Android gives us so much choices that is hard to stick just with i phones, especially Samsung galaxy phones, that's one of the reasons why I went back from i phone to android, because I got bored of using an i phone to be honest, android phones give us so much freedom and that is why you feel that way. Don't worry Travis you'll be back to android more sooner than later bro.

    3. Iphone 6 had only 4 major updates; you can verify on Gsmarena site
    4. Google (with Pixel) and OnePlus do 3 major updates, so just one less than Apple.
    5. Pixel 4a will cost 400 $ and will have 3 guaranteed major updates
    6. Iphone SE 2020 - just one more major update than Pixel 4a. The huge disadvantage of IPhone 2020 : ridiculous 4.7", LCD display with very large bezzels...

That is very unlikely to happen. Not everyone likes the bigger boxier design of the Note-Series. Some people love the more rounded, slim design of the S-Series. Plus, Samsung takes the response from the S-Series and if their is any problems they will perfect it on the Note-Series.

The S series sells more than the Note series by a lot. Why force an S Pen on people that don't care about or want one? The S series in the average consumer phone and the Note is more for tech geeks and creatives. If anything it's the Note series is the one that should be scrapped. Either the Galaxy Fold with S Pen support or the S series with optional S Pen should replace it

I just got my first iPad and have a Galaxy S9, on the fence about switching to iPhone as well. I love my iPad; iOs seems very smooth, easy to download apps in the app store vs Google Play, it is seems faster than Android. But I have been a Samsung User since the S5 and I love One UI 2.0 on my S9, I use Samsung Pay very often, I have a Gear Smartwatch and I have a Samsung Wireless charger. Oh and then the schedule text message feature on Samsung phones is something I use a lot. Where Samsung disappoints for me is the software updates will be less and less on my S9 very soon and the fact that my battery drains on my phone very quick even while it is sitting vs my iPad. My iPad will be my test over the next few months to see if Apple is worth it for me to jump and get an iPhone too.

I am about to change to iOS this year when the 12 Pro Max comes out. Never owned an iphone, so I am preparing myself for some things I am about to miss, but I've used so many upper end Android devices, I am bored. My last 2 samsungs, Note 8 and now 9, are great but getting extremely tired of the bloatware and esp BIXBY. They added more of that crap this last update and it's collecting data all the time, I can't disable permissions on them, nor uninstall!

You have to buy all Apple products to get this seamless file transfer. I don't need to bother. If I want to transfer files I can use either WiFi direct or a USB flash drive. Your argument to the previous poster was that they should use airdrop to transfer files between the iPhone and PC. But you assumed that their PC was a Mac. The most popular desktop OS in the world is still Windows by a long shot. Are you honestly arguing that someone who has an iPhone and a Windows PC should now have to go and buy a Mac or iPad as well, just to get seamless file transfer? My point is Apple products have terrible cross compatibility. Android, Windows and Linux do not. As to practicality, I would argue that an operating system which doesn't allow simple cross compatibility with other operating systems is not practical at all. In fact it's a severe limitation. As to having to install a specific program to do file transfer, it's no more of a hardship for someone than installing any other program or app. If you're used to PCs you will be used to installing software, it's something we've been doing for decades.

Split multitasking screen is a must for me. I use public transport a lot and I'm not always lucky to grab a seat 😂 so I can only use one hand with my phone. The one handed mode (reachability mode) on the iPhone is a joke. Keyboard with numbers at the top is very handy. Headphone jack on my Note 9 YEEEES!!! and camera setting on the camera app.

I use Samsung pay where ever I can because I know that it's more secure than swiping a card. I even use it at gas station with those old terminals too; I just have to use the fake card trick. It especially good for the gas stations where scammers can mess with those gas station terminals where they install those devices to steal your credit card information. There are only a few times I can't use Samsung pay and those are either at sit down restaurants or their POS terminals have issues but I would say 95% of the time I have no issue with Samsung pay.

I've tried many phones, I'm talking 130+. I've been in Travis' shoes where I wanted to try out the simplicity of iPhone and used 11pro for 4 months. I felt restrained and got bored really quickly so I gave my sister my iPhone and went back to enjoying the choices. I'm a MacBook user, but not into iPhones. Here are my nitpick reasons why I prefer Android:
    1. Scheduling texts on Samsung messenger.
    2. Swiping to call/text on contact names.
    3. Easily manipulating alarms.
    4. Drag and dropping files.
    5. Changing my ringtones easily and free.
    6. Always on display.
    7. Maps and RUclips multitasking mini windows.
    8. Toggling WiFi, Bluetooth and location switches with ease. I think after iOS 11 or 12 you can't turn those off through shortcut panel anymore. So much for privacy control.
    9. Casting screens on smart TVs and casting devices. iPhones only let you do this through Apple TV.
    10. Better reception on any network with almost any Android than iPhones.
    11. Faster depreciation = you can have 2 if not 3 Android devices for the price of 1 iPhone after a year. Of course, on the downside this means your Androids won't resell as high.

My ultimate phone / mix of features: latest Note series that can run cross platform imessage. The vast majority of my friends (in the US) are iPhone users. Nearly impossible to get US peeps to switch to say, whatsapp or something like that. My non US friends are all whatsapp for communication. I also think the large majority only use their phone for Social Media, Email, texting. Almost zero reason for them to have any kind of a flag ship. I use my phone for work and personal. Hands down the Note is a work beast. I use it to its full potential Dex, Bixby, scheduled text, sign documents, multi task, cloud access and distribution (I could go on and on). Personal phone is a S20 Ultra and I also use it to fullest potential. I really enjoy for gaming, photos, Bixby routines, Google Assistant, customizing, video, music consumption and on and on. I've always been a back and forth. Still have IPad pro and MacBook. I can see my next personal being an iPhone 12 or 13 series (maybe). I don't see my work device being anything other than a Note or maybe a fold (we will see). Really enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work.

    - iOS (because security and updates)
    - touch ID (Korona screwed face ID to the dark ages)
    - a true file system with USB storage function
    - widgets, home screen customization and App drawer

  • @zski1

Man, I'm glad I found you on youtube because I'm struggling with the same decisions. I am currently using an iPhone 11 pro max and I enjoy it, but I've also used many Samsung flag ships, including the Note 10+ and I loved that phone, but then I went back to iOS once I experienced issues with certain apps. that I didn't have issues with iOS and other Android software issues that you don't get with iOS like clearing cache, clearing data, clearing partition, manually putting apps. to sleep, etc.... However, I'm bored with iOS because Apple just won't give us common sense features like Android has. For example, on iOS, there's no extra volume sliders for notifications, alarms, etc..There's no always on display, but on the Apple watch there is. The notification center still is not good compared to Android; I miss notifications all the time unless I manually keep swiping up on the lock screen. The features we do get are stupid animoji's and emjoi's, maybe some AR features that basically no one really uses, and maybe one or two OK features. I feel Android and Google really give you plenty of features that people actually use on a day to day. But the biggest issue of switching to Android is Apple's locked-tight eco-system. So many people have iphones which makes the experience of owning an iPhone that much easier. The way iPhone integrates with a Mac., apple TV, ipad, homepod, etc.. is seamless and just works. Also, you can find more accessories for iphones everywhere. And there's the psychological issue of not owning an iPhone when it's slammed down our throats with movies, commercials, society....

and there's so many more things samsung phones do be too much to list.samsung pay is a big deal for most people.both are very different but ios same boring look for 10 years.
Samsung one ui 2.1 is game changer for 2020... YES updates are late especially os ones but samsung updates when they come are like 2 years of features for most so
the wait is NO big deal cause i usually wait to install it cause it takes time for developers of apps to update. So big fuss about updates is no big deal for me.

The reason why I went to android was uploading anime to my phone and watching it on my break when working for ...of all people Apple Technical support. I had to use iTunes alternative to get file types uploaded to my 3GS that Apple did mot support or convert them to quicktime. That was a pain so when i had my Droid X it was no problem watching .mkv or.avi files. Plus the screen was bigger. Yeah I still have problems getting my phone to handshake with my PC and I'm not resetting my iPhone anymore to make it happen. I just upload to my Google drive. 3:26 I have Exynos S10+, but I don't care for this. A pitch black wallpaper just works for me.
4:43 I grow to appreciate this when I have to put documents to the correct folder, and when I have to put modded game files.

Thanks for the vid. Perfect phone? Boy...... Oneplus OS fluidity + pixel camera computation software + LG audio DAC and MIL-STD + Apple integrated connectivity thru devices and battery optimization + Samsung customizations and theming + ROG phone II for front facing speakers and game mode. All at TCL's competitive pricing. I think that covers it.

I can relate to this immensely. I've had android since the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G and currently have a Galaxy S10+ and I just bought a iPhone 11 from Amazon Renewed (Thanks Travis!). There are a lot of pros for iOS that I like but the one thing I am missing the MOST right now is the "clear all" button. I am also missing things like Samsung Pay, picture in picture and widgets. I miss my Spotify widget so much. I was spoiled by not having to open the app to play music, i could just press play on the widget and be on my way.
Now thats not to say I dont like iOS because I do. I love how much better apps work (Instagram omg) and i FINALLY understand why people hype up imessage cause it's pretty dope. I also love how fast the animations are and overall iOS just seems polished. I'll be switching between both phones but there is a possibility that I buy one of the iPhone 12's when they come out.

Here is my perfect phone, I would really like:
    Apple iPhone:
    1. Put super AMOLED screen on all phones, enough with the LCDs! I want to see the screen in sunny days! Equalent screen of the S20s or at least the Note 9's level ?
    2. USB-C. I got plenty of USB-C cables and I can finally get rid of all the lighting port stuff!
    3. Make all apps rotate to landscape mode. (Apple has their own apps that will not rotate! , this is an easy fix, come on! )
    4. Fingerprint reader either under the screen or on the back. Sometimes face ID sucks or I just want to unlock it without lifting it to my face!
    5. Please let us have widgets and let me place my app icons where I want them ! This is so stupid from Apple, still restricting to move the Apps to the bottom of the screen so I could reach them with one hand! Who TF won't let this happen in Apple's engineering HQ? Jailbroken iphones have it, so it's not even something new, if some hackers are able to remove this restriction!
    6. Let me make Google Maps my default app (will never happen)
    7. Let Huawei sell their phones in the US and let them have Google services already. I know it would knock Samsung down a few notches and Apple would have less customers. Their phones are high quality with amazing cameras.
