In this video we crack the triplets problem. It is very common for professional and amateur musicians not to do a proper triplet. Triplet is a concept that needs to be imprinted in the brain of a musician. When we do a triplet, we switch our binary mode into a ternary one by, on the fly, dividing a beat in 3 instead of 2. We consider that switching in this video trying to solve the common problems that triplets cause.
We are not working on quarter note or 16th notes triplets in this case, we will deal with that in future videos.

Honestly, the way I see them is like a diddle. If the sixteenth note are on the first beat, just think of it like a diddle on the first stroke. Once you look at it like that, they will become easy, and then you could straight stick it if you want. That's just me tho.

As a novice drummer, I tap to the 4 beat pulse counting, “1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and” while doing my best to ignore all the other clicks and sounds.
This helps me to stay focused on a standard 4 beat pulse without drifting around bc of other instruments or vocals playing simultaneously, something I struggle with especially when vocals or other instruments are syncopated. 🙂

Great video. Though I believe you should have the counting notated under the stave for beginners.
    Something like
    1 2 3 & 4
    1&uh 2&uh 3 & 4
Whatever the particular phrase. Learning how to count the beats aloud is essential for beginners as opposed to just hearing the click.
That's my only suggestion, otherwise, spot-on tool for learning site reading 👍

This is pretty good. I used this to improve my sight reading. It may be a bit difficult for someone who’s not a beginner but yeah, I enjoyed this. Edit: I did mess up some spots, but not until later into the video.

this is cuz u asked not cuz im tootin my horn by anymeans
but i have played bass guitar for 7 years and finishes my first year in university, and cant say i have mastered triplets, however, I was able to get through all of these the first time on 1.5x until the tenth where i messed up but corrected it the second try,
but i did find it a lot of fun and would love to try more that go to even higher difficulties
