it's my birthday!! 🥳 5th Feb! and its a big birthday too!! last day of my 30's today, as i'm typing this on the 4th. tomorrow is the big 4-0!!! goodbye thirties, hello fourties.....
Strength card - “When you’re pushed to your limits, that’s how we get to know ourselves.” Good point, Gemma! You find out what you’re made of and what your true character is. A good way to know others, as well.❤
Omfg I love you Gemma! You’re a total unit! Lakeland catalogue therapy! 😂 thanks for being a spontaneous, refreshing and genuine RUclipsr! Big Love from New Zealand!
Lakeland catalog looks like a dream book. It's the kind you look at and fantasize about your perfect home where everything is organized, super fresh and shiny. So I was fascinated about Vamoose Kitchen cleaner. I had never seen it in America. I looked on Amazon. The company makes different types of rodent repellent for purchase here in the US,but not the kitchen cleaner. That's not an exhaustive search but I was disappointed. Vamoose kitchen cleaner sounded like something I needed. Autocorrect also kept correcting Vamoose to Vampire and I started wondering about what the brand Vampire Kitchen cleaner would smell like and how would I market it if that product existed. Would I embrace the obvious Gothic theme or would I pretend that the word Vampire in the name is incidental and has nothing whatsoever to do with the contents and abilities of the product.
Barkeeper’s friend is named that because the product is useful in the bar, not because the buyer is the friend of the barkeeeper. Here, the product called that is a scouring powder that is used for porcelain sinks or stainless steel pans and sinks, supposedly gentler than other powdered cleansers.
I had many thoughts and feelings watching Saltburn. Definitely something that lingers in your mind after seeing it. After contemplating for several days, I appreciate what is and the visceral response it gave me.
Thank you. It has been cold here, and though I spent an hour at the farmers market Saturday, I've been a bit lax on hiking. Doing a kitchen redo and clean out, so maybe the house cleaning can be worthwhile. Also busy with local forest activism and conservation friends again. I did order a new stainless steel commercial type counter/table and likely will just put the top on the existing wooden stand that I've been using. I adore stainless in a kitchen. Gleaming and easy to clean. Batch cooking yes, but still rotate and change it up with different seasonings. Made a huge batch of black beans from dry using pressure cooker multi-stage process and those are the basis of many excellent meals. That catalogue sounds so excellent. That film that shall not be named was so vile I couldn't watch it all. Quite a sad commentary that I didn't want to support, not being a prude, just not into that genre.
Lakeland is giving my flashbacks to my early Twenties when I worked at a kitchen gadget store called Lecthers which has long been out of business. It had a gadget for every possible kitchen operation. And these were mostly non electric and non battery operated. They sold other kitchen goods such as glassware, pans, linens, rugs, ect. It was a popular store for back to school / college shopping. Of course, there is the posh version of this called William Sonoma. They are doing just fine I am sure.
Hi Gemma, I have just downloaded the lakeland catalogue, will enjoy looking through that, like you thought about batch cook but no, it's got to be time saving hasn't it. I popped into my local oxfams today bought a string of pretty floral lights, and you'll never guess, there was a shelf with faith in nature products, now I have used faith in nature products a long time ago, they are a great company, in everyway, you reminded me Gemma about them, I bought their coconut body wash, it's nice weird, a bit like you Gemma had popped in and arranged the shelf with their products, I kid you not. It is great when you get good assistance in shops isn't it, and when they know what their talking about. And when they show such kindness, like the assistant did with you. Interesting reading,. Wishing everyone a BLESSED week ❤🙏
I love you're video's to bit! You just spent nearly 6 minutes talking about the Lakeland catalogue, & it was sooo charming & entertaining, never mind the readings I could listen to you talk about minutae like that all day! Thank you for making me smile
This reading really resonates. I actually haven’t been working at all and trying to figure out what to do and how to support myself. However I think I’m going to need a boost of inspiration and energy to get out of this rut.
im a big fan of that catelog my mom used to have all sorts of catelogs like that around that i would love to thumb through. i think we could all stand to have some optimization and spring cleaning in our lives this year. much love gemma big fan
hadnt been really active lately been working a lot and now i have a family to take care of as well. so nice to catch a reading. thanks for all the insight. wishing all well. take care my gemstars and my gemma. big love from kentucky i have missed yall
Loved the Lakeland catalog 😊 At least, your enthusiasm was contagious 🤩 Did you ever get the J Peterman catalog? My mom used to get it back in the day… and it may only be online now, but it’s awesome in a way I think you’d enjoy. It’s for clothes, and the garments are all drawn rather than photographed. Then each item has a kind of story and lavish description that totally captures the imagination. You should def look it up 🤓💖
I love that catalog! I have barkeepers friend. I had never heard of it before and was introduced to it on another cleaning RUclips video. Spring cleaning is needed in my house for sure! Looking forward to the longer, warmer days. Blessings to you and your kitties!❤
This felt like a spiritual big job reading to me. Makes perfect sense. Difficult times. I really want that large clothes drying rack from Lakeland! That would be so handy. I used to have a small one and I can’t find it. 😊 Thank you, Gemma! 💕💕
Hope you had a lovely weekend Gemma! 😄 Definitely itching and feeling restless and oddly pressed to make a big decision now but I know I need to be careful and thoughtful about it because it’ll impact many things in my life. So confusion is afoot 😓
Just started to go trugh my clothes closet...there is lot to do as lots of clothes and other things that you can't take to cold and dampsmelling cellar closet. So spring cleaning started. So have to storage everything at appartment of mine...something has to leave and now with rough hand and straight recycled to right trasch containers...someone take away. Of course things that can be recycled to somewhere I will.
Spring clean and closet decluttering. A bit stressful rn because I’m losing weight as a result of sticking to my resolutions! So idk if I should keep the older clothes I used to fit.
Lakeland sounds really nice. We dont have it here in Sweden though. This reading really resontes, particularly the part of doing what I love, putting out more than I am receiving and that it's too painful to stay the same. I have also pushed my buttons, a little too much which has gotten me into some anxiety. I don't kniw uf the decision I am going to make is big or not but I have to do it. Now while I am writting i realise that this reading fits two situations in my life. One love related and one carrier related. Thank you❤✨️🙏🏽🌸
I didn’t think it was as good as Talented Mr Ripley which you can see was loosely based on (same themes) But a recent watch I did love was Wonka. It’s such a lovely family movie! Can highly recommend - it is a musical though. The theatre kid in me adored it!
I saw a description of Lakeland years ago that said "Lakeland is a shop full of things you don't know you need until you see the catalogue". Great, though. Where else do you find those bits?
I liked the Lakelands catalogue, looks like all the things I never knew I wanted 😂 We're in reprieve between heat waves, I need to finish cleaning out some cupboards. I usually do a spring clean, but I got covid and terrible fatigue.Thank you 💖 from Australia xx
First in today. Saltburn was great. No kidding … maths face. Watched weekend read….. good info on manifestation. (About air fryers…. They blow up. Friends say…. As they recover…. )
Love the Lakeland catalogue! Is the Drain Wizard still in there? Never bought one but it looked both gross and amazing😂.Thanks Gemma, have a fab day there xx
I looooove Lakeland lol! Usually spend a fortune on gadgets I 'really' need.. 😂. Won't be watching Saltburn, the real UK named town is only a couple of miles from where I live & it's too 🤮 to associate them 😂.
Hi Gemma I dont know that store. But my equivalent is Kitchen Warehouse. Do you have that in UK? It is, as the name suggests, all about the kitchen, for eg I bought pantry organisers, cast iron frying pan and my air fryer there. I'm obsessed with the store and have been using my air frying daily since I bought it. The staff are very knowledgeable. I'm not sure if they have cleaning products. I wouldn't say I do batch cooking, but I do freeze half the food I cook. It's not super organised, just half the food in a container. Interesting reading today! Thanks!
Gem please I spend enough of my time already scrolling for household items! I love your Tarot readings thats why I am here! Not interested in the hotel over the road either. Just saying. Your tarot readings are so good. Thankyou everyday 😮
Love listening to your readings Gemma. You are quite accurate and I love your perspectives. Just find too much chat at the start sidelines the reading a bit.
I don't think many places in the states do catalogs anymore but I could be wrong. Amazon has taken up so much of the market share. Maybe Bed bath and Beyond but I don't know how they're fairing these days. Do you still have Argus over there? I was fascinated by it when I lived in Scotland in '99 ( also being referred to as the late 1900's by today's youth so that's fun.). Anyway, thank you Gemma! 💖
I find it interesting that the word “Tatoo” is misspelled on the shop sign. 🤔 I’m not going to watch Saltburn. I’ve seen a trailer, and I don’t think I could stomach it.
Even though I love Lakeland I always felt a bit inferior to the ladies shopping who obviously knew how to use every device for sale and had the cooking skills of Delia Smith and craft skills of Kirstie Allsopp combined which made me hastily retreat to the till with my 100% cotton tea towel 😢xx
Hated saltburn, despite the writer saying to the contrary, I found it to be a remake of the talented mr ripley which is a far more superior film. Just my opinion
Intrigued I was with your shirt and then found the movie explanation, wow I can only imagine how disgusting it must have been after reading the plot... I would need a good eye and brain washing... I have a wooden stand up rack that folds down also that we dry clothing on especially my handwash sweaters. It's really even too big for anywhere in my house now. I Dream of un Industrial kitchen that would have the room for that air stand dryer..😊
Today is my bday, big 35! 🎉🥰

Thank you, Gemma!! 😊 That store looks awesome! It’s always great when the employees are so knowledgeable and friendly.

Same here! It lingered with me too and I think you describe the response so well, Thank you 🙏
Same!
Started spring cleaning my house and decided to listen to your daily reading to keep my spirits up 😂 Perfectly timed!

Saltburn ohh definitely a film that lingers on your mind for a few hours after watching🫣. Thank you 💗
After hearing so many warnings but urgences to watch it, I tried but found it too slow so resorted to reading the plot on Wiki. I'm glad I did. Yeesh!
