@DOCTOR.RYAN..
In downtown Kampala, in Uganda, in Africa, I meet my friend Gamer, and I follow him to see how he manages to earn money to pay for his studies.
As I previously told him that I would like to try eating grasshoppers, Gamer bought some for me, and we enjoy this famous Ugandan delicacy together. For me, it's the first time I eat insects, and I actually find it very good.
As I meet several of Gamer's customers, I slowly discover that many Sudanese people fled from the war in Sudan, and now live in Uganda, hoping to be able, one day, to go back to their homes in Sudan.

Gamer busy hustling for a better life but still manages to give money to the street beggar.. God bless you Gamer💯
This humbled me, Allah akbar
@Yves all this street food😂😂😂 your stomach must be strong, and your farts nuclear bombs😂😂😂😂😂
#Weganda
Thinking the same 😂😂😂😂😂
You two are an awesome duo. I love the optimism. Gamer has a good heart
Mahn, I like that guy a lot. He's a godd friend and always so joyful. Love from Kenya Brother💕💕
Gamer the Ghanaian! So funny.😂 He's a legend. Such a nice man. Loved the market and the entrepreneurship of the people. Everyone seems to be walking with intent. I especially appreciate this video as it shows the intercultural aspects in Africa. Sudanese and Ugandans. The balcony styled shops are everywhere. And theres nothing like a good chay after a walk in the market!! Thanks Yves for the humour and the good energy!
When Kenyans think of travelling by road to a neighboring country, Uganda usually comes first. Its like a central point for so many East Africans for business, education, lifestyle (especially party animals). Plenty of good memories from the pearl of Africa.
Well said n put
I was amazed when I was in Kampala and visited one forex bureau. I found that I could exchange almost every money type from Africa. Kampala is a crazy place to be
You’ve become the sound and sights of my Saturday mornings. Merci beaucoup for what you do!
People abusing Uganda here especially Kampala being ugly, but it has provided hope for Gamer and is free to move with Uganda hosting the largest migrants in Africa, number 3 worldwide, appreciate Uganda for welcoming Sudanese all the way from Khartoum not bordering Uganda even.
In fact, I am amazed by the energy in the streets of Kampala. So many busy people, plenty of products to sell everywhere... It is nice.
I'm amazed of the trash everywhere
About 80% of Kampala City 🇺🇬 is clean and generally well organized. But most RUclipsrs obviously prefer to show the chaotic and dirty downtown areas😏 WHY ??🤔Because that's what attracts viewers and views 😊🤭
I love Ugandans are so friendly and hospitality you can't get bored.God bless Uganda with a good president
Wow welcome here in Uganda 🇺🇬the pearl of Africa 🌍 watching from Kampala 🎉😊
I didn't see any oysters.
#Weganda beat kenya
I think Kampala is the most developed city in east and central africa in terms of entrepreneurs.
Love from Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪
the biggest lesson I have learnt is, I can eat anything that another human being eats. This shows humans are indeed one irrespective of race, tribe, ethnicity, religion etc.
The food anyone of us eats and enjoys comes through habit and environment. Our palettes (sense of taste) respond to what we are used to (habit/environment) or what our brain either decides to eat😊
This darfur guy is very humble and wise ❤
Omg, you are eating grasshoppers, brings back memories.
I used to catch them around lamp posts, put them in bottles and fry them with salt and chilli powder.
I am talking about 50 years ago before I left Uganda.
I enjoyed watching it. Specially how you have dedicated a whole episode into gamer’s life and side/main hustle. I enjoyed his personality and dedication.
Another lovely video, have a good one Yves and safe travels - Rik
Gamer has a great heart and attitude in life..
.VIVE OUGANDA..BRAVO
"So we are eating random insects" 😂😂Love Gamer always on high spirits.
Museveni even has free rappers on the streets,i thought the media says he is hated ❤😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Let the media alone 😂😂😂
I was wondering....!!.😂.....even with our zakayo, you won't miss a madman supporting him.
😂😂😂
Ooooh c’est Gamer!! Tellement une belle énergie ce mec👍🏼
Beautiful content as always! 🎉 loved watching Gamer’s hustling.
'I love grasshoppers ' 🤣🤣🤣 kino loves everything 🤣🤣
every time kino eats something new, I think maybe this time he won’t like it , too bad, whatever he eats he always likes it 😉
@@jlalexander11
He didn't like much the Ethiopian food, because of no pork.
It was njrera he said he had an upset tummy.
You have much to learn grasshopper
You embrace all cultures in such amazing ways. It is true freedom! So inspiring ♥
Looking for that perfume customer makes this episode joyful to watch. The grasshopper, bird & flag narrative is exceptionally great! This doesnt change the fact that downtown Kampala looks dirty, unorganized and chaotic yet lovely to its dwellers! Sisi Wakenya tunataka kuona hizo Big Nyash kwa hizi video😂😂😂
It's busier than Nairobi
As u can see how street traders doing it illegally but they force their way out. In that situation they liter everywhere.
It would have been looking clean if there were no street vendors, but it's good that people have that opportunity to sell their goods, the chaos is inevitable and also cleaners do it once in the night as you know Kampala is 24/7

Did you forget how kikomba market is also filthy and dirty
Not different from River Road, Country Bus, Murang'a Road, Kariokor. Nairobi is equally chaotic.
@@felixmakinda7689 yes sure exactly
Kino, you are a man of the people! You may never leave central Africa at this point; they love you.
Gamer is a nice guy. I love how he hustle for himself and his generosity is top notch.
I like grasshoppers.
Down town kampala is huge and bussier than down town Nairobi
I think kampala is the bussiest city in East africa....i think so
Just explore and find for yourself.
Is that how all of kampala looks? It seems quite rundown and dirty. J hope there are cleaner more upscale areas.
@@kerubel1436that's down town Kampala boss.u shud have a mind to know that's just the business or CBD idnt know if u Kenyan Nairobi to has the dirty areas in CBD.
Down town kampala can not be compared to Nairobi. I am Ugandan and have been to Kenya a good number of times and I can not handle how busy some parts of Nairobi are especially Eastleigh (isiri)
@@kerubel1436nope, that's downtown Kampala. The heart of informal business. Uptown Kampala is very clean, spacious and boring 😂😂😂
Kampala the Hustler capital of East Africa !
Welcome to Uganda. Watching Ntinda Kampala
Loving to see my brothers from Sudan thriving n interacting in Kampala in Kenya they are in millions one Africa ❤❤❤
Wonderful Uganda and Sudanese people.. Fantastic chaos, and the versatile Gamer. Thanks Ives.
You’re having good time with your African friend he’s so funny and full of good sense of humour. Both your laughter is contagious and annoying. Thanks for sharing your beautiful video ❤❤
Grasshopers (locally called Nsenene) are an old age Ugandan Delicacy..Fried and eaten everywhere in Uganda
Saida Karoli has a song for nsenene 😅
Nsenene in Kiswahili is those insects with big wings and in plenty at night following the light during a rainy season.
We use chemicals to spray off grasshoppers from our farms in Ghana, we don't eat them. 🤣🤣🤣👑
Rather eat Grasshoppers than chemicals!
@@elijahtk3893 oh dear, that's a sin!
You two should start your own vlog, awesome duo to watch
I started watching you when you were leaving Ethiopia but I think I will go back to erlier videos.
From Ethopia is where the fun is.....But sure, watch the rest coz he gives us only one video per week. I mean, what does he want us to do for the other 6 days?
The MUSEVENI song is stuck in my head
😂😂😂
Thats beautiful walk through.. and you meet a man that sang on your camera... 😮😮😮😮🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Great video
Wow. Uganda's Capitol Kampala definitely needs more space. Down town Kampala is a psychotic place 😮😮😮😮😢
We call downtown Kampala "organized chaos"...Also Check Wode maya shoots in Kampala
I love the friendship you have with Gamer. He is such a wonderful kind hearted person. God bless him.
Man Games is the best man. I hope he will have a Very Good Life. I wish him the best.
Vraiment bien vos vidéos, continuez comme ça !
Morning my friend welcome here in Kampala
The land of impalas
Everybodys out, like old Times before internet, greetings ny friend 🎉
Yves by now you should have known how Gammer greets but one day, he will knock someone when raising his hand, but I love how free spirited he is
This is how us Sudanese greet 😂 and we always handshake after a hug
So many Chinese goods in Uganda, truly shows how the Yellow Brick Road has made its way down Africa!!!
I didn't realise these were quite old videos until I heard the guy in the video say Kampala is quite busy because it's almost Christmas.....but makes sense why you would post videos waaay later, I am sure by now you in Zambia or even further....good stuff though...all the very best. love your videos.
We are 3 month back there is a video he said that he will be at kampala for the new year's eve
He makes videos every day but posts them later, am sure it is for security reasons, this makes travel and vloging safe for him, I think he releases videos only after he has left that region...
@@allantalam5240 very true which I believe is the same thing I would do otherwise everyone would know where he is.
Only when with Gamer will you see Yeves happy and in laughter
Yves,
I only have two requests
1.When you get to SA,can you do a review of your observations/reflections and experiences of your travel from France to SA,I plan to drive from KE-SA-Cameroon
2.Can you write a book?
He will most likely do one of the 2 requests
I can send him several types of perfume from Dubai
Uganda is a home for everybody,,,great content
This Sudanese guy is the type of friend everyone needs to have around, he's funny, kind and honest.
Yve is only laughing 😂
@Kino Yves, these days, no one will probably still your phone on the streets of Kampala because of National Cameras almost everywhere...In any case, almost everyone has a Smart Phone...Enjoy... Watching and following from Kampala Uganda East Africa
Steal, not still.
@@Flourish_todayGo and be smartass on some other comment. +256 explained it nice.
Uganda woman are beautiful❤ kisses .
blessings for you all and keep tight yves ...
It seems weird to me, as an American, to eat grasshoppers, but I bet they taste good. I would definitely try.
Ooh my God,, garmar heard green grasshoppers instead is green apples😂😂😂 that's funny our brother garmar,,,we kino family we are proud of you.
Great video Yves. I appreciate how you focus on the lives of normal people in the towns and villages you pass through - which I'm sure is only possible because of the moderate pace and immersive nature of cycling. Keep this type of video coming!
Kenyans here give me a like
WATSUP MY FRIEND,NICE VERY NICE......AMAZING.QUE SERA SERA ....LOVE IT
World Economic Forum would be proud.
I don't think Yves would get the joke!
Indeed, I don't get it
@@KinoYves you need to take the redpill and wake up buddy ( insects and grass hoppers are full of parasites)
@@KinoYves There are 17 substainable development goals or short SDG's, that are implemented worldwide, disguesed as euphonisms. Eating insects is basically one of them. Basically all governments are infiltraded with WEF and WHO. One world government in motion.
@@markthemill I expained it, but it got deleted someway somehow... The joke just got bigger.
Good connection between you too..a Good frindship
I really love Gamel, and you yves. You really know good man and he is your guy,Can't wait to see your next adventure
Brother, you are an inspiration to so many keep doing good!
Yves, another great content. Thank you for introducing us to Gamer and the friendly people of Uganda Most of Africa is doing business like this, what can be done to make it more orderly?🙏🏼
Why does it have to be more orderly? I like that people aren’t the same the world over. It’s always interesting to see how other cultures do things. The only problem I see here is that one fire is gonna burn down most that market with the amount of stuff packed in those shops.
@@xmateinc exactly my point
@@NamibianRUclipsChannel guess its got to be somewhere in between too much regulation, that makes it hard for small business’s to even start, and little to no regulations that creates an unsafe situation for everyone. Some of the places he walked by were packed to the ceiling with cheap crap.
@@xmateinc your points make sense. Thank you
‘Nsenene’ grasshoppers yummy💕
I wonder often watching your videos..does Yves mean "eat like animal?" 🤣
Lol😅
Love your content Yves! Salute!
I love this video. I've never watched you before. Some people there are very pushy and aggressive. Be careful not to get robbed and hurt. That can happen anywhere, especially if you're a white person. Be safe and continue filming for all of ua
I remember when I was younger I used to always wear a fancy dress watch everywhere, now that I’m older I only like smart watches like Garmin or Apple Watch Ultra.
The insects you ate are called termites- ikong in Ateso Language and kumbekumbe in swahili Language.
Yves you love Gamer and that is wonderful.
Mr Yves vous mangez les sauterelles, on en mange aussi au congo 🇨🇩 on les appellent communément nseenene ,vraiment ce délicieux
They are very delicious😋
Hey Yves..how does it taste?..nice sharing
Like a grasshopper
I think those insects you ate are grasshoppers, those from Sudan are locusts
😂
Jebaleko _ well done en olyotya ~ how you doing
Gamer surely Gods blessings are always with you,I like the way you always look happy.may God bless you
Love from kenya
Watching Yves enjoy his food makes me hungry every time!
Chaotic
Uganda is a home for every body ,,, great content!!!!
the street is so dirty!! what about they clean their place of work?!
How do they clean when the vendors are on run, spreading their goods everywhere. The authorities try to stop them but they can't control, as u can see everyone is hurstling.
They only clean in the evening.
It's different from places where shops are designated
@@Designeroptionexactly
Go to any open air market in the USA, and when they leave its like a hurricane of trash hit. I’ll admit though, that the clutter is massive in that market.
@Kino yves, thats our downtown Kampala...With its "organised chaos"
Im kenyan but people be going crazy when i tell em Uganda is the first country id love to travel or maybe stay
Uganda the Pearl of Africa it welcomes everybody
Who has noticed that this video was before Christmas
Gamer has good heart god bless you ✌️
Gamer is a playa, and that move of not letting them know you speak their language, real pro.
Welcome to Kampala, am a great fun, hoping to meet you
He shot this in December. He has travelled further south by now.
Ugandan street food is the best
It is true, are known as grasshoppers, its one of Uganda's delicacy. They actually slightly big before are being prepared

This guy is down to earth wow very humble, outgoing ❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂 the way he ate grasshoppers 😂😂😂 just eat it and he enjoyed it. I am a Ugandan but l love grasshoppers sooooo much...
Thank you for the video 📹 😊😊
Gyebaleko means thank you for what you're are doing
Correct
Yes, but it‘s a greeting, only that it‘s only said to someone who is working.
Because of you kino I will be trying street food whenever I see it now!
Gamer is a Kampala city kid now
Oh yes, grasshoppers and ants grilled like in South America. Good protein. Nice to see Gamer, not sure if this video was before the donation collections. He is hard worker. Gosh, that market is crowded; would definitely get lost in that area; too many alleys and turns.
Did people donate to him?
@@lynnkesh254 Yes, last we checked the link it was over 2600 Euros
