My uncle was an auctioneer and turned me on to Leroy 35 years ago. We were in Nashville and he bought an LP of Leroy's greatest hits and had me make a cassette tape of nothing but Auctioneer!
Leroy never changed his musical style and was very fortunate to make great records and spite of his last charted record he still performs and I'm sure he does this song occasionally.
Hi, Wilbur. I have one more request from 1969/1970, if you have it. "Crack In My World" by Leroy Van Dyke. It peaked at #56 in late 1969 and is one of the few Van Dyke hits that I have never heard before. Thanks.
Very good friend. Him and his wife Mrs Gladys wonderful people.

This is a great song
A masked country singer by the name of "Orion" also recorded this tune for Shelby Singleton as well..and around the same time.
A great talent, don't know why he didn't have more hits...
I am very fond of this song and listen to this video often.
Leroy was one of the best. Great post.

Orion's version was a couple of years after this..The arrangements are very similar.
Sounds like Gentle On My Mind by Glen Campbell
I should see if I have that, I have some of Orion's singles!
Nice one! I like it!
