Sloths absolutely lived in caves. Also in the ocean like a manatee climbing mountains in trees in swamps in grasslands in tundra in desert like scrub lands and more. As well they lived all across the Americas. They diversified to fill every niche. Which is why I believe they still live having found skins arguably as young as 500 to 3000 years old and younger. There are 6-9' tall hidden burrows lining literally hundreds of miles beneath jungle and other terrain where ground sloth burrowed and lived. It's not hard to see how an 8' tall alien demonic totally unknown beast seemingly appears out of nowhere in forests and jungles as well as vanishing just as mysteriously
I believe that they can exist but I am not sure about them living in the oceans. That would be pretty hard for them to develop that ability. It is certain that our ancestors did have contact with them so it doesn't take much to argue that they could still be around. I do like the underground tunnel theory though.

Speaking of the Cheetah. I have to wonder if it could be a prehistoric survivor. There used to be an American Cheetah. Back when sabertooths were a thing.
"The Rake" is just fictional name given to the American variant of the hominins that are known as "Wendigo". And Wendigo's are not to be mistaken with the Leshy. The "Red Cheetah" sounds like a Hyena variant.
No. The RAKE is a creature totally disconnected that tore apart a child and terrorized a mother who could do nothing about it. All part of a short story written a while back as a creepy pasta
@@user-nm8mt8vb3c No? Example to the fallacy that you call logic; Sasquatch are hominids that predate the Quaternary extinction event, but since there’s a movie called “Harry and the Henderson’s” Harry’s are not real. Do you understand how history and genetically inherited ancestral memories inform fiction and why certain stories resonate world wide? Such creatures are limited to regional names and man made boarders after all. You’re right.. Sasquatch is not real because George Lucas featured “Chewie” And Orang Pendek is fake because of “ewoks” *pats head* Homo floresiensis never existed cause Tolkien featured “hobbits” Fuck Gigantopithecus, because we have "King Kong" and "Mighty Joe Young". OH! Colossal and Giant Squids don't really exists because of the "Kraken" and "Leviathan". "Rake" is just a name given to a hominin variant who's existence has been documented by multiple cultures CENTURIES before "Creepypasta" even existed.
@@Spoeism it's just a story. Sasquatch may be real but, and I could be wrong, supernatural creatures such as the modern interpretation of a Wendigo are NOT. Wendigo myth vary but in first nations lore they exist in 2 forms a spirit possessing a man causing an insatiable hunger for human flesh. This is a psychological reaction to a life where starvation through winter can mean death. The stresses cause ones mind to break. A more supernatural version is roughly the same except personified by the person "burning" and it begins with them obsessing their feet burning and they begin to run and run as the fire a symbol of the desire to eat flesh consumes them as they are seen running through the forest or skies at night. The humanoid deer skeleton or rake looking entity sasquatch version are simply very modern pop cultural interpretations
@@user-nm8mt8vb3c please tell me, an anishinaabe Ojibwa descendant what the “wendigo” are. Traditional Wendigo are nocturnal subterranean hominins. With the human cannibals having their mental sickness associated with. Oh you think the Inuit frost heart is the Ojibwa wendigo? Wow you used google

Great series Ben, interesting that some states have their own cryptid population while other cryptids such as various Sasquatch and Dogmen are more universal and found all over. All are facilitating but I think the one off cryptids are the most intriguing due to their mysterious nature. Thanks and keep up the wonderful work!!
You and I have the same interest then! I appreciate the stand by creatures but I really enjoy the unique ones more. I am dreading the moment where I find a state where I have to only talk about bigfoot rather than anything else.
Fallout 76 brought me to your videos about a year or so ago and I've paid more of a visit here than the game of late. Super interesting and I love hearing about all these. Makes me wonder if there are any Cryptids where I live in West Yorkshire, England
That is cool! The game gets more hate than it should. I get why people trash it but I still had fun. Eventually I will make a video about around where you live. However I seem to recall two fairly prominent cryptids in that area.
It really does, though recently it's become a little less forgiving on the casual player. Last I was on I was making a Cryptid Hunter HQ. And that's awesome! What are they called? May do a little research on them myself. Looking forward to the next video!
Ha Ha!! Who would have thought that a kangaroo could get more dangerous. They can already knock us out we don't need them chewing on us while we are down too ha ha!
Ha ha!! You know since starting this series I was shocked that the state with the most popular cryptids ,West Virginia, hasn't been requested more. I get that most people know about them but you would have thought it would have been top 10! With your vote it is now in a tie for third.
I really don't know what that "rake thing is, but I'm here to tell you that it is not fictional. One was in my house and it bit me! The strange thing about it is where it bit me is where I had my first lupus attack.
The rake is fictional but the creature you may have encountered is known as a crawler. The fact that it was in your house is a major indicator of that.
On the Tennesee Terror. Witness mentioned it was a blueish yellow color. I belive there is some truth in alot of sighting and that some cryptids may not want to be photographed yet. But blueish yellow is a forbidden/impossible color that people cant allways see. I'm not trying to say the whole story isn't real unless they ment a blue and yellow pattern. But being in water and having a color that alot of people allready can't see may also be why theres no known pictures of the tennesee terror. Or maybe that's why they look blurry.
I understand what you are saying. When I first read the article I was thinking how odd that color would be. I then assumed that they meant it had like a blue top and it's belly was yellow. A lot of the older articles leave some information up for interpretation ha ha!!
I just found your channel recently. It's great! You do a fine job. Please do WASHINGTON & My HOME NORTH CAROLINA. I've grown up in Middle Tennessee all my life. The rural areas and growing up I've heard multiple stories of giant carnivorous lost that live in caves and abandoned buildings that would snatch you if you came too close. 8 foot to 9 foot tall creatures with sharp teeth and fangs and if you got too close to their hiding areas they would reach out and grab you and that would be the end of you
About 8 years ago my family members lived around the TN/KY border the kids told me about a story about a pig lady type creature, they seemed really scared, was going to join them if thy were going to stay longer than a year they didn't.
I am happy you enjoyed it! I wrote down your vote for Utah. It actually doesn't have a lot of votes. I may mention skinwalker ranch but that topic is something for it's own video.
I think skin walker ranch has had enough exposure, like area 51 in early mid eighties.....I believe alot of what goes on there is true......at the ranch....
You should do Illinois and/or Colorado. That being said why is the Rake fake? I remember seeing a few videos with a creature chasing people making a pig-like noise.
Illinois was the very first state in this series and I made one about Colorado a while ago. Many if not all of those "rake" videos are not real. The closest thing to the rake being a real thing would be the crawlers but they don't chase people or make pig noises. The rake has a easy timeline to trace for it's creation and it was fairly recently. Although within that created lore some did try to include old reports from the 1800s which were also made up.
Excellent video! The Wildman was particularly interesting-- I wouldn't mind learning more about that one. As for the next state, how about either Alabama or Wyoming?
The wildman was an interesting story but I didn't have enough time to get into it on this video. I know a lot of people wished I made longer videos but the 16 minute mark seems perfect. I added your votes to the list!
Maine is currently sitting at the number one spot with a very strong lead. Unless something crazy happens with voting it is highly likely to be the next video.

I don't think that the document has a name...at least one hasn't been mentioned. In this video I did include a link to the original source and they may have a clearer picture to look at. It would be great if you could decipher it! Hello to Germany!
Great video and good information. I like your cryptid videos. But I'm really skeptical about the sloth / cave creature. I looked at the Crypto-Crews page and even of that small amount of the "German Book" parts of the translation are left our or wrong. Do you happen to have a clearer picture of this book-page or the book title? The first few fragments shown on their page describe nothing like a sloth, instead they compare to a lion, but grey and more ferocious than the African Lions that often climbs trees. I'm not very familiar with the mountain lion, but that sounds a more likely candidate matching that description. Sloths have so far been described as more dosile plant-eaters, so I have a really hard time imagine them to be more ferocious or agressive than an african lion.

Cool! Thank you for sharing that. I appreciate it.
I believe that they can exist but I am not sure about them living in the oceans. That would be pretty hard for them to develop that ability. It is certain that our ancestors did have contact with them so it doesn't take much to argue that they could still be around. I do like the underground tunnel theory though.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos once they did but not today. Sirenians and iguana fill that niche
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos they did live in oceans but were replaced by sirens and iguana in that niche
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos I'm not saying today however
You should look into the X Board on Reddit too. Someone reported seeing Giant Sloths in Arkansas too.
I try to avoid reddit but I will certainly look into it! Thank you for the suggestion!
Okay Ben. I'm one of your first subscribers, and I'm voting for Arkansas! I live in the state, and I've heard some really strange noises. Btw, I live in a rural area. I've seen bears, armadillos, HUGE tarantulas, and numerous Bobcats. I accidentally ran over a bobcat and now it's mounted in my living room. Lol. LATA!!!
I recognize your name and user picture. Your vote has moved Arkansas into a tie for second place. It is still quite a distance to first though. With you saying about forest noises I was just looking up creepy forest topics for a future video.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos That's cool that looking into creepy forest sounds. Messenger me on Facebook and I'll give you my phone number, if you interested in the creepy noises that I've heard. LATA
Covering Iowa would be cool
I wrote your vote down. You moved it higher on the list but it does have quite a few states to go through.
Speaking of the Cheetah. I have to wonder if it could be a prehistoric survivor. There used to be an American Cheetah. Back when sabertooths were a thing.
I honestly wish there was more information about it than there is.
America had several good sized cats ex Am lion who hunted during the day and had horses but somehow died out all true.
I would love to see this but very far away night vision googles, in a helicopter just somewhere safe lol
Sasquatch is not real because George Lucas featured “Chewie”
And Orang Pendek is fake because of “ewoks”
*pats head*
Homo floresiensis never existed cause Tolkien featured “hobbits”
Fuck Gigantopithecus, because we have "King Kong" and "Mighty Joe Young".
OH! Colossal and Giant Squids don't really exists because of the "Kraken" and "Leviathan".
I mean guys like Lucas and Tolkien didn't study actually REAL life folklore, religions and world myths... never..
And the person who wrote the "Creepypasta" which is the "End all be all of universal law regarding probability" wasn't taking inspiration from real life like say.. EVERY successful writer from The Grim Bros to King to Gaiman??
Thanks for coming out Mr. No
Who remembers back when "Gorillas" were just a myth made up by charlatans and bogus adventurers looking for fame, as we still fail to find ANY OF their fossilized remains due to their habitats?
Emaciated hominins who rely on echo location to hunt.
Subterranean + malnutrition * incestial breeding pool.
Remnants of ancient humans such as Denisovan.
With the human cannibals having their mental sickness associated with.
Oh you think the Inuit frost heart is the Ojibwa wendigo?
Wow you used google
I am iroquois. The Ojibwa myth depicts the Wendigo exactly as a starving emaciated person which as I stated is a manifestation of cannibalism and the extreme fear and stress caused by winters in the harsh environment of life the many first nations tribes experienced
Yes. My home state.
I am happy that you enjoyed it!
That first one sounds like some odd mixture of cockatrice and basalisk. Who knew my home state had such a thing.
Another great episode, Ben! That carnivorous kangaroo is something else.
Ha Ha!! Who would have thought that a kangaroo could get more dangerous. They can already knock us out we don't need them chewing on us while we are down too ha ha!
I think that it's time for my cryptid filled state of West (By God) Virginia. Good stuff as always Ben. Blessings to you and your family. 🙏
Ha ha!! You know since starting this series I was shocked that the state with the most popular cryptids ,West Virginia, hasn't been requested more. I get that most people know about them but you would have thought it would have been top 10! With your vote it is now in a tie for third.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos I agree that it's odd that we haven't received more votes.
Ben, as far as I've found, the wildman was seen in 97 in the Johnson City area. That's Washington county, a long way from the county you stated.
I really don't know what that "rake thing is, but I'm here to tell you that it is not fictional. One was in my house and it bit me!
The strange thing about it is where it bit me is where I had my first lupus attack.
Okay.... You just can't leave it at that... LOL..
The rake is fictional but the creature you may have encountered is known as a crawler. The fact that it was in your house is a major indicator of that.
home sweet home, my current state of residency
THERES the Brian Mtn lights
Apparitions on Chimney Rock ( there was Hendersonville Times News article about it back in the late 1800's. Not cryptid I know but...I'm sure there's a few of them lurking about
What about far west TN? My home state and still livin it
I saw the albino deer in Pulaski Tennessee
I have 2 mounted albino deer heads. They are pretty old
I've grown up in Middle Tennessee all my life.
Another great video!! Thanks
Thank you so much! I am happy you enjoyed it!
Let’s get into the cheese state!!! Wisconsin has some good ones! Great video as always @Ben Miller keep up the amazing work!
Ha Ha!! It is now tied for 3 place at the moment!
look up dog man in L B L IVE SEEN IT IN DOVER TN
awesome!!!!!
Glad you think so!
thanks, Ben!! pretty awesome as usual :D guess my vote would be for North Carolina or Minnesota
I’m from Oklahoma and you did a great job on that one. I think you should do Utah next and you should mention the skinwalker ranch.
Thank you for the information. Keep up the good work.
I'd like to see Maine next please!
Maine is currently sitting at the number one spot with a very strong lead. Unless something crazy happens with voting it is highly likely to be the next video.
I'd like to know about Minnesotas crypids
teespring is still not letting me order a black chewy hoodie. When you try to enter the size no option is available. Hence it can not be placed into cart. ugh!
I just looked into this and I ran into the same problem! All of my other products are working fine including the white hoodie. I emailed them to find out what is going on. I hope this doesn't have anything to do with political things.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos I have been wanting to order a black chewy hoodie XL for some time. I hope they are able to fix it. Thank you for looking into it for me.
Vote for Louisiana here
Wow we have a 5 way tie for second place now!
Oh and it only come out when it was a foggy morning
Can't wait to hear about Kentucky
I live in coffee county and I swear the entire summer I heard something on my roof it’s metal at first thought it was some animal or bird but it literally sounded like someone walking and knocking on it my fiancé went outside nothing was there I don’t know why but crawler came to mind 😳😳 I heard knocking I was outside earlier that day and yelled don’t run to my child I heard someone or something saying don’t run don’t run didn’t sound like me exactly I was so scared had my fiancé’s dad who is a cop look around there was nothing haven’t heard anything since... I’m still damn scared I always keep the light outside on now.. Maybe it was a person but it didn’t feel like one to me....
Crawlers are a fairly new cryptid so not a lot is known about them. Sadly the rake takes a lot of wind out of their sails for research. I could only imagine being in your shoes with that going on. It would freak me out as well. So, if I understand you correctly, this thing actually was mimicking you? That sends a shiver down my spine and I obviously don't frighten easily. Please keep me posted if anything else happens.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos yes it said what I said to my son earlier in the day and was knocking all over the place then it stopped it sounded the way I said but not my voice sounded a mix of male and female it is hard to explain but I haven’t heard anything since last summer...
Oregon would be fun
Alabama next
Your vote moved it up one!
Do you know the name of the book or document at 8:28min? Great video. Greetings from Germany :)
I don't think that the document has a name...at least one hasn't been mentioned. In this video I did include a link to the original source and they may have a clearer picture to look at. It would be great if you could decipher it! Hello to Germany!
A couple of them fellas look like my neighbor 😂
Nebraska!!!!
Thank you for your vote! You moved it up the list quite a bit!
What about the spear finger
I'd love to see Montana done.
Thanks again Ben.
Please remember that Bear Lake ( and its monster) are in Idaho. Vote Idaho

I got ya my friend! Actually I wrote down both of the votes and Idaho is moving pretty high up.
Leopard, black panther s through out TN
Please do Arkansas! Loved your video!
How/where do we vote? I want to cast my vote for Wisconsin.
You just did and it is currently in a tie for second place.
I heard if an Aussie sees a white kangaroo it's all bad
I never heard anything about that! What is the reason behind that?
How about Ct
There were Carnivorous Kangaroos bat they were only in Australia. So what are people seeing?
There are prehistoric carnivorous kangaroos.
Would love to see Iowa!
That would be quite terrifying to be honest ha ha!! I wrote down your vote for Iowa.
Shit like this is why I've always carried guns while hiking
Not only for cryptids but other types of beasts. My dad and I once had a mountain lion try to stalk us while on our dirt bikes.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos . Yeah I had a black bear stalk me once while hiking I had to use my gun luckily I had it or it would've probably killed me. I always carry my 9mm with extreme penatrator ammo and my 10mm
I vote for Pa next
Maybe if I wanted to take a bunch of nickels.I got part of a cigar I’ll chew on
Please do Alabama. Our "White Thang" seems similar to the White Screamer.
55 years, may have seen a small something... never seen any high known anything
Wyoming would be neat since that state doesn't exist. Maybe the whole video could be about how the state is a cryptid.
You have me a little confused but intrigued ha ha!!
Do georgia next
Thank you for your vote! I wrote it down and it moved a little bit.
Did you go to see Phil's prediction this year, Ben???
Ha Ha!! No! I have lived in Punxsy for around 16 years and I have never went up to see him. Actually this year they didn't even hold the event they kept it all digital.
@@BenmillerIceWolfVideos Yeah, I watched some of it...a bunch of old guys in top hats and overcoats...Phil did not look happy to be drug out of his box. It's kind of cool that they stuck with this tradition for so long though.
