@clarkelewiss1969 He played at Rupture a little while ago. Smashed it! He's been a don since the 90s......I got some of his early Hardcore tracks. He was on the breaks since then (showing my age!) Never heard this out. If I did, I'd be in the Zone rudie!
This is such an iconic Paradox piece for me. First time I ever heard this track was in a small DJ-specialist record store in SW England. I took one listen on the headphones and I was like "holy shit, did you guys know you have this absolute bomb on your shelves?", shoved it on their record player and made them play it on their main sound system. Myself, a couple of DJs in the store, plus two staff, were just bouncing around the shop to this! We bought the 3 copies the store had, and two of us went home with CD rips. About a month later at a club one of the DJs who were in the store dropped this mid-set and the crowd went nuts for it.
@@NoodleCollie have you heard Paradox's "A Certain Sound"??? That track is my personal Paradox favorite. Bought it as a white label before it was released on Renegade Hardware proper. 25 years later I'm still pickin up pieces of my blown apart mind! 8D
So....I'm here again in 2023, and this riddim is still being slept on? Appalling! Luckily, I saw Dev at the last Rupture, and he *smashed* it! Headz ain't ready for riddimz like this!
2nd comment: This is criminally under viewed. Real breakbeat science right here. I guess heads ain't ready. One of Dev's best workouts! That ride cymbal is lush!
I really really like this. I usually listen to 90 kinda rap, but something about the sound selection here really reminds me of some of that. Any recommendations for more stuff like this?
Paradox has made many amazing tracks, hes a real genius.. Maybe a bit of a modern type of Paradox's kind of sound.. Dgohn - Puppet, just came out.. Otherwise learn the labels Paradox was released on to find so many amazing tunes.
@Clarke Lewiss appreciate? Dude, i listened to early music of Todd Terry in the late 80s until UK Breakbeat started. And HE'S the one who brought up the word ' Drum And Bass ', not coined until Meat Beat Manifesto brought up Babylon. You born in the 90s? I bet...
just how i like my onions chopped!
Delicate layers sliced and diced brother 💜
Tears of happiness
This riddim is a thing of beauty.....that ride cymbal....my days!

Why has it taken me over 20 years to discover this gem. Sick drum programming. Ill have this played at my funeral.

I only discovered Paradox on RUclips in about 2017, and this is definitely my favourite out of any of the tracks I've found on here.
Hooly shit! That sounds so freaking awesome >: D Can totally believe that.. damn!
As a drummer, This song is so heavy dark.. absolutly love it!

Classic drumfunk from the master.
Greatest Paradox tune IMO

nearly 20 years later, and still one of my all time favorite drum funk cuts
James Brown, good god.
WAIT FOR IT ! HUT OO UH ALRIGHT
Fire drum and bass. The best is where it's like he's playing the drums through the drum machine.
Somehow this keeps growing and growing on me every time I hear it.
my dad playing the bass while me and my brother distroying mom's pots
some amazing pots if they can sound like that!
One of my favourite Dev releases - on Droppin' Science no less - and one of my most played 12"s.
why is paradox so perfect?
It's the hair... like sampson 👍
he doesn't try
that's the... paradox of his perfection :D
JUNGLE IS MASSIVE! HARDCORE WILL NEVER DIE!
This is DrumFunk but you are right it’s technically jungle
he kills it at the end, it gets real good

No.
imagine if this guy had to take a drug test for work
I'm in a Sams car normal tests wont be able to find the acid haha but the other things. Let us be happy that he dont have to do tests right
what is this rhythm I just can't understand
@clarkelewiss1969not DNB in the slightest 😂
@clarkelewiss1969also this is breakestra not James brown
@clarkelewiss1969 what is your problem, I am not even uncomfortable with music like this you idiot.
@clarkelewiss1969 tf did I do idek him 💀
@clarkelewiss1969 You were right about it sounding James brown ish so that’s my fault for taking it too literal, but it’s is not Clyde on the drums.
Too technical usual doses by paradox
The beat.
I don't get it...🤨
@Clarke Lewiss this is a year ago and I stand by on what I said: I don't get it...
@Clarke Lewiss I know drum and bass, jungle, neurofunk, happy hardcore, dark step, and so on...
It's this I don't get.. chill out
@Clarke Lewiss appreciate?

@Clarke Lewiss the beat, dude? In the beginning it was ok... until it messed up one minute later... That's what I meant..
@Clarke Lewiss I love drum and bass since uk breakbeat and I hope ' Hardcore would never die'...
Got a bit of a danny breaks sound to it
There on the same label actually lol
