If you are a woman, your husband's brother's wife is your "elti"
Your sister's husband is your "enişte"
Your husband's sister is "görümce" and his brother is your "kayın birader"
And you are "yenge" to your husband's nephew and niece
If you are a man your wife's sister's husband is your "bacanak"
Your brother's wife is your yenge
Your wife's brother is your "kayınço" and her sister is your "baldız"
And also your "enişte" to your wife's nephew and niece
Enişte and yenge things are same it is up to your siblings gender
thanks for this! I have a question- is my brother/cousin's wife also my "yenge" if I am a woman?
@@rukayatchowdhury7594 yes.
@@rukayatchowdhury7594 as i know there is not specific names for cousins spouses. I ve never heard
Thank you for this. I was wondering what in-laws are called too
@OKeveryone Thank you, that is helpful. I will add those words to my list
Interesting fact: The words "Kızım" (my daughter) and "Oğlum" (my son) are very commonly used for the people who are not actually your daughter or your son. Using these words for your friends or just a random person is normal, but not so nice if you're not so close with that person. You definetely cannot use these words for someone who is older than you. Just saying, in case you hear someone calling their friend "my son" and get confused lol
As a Malaysian, I can relate to this since we call people who are not our family like that too. Like the lady at the market can call me daughter or I can call the man selling banana uncle haha basically we Asians are like this. We are all one big family lol
i thought this channel was for entertainment and reacting other videos but it seems to be a turkish language learning channel :D
It was firstly made for language but it's for both culture/fun/language
I know all of these already 😂😂 by watching turkish dramas with subtitles 😘
Me too.....I have learnt Turkish language a lot by Watching Turkish series with subtitles..😂😂

I knew almost all of them by watching Turkish dramas😂
But 'Torun' and 'dayı' was new for me... 😊
Çok teşşekurler😍💕
You're welcome 😊
Bu video için teşekkür ederim...çok öğrendim..kolay gelsin :)
Ne kadar güzel hazırlanmış bir video 🪂🪂
We also say amca (amidja) in Bosnia :)
Baba is used for father in many languages i guess because it is also in urdu, Aunt is Khala in urdu, similar to Hala of turkish as KH sound isnt in Turkish, in urdu grandfather is dede also but accent is slightly different so it is more dada.
Actually real turkish version of Father is Ata in turkish
But hala in urdu means phuppo. And teyze is khala
@@guessimwhat8720 Oh yes like Ata turk is used for Mustafa kemal Pasha,.
@@awaisuyghur1475 Yes but like it is just interchanged, i mean they use it for paternal aunt we use it for maternal aunt, .
I'm not following. Can you explain

As always . Güzel
I like your reaction vidoes the most❤
Hi turkishle,
I'm from Pakistan. I recently saw a video from your channel in which you were reacting on Pakistani actresses. Your reactions were awesome but unfortunately you missed so many of our most beautiful and famous actresses. I request you to make a part 2 of that video and include the following actresses (Ayeza khan, Alizeh shah, Aiman khan, Hania amir, Sarah khan, Naimal khawar, Urwa hocane, Sana Javed)
I will be very grateful if you would heed towards my request.
Regards
and zara noor abbas!
Thank you.
From Portugal 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹
Very helpful
❤i love your channel pls continue
Glad you liked it! 🤗
That's so interesting and very easy to memorize
Really informative about turkish laNguage👍
Great 👍
Thank you oh noo tesekkur ederim🌚🥂
I love this channel there is everything on this channel 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 from Pakistan 🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
Thank yiu for tgis video.. You can also make a video on in-laws relationship.
In Pakistan we say:
Father_Baba
Mother_Ammi
Grandma_Dadi and mother's side Nani
Grandpa_Dada and mother's side Nana
Brother_Bahi
Sister_Baji
Mother's Sister_Khala
Father's Sister_Phupho
Mother's Brother_Mamu
Father's brother_Taya for older and chacha for younger
Niece_Bhanji or Bhateji
Nephew_Bhanji or Bhateji
In rural areas of Turkey, sister is also called the same as "bacı" which kinda seems similar to "baji" I guess. Also again I guess in old Turkish, the father's sister is called as "bibi which is I believe derived from Farsi
But It's interesting to see that you're calling Mother's sister "khala" while we call father's sister "hall"
Nice work alba
I love Turkey❤❤🇹🇷 from Malaysia🇲🇾

Zabardast .. çok güzel. . Keep it up Bacī.. when do you use Emmi ? And what about Sister in Law and all il-laws.10 viewer ..
@Feyza aaah .. thanks a lot for your reply . . .it makes sense now .
@Feyza oh .. same is with Urduçe ... I mean our language also has many words many inlaws but obviously these are different .
We dont use words like ‘bacı,emmi’ they are mostly used in rural areas and villages. We use ‘amca’ for emmi and ‘abla’ for bacı
@@definitelynotacheater we Pakistanis use baci .. we write in in Arabic text and in Roman as Baji . It means Abla
@Habib ur Rehman It is ‘bacı’ in Turkish pronunciation differs a bit I think but in normal (Istanbul) Turkish most people use ‘abla’ but if you use ‘bacı’ people will understand it as well
görümce, elti, bacanak, enişte, yenge...
Ben türk olmama rağmen neden burdayım
In Bangladesh 🇧🇩 we also say
Baba to BABA❤️👨👧❤️
