One of the things that I would like to see is how to save on laundry detergent which is very expensive. Not always I can buy it in bulk because more often than not my budget is very limited.
Hello mama baird I’m a new subbie and so happy I found your channel for more homemaking inspo❤ for frugal friday challenge, could you try to do a flour challenge where you show us how to maximize a big bag of flour (plus pantry staples).. like maybe turn some of it into bread, pancakes and even noodles? Idk hope you’re up for the challenge. All the best!❤
Great video hun. I am 62-year-old from PA. When shopping take the seat belt in the cart unlock put through your purse. Someone can't pick up while you busy looking at something . All the boxes of noodles or rice like you bought make two and anything such as smoked sausage or meatballs (small ones) anything just cook meat seperate and put all together. Makes delicious meal cheap.
I do the shopping cart seat belt thingy also. Another tip, if you are using a public restroom and you need to hang your purse on the stall door hook. Take and wrap the strap around the hook several times. Especially if it’s at a height where someone can reach over and grab it.
Oh my goodness, gracious, when you just said the town you live in, all I could think of was the fact that my uncle used to be the head basketball coach for the college in Missoula years ago, beautiful area, cannot wait to see what you are able to come up with for $20
I am absolutely running so much from you with the air fryer, I got one for Christmas, and I really haven’t used it much because I didn’t know what I could do in it, but now you’ve given me some inspiration and I can’t wait to try it out, thank you for your awesome videos, looking forward to everything that you do
@@mamabairds I remove it from the package and put it the vacuum sealer bags, but I will start doing it the way you did. 🙂 I don't know why I didnt think of it either. I do this with things like cereal bags or dehydrated scalloped potato packets when I put them into mylar bags with an oxygen absorber.
Very good deals! I make meatballs fairly regularly. I mix the pork and beef and I do soak the bread in milk. I make them “Swedish” style, so I add a healthy amount of ginger, nutmeg, and allspice to the mix. I fry them and make a gravy out of the drippings. I add lingonberries to the gravy and I always serve lingonberry preserves with the meatballs. I serve with mashed potatoes.
I like having just a generic meatball too. It gives me options. Great shopping experience. I caught you on a replay. Don’t get lives too often but I always make sure I catch up with you. Wonderful job. Love 💕 and Hugs. 💙💙💙
I also started putting dates on front and top of product with a sharpie. Makes organizing pantry sooo much easier. Newly bought items dont always having a longer shelf life than previous purchases, especially it they are on a good sale.
In New York we have sales tax but not on food ... So the price it states is what we pay ... Thankfully... Because we're taxed like crazy for everything else.
Anytime I'm given ground pork from the pantry I will freeze it and when I do use it I make pork fried rice with it. Versus having to use pork chops for it. And I'll use it for making egg rolls or meatloaf. If I do a meatloaf with it I'll mix in canned veggies and sweet BBQ sauce.. it's just me now so I still make a big batch but I'll freeze a bunch. Because a pound makes a lot.... I miss my air fryer. It completely fell apart. Being out of work with no income I can't get a new one.
Loved the Chinese buffet- did not think about meatballs in the air fryer (new toy for me)…. Church meatballs- about 18-24 cooked meatballs in a crock pot with a cup of catsup and a cup of grape jelly (trust me), and a squirt of mustard. Heat up in a small sauce pan until jelly is melted. Add dry onions (2tbls)… pour over cooked meatballs and let simmer 1-2 hours on medium heat. Kids will love these / great after school snack!
Hi Mama B.!!! No we dont have that grocery store in Northeast OHIO...You got some good stuff for the 20 dollars. Good shopping. I am a older woman who hates to grocery shop. My Daughter does it for me. I like that!!!My dear husband ♡ was the one who shopped after he retired. Anyways... I like the tip of putting the expiration dates on things. I put dates when I open bigger items such as my powder creamer from Sams Club, Dish soap..etc...just to see how long they last.I have a vacuum sealer but havent used it yet. I only cook for me now and my 2 big doggies!!!...yes I make them food...I think I would rather have meatballs like you made them. Im not much for any frozen prepaired meals. Thanks for showing us what all you got... Your meat-balls look super yummy...Nice Video!!!...🦋
I took a dried onion container about half the size of your Parmesan container. I made cinnamon sugar to put in it. I like cinnamon toast sometimes. I like that it has the big holes.
I was born raised in NYC so was shocked with food tax here in nc, where we live we have crazy tax on others. Love frugal Friday! So fun! You remind me of me with the discount meat, food items! I got excited! This is great video! I'm fighting off Covid, kidney infection , pretty sick , but watching your great videos!!♥️♥️🥰🥰
I love your channel. I live in So. CA and I am shocked at how low your food prices are. Here we are paying $5.99-$6.99 a pound for 80/20 ground beef. Your prices there were pre-Biden prices for us.
I like to make extra to freeze for later. You can heat them in gravy later or sauce. I like to use onion soup mix in the mix for a beefier flavor. You did great one the shopping.
After seeing the price of the ground beef and ground pork, it might be worth my time and gas to drive from Missoula to Stevensville. I want to can up some mire ground beef for my pantry. I have lots of empty pint jars after eating from my pantry during the winter.
I was there around 8:45 am and that's when he was marking down all the meats! It was the perfect time! I wish I could have gotten that pot roast that was $10 off
o girl disposable gloves !!! lol i use walmarts meatballs in freezer section. they are really good. i make my own sauce with a little brown sugar, soy sauce, ketchup, chopped onions, black pepper ,apple cider vinegar . all ingredients to your taste. i cook them in crock pot with some water until heated. soooo goood. i use that sauce for baked beans and pulled pork also.
You got a lot for $20 . Your grocery stores out there are much cheaper than we have in NY . I didn’t get the grocery store that you were shopping at though .
I'm a part of a cooking group on Facebook "cooking on a semi". They have some great ideas if his truck is big enough! It adds up eating out on the road all the time.

You got a lot for $20!! Nice store, reminds me of Winco. I'm lovin' the ''Frugal Friday" thing, hope you continue it.
I will be continuing the Frugal Fridays! I'm really enjoying them!
Yeah, their shelf price tags look just like Winco.

I like how you vacuum sealed the meat in the original packaging. 👍🏻

Boiling water is a great cleaner, great for loosening greasy gunk on pots and pans or kitchen surfaces, but you have to be careful of course.
Thanks for sharing!
Can't go wrong with smoked sausage with cabbage and onions.
You got that right!
Add cooked egg noodles and you have halusky, poor man polish meal
Great deal on the ground meat. I would make the pork and beef into a meatloaf. 😊

So true, and the price alone on food is insane.
Same here in MD. Some snacks and convenience foods are taxed

Hey Carolina! I really would love for you to do a frugal Friday low carb video. I’m in desperate need of some cheap low carb recipes ❤
Great suggestion!
I love ur wrapping idea. That's how I'm gonna start doing it 😁
I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier!
I wish some frugalist would make a vid on how to use food items you can buy with food stamps to make non-food necessities!

Great deals on the meat.
