- I'm jonzen to get out and forgot that I never edited my prior trip on the salt to end the 2019 season and now with the COVID pandemic occurring
Headed north of San Simeon into Big Sur at the end of the 2019 Central Coast Rockfish season and we had high hopes for another epic day targeting jumbo rockfish and big lingcod right here on the Central Coast. We were able to dodge a couple of waves and paddled out to some deep water on our fishing kayaks and fill the tanks with heavy vermillion rockfish and caught and released a bunch of Lingcod.
Great way to spend the day.
Easy limit and back to shore just after lunchtime.

Wow. Beautiful rockfish and nice monster ling. My favorite fish. Welcome back. Stay safe. Tight line.

Nice.
Thanks
I want to go with you guys lol
Nice. I swear the governor needs to let us on kayaks go out and fish. We keep social distancing lol. I can't wait !!!!!!
Agreed, but the problem is folks drive 4 plus hours from home to fish and potentially brings things into an area that so far has had little issues with covid.
@@CckfNet True, True. I can keep dreaming. I swear I think my Kayak is waking me at night screaming take me out.
Good Eats There!
damn double on every drop..

It was a pretty awesome day
I wish I could get out there❗️😳 Getting “cabin fever” up here. Sad I’m only 15 miles away from Tamales/Bodega but they’ve been closed to residents only. I miss the days of jumping on the 126 out to Ventura/Oxnard then anywhere down the coast to Paradise Cove/Malibu. I’ve yet to christen my new 2020 Outback in the salt. There are a couple small coves just north that are known to the “regulars” out here that are known for quality reds and lings. I already stocked up on BIG hammers from the local shop along with some red 1.5-2 oz swimbait heads to fish them on plus some 6oz bullet lead heads and 8” grub tails!
Hopefully this whole thing ends soon and we can get back to normal. Think everyone is getting some cabin fever
nice stringer, but how about that front lawn🍻
Haha, thanks man
Heck yea that was DOPE!
Fun day for sure, with lots of eats
Where did you launch from!
Whats a good rock rig if you dont have a kayak and fish from the cliff side? Also here on the central coast.
Hard to best high low rig
@@CckfNet thats my go to pretty much, but ive been interested in trying some swim baits that could work but also not looking forward to snagging and losing them on the rocks 😅
