Where’d you source the national pipe to national hose adapter? Cool video. I recommend a tank to pump recirculation valve those in case pump is left running but not flowing so you won’t smoke your pump.
Im not trying to rain on your parade but I wouldn't trust pvc fittings in a pinch. They could crack and there goes your water pressure.Aluminum ,or steel fittings would be my preference..and of course they could crack also on rough logging roads. For home use its a good setup.
I’m building one right now to go in my F-350 service truck. I snagged a used Honda wb20xt 2” pump from a pawn shop for $150 with 1.5” camlock stuff already on it that I can reconfigure for wildland hose hookups. I have a good steel reel with 3/4” heavy duty agricultural hose on it already (leftover from a previous landscaping project) that I will mount on the skid. I can get a clean IBC for $100 in the next town over. I love everything about this idea, except gluing the pump fittings solid like that. It seems like it would make future pump maintenance/repair a huge pain, and risk damage from vibration. I got a piece of 700 psi rated 2” ID reinforced acrylic hose that I’ll put a short section (6” or so) inline with the pump intake to eliminate this issue. Thank you for making the video!
You prolly dont give a damn but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me!
@Damian Zachariah thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Great job but you should mention in your video that this set up has no provision within the pump to bypass the water should you decide to momentarily stop the water flow. The pump will be easily damaged with any restrictions in the line such as a shutoff
Thanks for this encouragement. I've looked at the QTAC fire skids which are around $5000 or more. I'd sure like to find a way to haul this on my sub-compact tractor with the tank on the back 3 point hitch and the pump and hose on the front loader (to balance out all the weight). Don't have a truck or side by side 4X4 so the tractor is it. Any suggestions are appreciated.
@@CircoInnovationsInc I just purchased a 275 gallon IBC water tote for $50 - delivered. Looking now at pumps. I have been recommended to look at the Champion 2 inch semi trash pumps. Good quality and not too pricey. On Amazon for about $254.63 www.amazon.com/Champion-2-Inch-Gas-Powered-Semi-Trash-Transfer/dp/B00C2VF7K8?pd_rd_w=5waJD&pf_rd_p=43ea9b7e-4160-4f68-b311-3810df065596&pf_rd_r=MWCVCFQPBE8XP5DGV3TT&pd_rd_r=7463a297-afe9-49ba-b93b-fc30b7dc57de&pd_rd_wg=2icJT
What did you use for the “rails” are those metal studs? Great vid, this project has been in the back of my mind for a bit and now I’m gonna get to going.
The pump is made to be removed easily, moved to the water source and then the water can be pumped back into the tank with a discharge hose. We set up our suction hose so it can attach to the cam-lock on the intake of the pump.
None complicated set up. Love it. Thank you
Absolutely craftsman you gentlemen did ah great job
Thanks Keep it simple & stupid. And it works every time. Nice 😊
Great Video guys, really appreciate the knowledge, Looking forward to trying this out !!

Solid rig- only thing that I would like to see is a way to use the mounted pump to be able to draft and refill the tote

Yes they are. Thank you.
💪👍
I wanna install caster wheels on ibc tote give me a support which power tools should i use please reply to this !
Would this also work with a garden hose?
Yes it could, with a reducer.
Build me one for a F250 FX4 ?
Not with a 1/2 ton 5.5ft bed with a toolbox 🤦♂️ good way to do a wheelie
whats the range
50 to 60 feet. But that can be changed by the type of nozzle you use.
No way to draft from a water source ???????
