where near perfect) thing going on and it was way more stable towards the heart of the NCR so yeah, fuck Hank lol bro did more than destroy a community he couldve destroyed the whole stability of the west coast wasteland

The last thing I would ever follow is Buds advice, because it would be the last thing I do. He’s a poor thinker leading an immoral company. I’ll bet his position was from nepotism. I also think Moldaver has lasted the 220 years by being a clone. Just don’t call her Gary. She seems much more level headed than Gary.
I just hope they make the Mysterious Stranger a character.. just some stuff goes down and out of nowhere a guy in a trench coat shoots someone, you never see their face, and they just randomly pop up now and then to take a random shot without any context.
There's a wild theory I heard concerning Maximus and Janey (Cooper Howard's daughter) - What if Maximus is The Ghoul's great grandson? As in, Coop's daughter is Max's grandma? We know he was probably born in Shady Sands. His daughter may have somehow wound up there. just a theory I heard is all. 😎

@@DomR1997 I said "essentially" not "literally." As in, his reaction to being accused was to immediately offer to do anything for the Brotherhood rather than deny it in any way, which would only confirm to the judge that he did indeed do it and wants to bribe his way out of it.
@@officiallyjan8596 I understand what you're saying, I *am* saying "literally" in that you are literally wrong because the)) first thing he did was adamantly deny the accusations after they were made. Saying "rather than" means he did one thing instead of another, but the reality is that he first denied it, admitted to wishing for it, and then pledged his loyalty.
There is a 0% chance of the Brotherhood Elder walking out of that interrogation NOT being 100% convinced Maximus did it.
"You're guilty"
"No I'm not"
"Yes you are, because X"
"I'll do anything not to be executed"
^ You don't see how that wouldn't convince anyone he didn't do it? Especially considering the Elder was already convinced he did it in the first place. It was literally the show's first instance of Maximus' 1 INT 10 Luck build failing him upwards after taking the worst dialogue option.
I mean it’s not hard to imagine they made it home on the horse, full of radiation poisoning which would halt/probably be cured during cryo. He just got separated somehow. Probably refused to go along with her for being a part of the destruction. And lost track of them during the mayhem.
@@zimvader25 It's more likely she just didn't let him in and left him outside the vault, they were divorced, and it's very likely because he confronted her about being a genocidal monster.
Guys, I think Moldaver and Lucy’s mom were roommates.
LOL, well done. And agreed.
Oh my god, they were roommates
Definitely besties. ;) ;) ;)
Full disclosure, what’s this about? I binged the series the week after it came out, did I miss something? Or is this a reference to the actors and another show they were on, or something?
@@KainErrow Moldaver in the end was holding Rose's hand as she bled out. She kept her ghoul body around for all this time too. The implication is that the two might've been more than just acquaintances.
A common stereotype with lesbians or gay bros is that they often say they're roommates instead of a couple, to avoid having to deal with coming out towards specific people (landlords, parents, etc.).
30:00 Fun Fallout 2 fact: there's already porn in the Wastelaand, and your character can star in one
Sorry, Maximus haters (Micky), he's innocent.
he went for that idiot savant perk early.
“A good villain doesn’t believe they’re a villain”
Although not as extreme as Hank, Moldaver is a killer herself. She attacked Vault 33 and killed innocent people inside(minus the ones from Vault 31). Lucy and Norm could've been killed because of her.

38:35 I recently watched a video of a guy talking about this very thing it’s called the Peter Principle. You get hired at a job you do really well at the job so they promote you. You keep doing well at the new position so well they promote you further. At some point you will get promoted to a position which you may not be entirely qualified for.
Who's Peter though?
@@gibsonmunyi7225I'm thinking Maximus or Dane
@@GangstaStan010 Maximus and Dane are definitely qualified, Dane was qualified enough to actually make the cut before Max did, the only reason Max didn't get called to action first is because he lacks the initative to do what is necessary.
but now he has drive and has what it takes to rebuild the brotherhood of steel

The code input for Cold Fusion is 101097. This is the release date for the original Fallout, October 10, 1997!

5:50 That guy is not the head, he probably answers to Arthur Maxon since they have the Prydwen. He's not even the highest ranking elder.
i'm interesting to see how they handle that, The brotherhood seems like a feudal structure with the Prydwen being the head but Arthur Maxon can be killed in Fallout 4 so its up in the Air whether they'll include him as a character
Not yet anyway.
Do we know for sure that that is actually the Prydwen?
@@krashd I'm pretty sure it's the Prydwen because in the first episode they talk about how their mission comes down from the highest clerics in the "Commonwealth". The only Commonwealth in canon that's still called the Commonwealth is the one that was in Fallout 4.

Insert "The president of the united fuckin states of America" quote lmao
I think I'm the only person who watched this show who genuinely never suspected Maximus of putting the razor blade in Dane's boot!
Rose + Moldaver the most platonic of friends

Scissor sisters.
Crazy how the vault experiments they brought up at the meeting isn't just topical but they're actually in the games. This show is a masterpiece!
I love how a single ghoul can take out multiple armored knights and armed squires by himself. It's almost as if the brotherhood are a bunch of idiots.

The cadence, the expressions, the hand movements, the hair, ugh
People seem to often overlook that Moldaver is doing everything out of spite to Vault-Tech with only a little bit of love to Rose.
Yea it is
So uh... if Moldaver was a good person all along who just wanted to bring infinite energy to the wasteland... why exactly did she bring raiders into Vault 33 and left them there to massacre the innocent vault dwellers when all she was there for was grabbing Hank alive? A goal which she greatly jeopardized by bringing raiders who're likely to just randomly kill him because killing everyone they run into is what they do.
Because she was a good person but she fell in the trap of blaming everyone associated with vault tec for the hardships on the surface, and she figured that the ends justified the means. Some casualties in one vault weighed against bringing energy, and a better chance at peace and survival, to an entire section of the wasteland. She probably told the raiders that they could kill anyone but Henry.
I don't think the show is trying to say She's a good person, only that her motive is noble, the whole point of the show is that no one in the wasteland is good
In my mind Fallout was one of the few adaptation of a video game to a film/series that was done right (another was The Last of Us).
That depends on what ending the show will go with as canon for NV.

Intro song went hard though
Please react to 12th fail movie....Make sure to include Rana Marketta Chris Sooraj Micky & Navi
