Before ESPN and cable news 24/7 over-saturation of the coverage, shows like this were invaluable, and must see TV.

I'll get blasted for this...being a Packers fan since I was little, but when Fran Tarkenton was the QB for the Vikings I liked him. His scrambling was wild and I emulated him although I am a lefty. Once I grew up and realized I was supposed to "hate" the Vikings I had to drop my childhood memories and well it didn't take long....lol. Seriously though I respect ALL of the NFC North, Central, whatever division they were in. The Black and Blue Division got it's name for a reason. The Bears Dick Butkus, the Bears 1985 record setting Defense. The Vikings Purple People Eaters Defense, the Packers well, the 60's and 1970 Packers then the later years, and even the Lions with Barry Sanders, Herman Moore, etc. We have great rivals, hatred is a strong word. I don't hate anyone's team. I may dislike them a LOT! LOL, But I don't hate them. I love and respect to game too much and the historic people who brought it to us. The Packers, the Bears being the first and longest rivalry in the NFL. That is awesome, epic, and the longevity is unbelievable! These past videos of seasons I was 2-3 years old for, are extremely fun for me to watch. It takes me back to my summer trips to the Packers Hall of Fame. Every summer my Grandparents would load up the car and take me on a 2 or 3 day trip to Green Bay from Milwaukee. We'd get a hotel 🏪🏫🏢 near 🏟Lambeau Field🏟 Stadium🏟 and we'd spend a quick walk through the Hall on day one. Day two we'd Grandpa and I would spend the day in the mini 🎥theater🎥 and watch classic movies of the 60's Packers. Lombardi's Packers, and Bart Starr. We sometimes got to see the players practice. Once I got yelled at by Bart Starr. I was peeking under the tarp. Heck I was like 6 or 7? I didn't know...lol. Those memories are so wonderful. Memories that I cherish and relish with love and affection and utmost respect. My Grandfather was 85 when he passed away from a massive heart attack. Despite his age, he was 76-79 years old when he and my Grandma 👵 took me to Green Bay. They were married in 1915. Born in 1897. Married until he passed in 1982, that's 67 years. They were amazingly warm, loving, strong willed, caring, giving people, yet extremely stubborn my Grandma was...lol. My Grandpa was the most patient and wonderful man I ever knew or will ever know. He NEVER thought of himself. Only his family and if it meant he lost out, missed out, or had to go without, he did without ever thinking about it. He just DID IT! I suppose nobody really is doing flips knowing these facts but I want anyone to know how amazing he was. How incredible they both were. How their love was the most unconditionally shown love I ever experienced. These videos are football, but to me they have more meaning than just a sport! Thank you!

Remember Joe Dawkins from his time as a Giant when I was a kid. Funny seeing someone other than Earl Campbell wearing #34 for the Oilers.

Yeah, but a controversial victory over the Giants that year altered the course of football history. Giants fell one game short of the NFC East division title. Dallas won it an went on to it's first ever SB.

Funny thing: Dallas was 5-4 entering week 10. They would win 7 games in a row, but lose a Super Bowl they should have won. The next season they were 4-3 after which Staubach led them to 10 straight wins including the Super Bowl.

The man's best season was 800 yards and he ran for less in his career than Eric Dickerson did in one season. Maybe that gets him in your HOF.

@@mitchellbaker9434 If he hadn't been a jerk "he would have played" upwards of 10 years and gained 8000 maybe even 10,000 yards. This is the point that went over your head.

The Vikings in week 10 showed they were the best on defense but a little bit of a problem when they had the ball

Broncos' defensive front four were bad assed dudes. Saints tackling and pass coverage, VERY lacking - just poor tackling all the way around And, you'd think the Patriots O-line was carrying out a vendetta against Joe Kapp. Just absolutely putrid blocking. I'd retire, too, if that were my future as a quarterback.
Bills had defensive woes back then, but that line and linebackers were really in Bobby Douglass' hair all afternoon. Bears weren't much good, but few were worse than the Bills.

The Giants started 0-3 in 1970, then ripped off 9 of the next 10. If they'd have won their last game at home vs the Rams, they'd have beaten out Dallas for the playoffs. They got an early 3-0 lead, then gave up the next 31 points. Dallas got to the Super Bowl (including a crazy 5-0 win over Detroit) but lost to the Colts.
