I am just assuming this so I might be wrong. Something in the engine broke or snaped and to keep going, the CoPilot was holding it in place just so the car could hold on till the end.
Nearly everyone of those cars were downright stupid, driving on flat tyres, with the bonnet up etc is stupid, driving on 3 wheels even more so. A couple did appear to have been patched up and were probably less unsafe!! Have an accident and STOP and assess the damage, get a puncture and stop [off the road] and change the wheel. Liability Insurance anyone? If you cannot get that no motorsport, and as a circuit and oval competitor I am sick of subsidising these fools

LOL your the stupid one. Its rally racing, theres no spare tires, wheels or stopping unless your cars destroyed. They are all headed to the pit, and everyone of them was driving at 50% so id say they are all being very smart.

When the bonmet goes up wouldn't they gain more time getting out and losing 30 seconds to put it down and the gain the time driving at full speed?
