VivziePop is an independent animator, graduated from SVA in NYC!
I am a huge fan of musicals, and animating colorful and unique characters! When I'm not animating, i'm working on a number of other art related projects including a webcomic entitled "Zoophobia" where most of my animated characters come from! I hope you enjoy my silly style of animation or art!

I'm exhausted people don't think I can take critique, I'm also exhausted people feel the need to critique when none was REALLY needed. -Something like this was done fast, and for fun to stay loose. it's not a big product it was done for fun to get back into animating after a long break. It's not perfect but I don't need to hear about it because I'm not going BACK to this one, I just wanted to share it. You can critique if you want though, Gi for it, your not wrong for doing so! -It's not that I can't take it! theres just a time and place I spose for me to be really accepting of it at this point in time. People think this attitude translates to not being able to take critique, when it's just I'm tired of CONSTANT critique on every little scrap I create, because it makes me feel like nothing I do is any good, so why bother keep trying? It'd be nice to get it constructively on projects and times that could actually benefit.
I understand that this can get tiring, try not to take notice of it. Honestly I think people critique you work because they're trying to get noticed by you and be recognised as someone who knows about animation. Also you have a big presence on youtube and so criticism make come to you because your content gets a lot of views online, and so you're more prone to getting criticism as you get a lot of comments in general. Try not to worry about it, this is quite common with freelance artists who work online. And to be honest you know as well as I do that animators and artists tend to get ripped off in industry, underpaid for the hours of work they put in, so you might actually be better off working freelance despite the few people who critique your work. Stay positive, you're doing alright :)
It's sad people are criticizing you on something you did for fun, you should be allowed to take some time to just have fun with your animation without having people constantly critique it. I think this animation is pretty cute, thanks for letting us see it!
I guess I just want people to know I'm more apt to listen to criticism on things that can improve my future works, not technicalities on an exercise if that makes sense? It could prolly be argued it's all helpful, but I spose when you take into account having this kind of thing thrown at EVERY thing you create, it gets a little heavy. In anycase, people aren't wrong to critique, they totally can! I just get exhausted by constant stuff.
I see what you mean, the only thing I can think of that could put an end to it is to just ignore criticism from the comment section. By ignore I mean by not replying (you can still read it if you want of course). That sounds a bit harsh I know, but you wouldn't be telling them to stop. And honestly it seems that people 'critique' your work to get a reaction out of you, and if you're replying to their comment, they get want they want. It's good to have criticism but from people you know who has knowledge that could help you. Not from some random comment on one of your videos. So if you are looking for critics, contact animators/artists you know, or you know of, who are experienced in the field ask them for their opinions. That's just my suggestion anyway, try not to get worked up about it :)

Really cute! Might i say, the only thing that feels off is the hair, everything else is smooth and fluid with her movement, the hair is stiff.
but itnis an animation exercise so who knows later it might be a lot more fluid

This was for the most part very well executed. My only bit of critique would be to make the hair move or sway a little more, it really didn't seem to move all that much.
I didn't haha the hair stays stationary in this particular animation, it moves directly with the head, I just wanted to get it done fast. Next time i'd prolly add more secondary.

i agree with +Stabilization the clothes are a bit wonky. they hair is a bit stiff too. but other then that it moves smoothly and well the body movements are mostly natural but like i said VERY smooth.
Uh, quick critique.
The little strips of fabric (i guess I'll call it a skirt to be short handed) are well animated but there's two flaws with it. Firstly, it's awkward how it changes in thickness a lot. Secondly, the way the skirt pieces change length is really weird too. These problems could be fixed with perspective tricks (maybe them being short cause they get a bit closer to you compared to the rest) or drawing the fabric folding in on itself. Just something I'd throw out for you.

+Zizygene Yeah, but as an animator myself (not professional like Viv though) I personally show my warm ups and wips to others to get critiques before I declare them done. I think critiques are essential for an artist's growth, even on things like warm ups/practices/sketches. Idk if she thinks that way but I do so I thought I'd throw it out there.
+Zizygene if she didn't want critiques, she wouldn't have have uploaded it. As a good artist she isn't a butthurt like SOMEONE else
