  • DEMONS is one of my favorite films so I figured why not do a little Night Danger. Excuse the sloppy playing, it's been a long time since I've played this one. Guitar is my Cort G300 Pro with JB in the bridge. I am running the amp into the Torpedo Captor and using a Choptones IR of a G12-80.

You think this or an Origin 50 would be a good "for now" amp . I'd love to get a jcm 800 but it's big bucks obviously. How do you like the crate stealth still?

I played an Origin 50 at GC some years ago and it sounded decent but was definitely limited in how much ground it would cover. The DSL is far more versatile and covers what the Origin will do easily and beyond. Personally, I would choose the DSL without hesitation.
The Stealth is still a great amp too, especially for those 80s metal tones. Maybe not quite as versatile as the DSL but with a different flavor.

I have a DSL100 head. The green channel is almost close to a JCM800 (I used to own 2) especially with a good pedal in front of it.

Yeah, it's a really good amp for the money. Covers a lot of the classic and modern Marshall sounds. I don't have the pedal either. Mine stays at home though so it's no big deal.
