    You don't need a morning coffee, or any form of caffeine if you own a Viper. The moment you start driving, they wake you the F up and make you pay attention. I think I would recommend a Viper to anyone that likes to take risks and be on the edge. big NA torque is such a different experience to forced induction torque though. People who supercharge or turbo their Viper must be nuts 😂

      As a gen3 viper owner (with only 500hp) I can agree with this statement. The gen5 like the one in this video has an additional 140hp, and I know from experience that you can feel every single one of those ponies.

    The viper never gets old because it is a classic hot rod formula. Take the biggest naturally aspirated engine you got and send it to the widest rear tires you got with the heaviest duty manual transmission. Side pipes should be standard on all performance cars for that stereo rumble exhaust sound. You cannot argue with the track times. This is the kind of car that takes your whole life to master.

    OMG. I REALLY enjoy this video. What a beast and you were man enough to share that it was too much for you on those roads. I used to crave one since I was a kid and back in 2014 test drove one - it's like meeting your hero and realizing it was cool in concept but not someone you want to hang out with. We will never see a car like this again.

    To reassure some big boys. I’m 6’1 198lbs size 12 and have had the pleasure to drive a gen 5 I can say I fit well. I didn’t push it to any standard or even attempt heel or toe but I can say I didn’t feel too big for it. God is this a scary car
    Edit: also to note I was wearing a helmet so I’m pretty confident 6’1-6’4 you are still fitting 💪

      @Mike-qq8iy Год назад +1

      I’m 6’2” 220 and sat in one recently and didn’t fit at all.
      I think there was almost enough room for my head but it didn’t matter because the top of the windshield was so much lower so I couldn’t see out of it at all. Had to hunch over a lot and lean the seat back more than I’d like to drive it.
      But they do make a kit to lower the seat 2-2.5” which I think would be enough for me.
      A bucket seat should improve that even more.

    2 vents is the “GTS hood”, however, one could option the GTS cars with the much better looking 6 vent hood too. So, it’s definitely not a fool proof way of telling if you’re looking at a SRT vs GTS.
    My Viper is a 2015 DODGE (not SRT 😉) GTS with every single factory option. The 15+ cars are generally more sought after, less issues, after performance via larger throttle bodies, better oil breather, just all around had the kinks worked out.

Off-roading I left it in 4 lo gear in 2nd all day long lol. For me the best parts were the shifter feel (like loading a shotgun), the seating position/where you are sat in relation to the car and how On/Off switch like the engine felt (probably a terrible throttle calibration). The C6 Z06 I drove that same night felt far superior as a driving tool.
