Very Nice. This is one of my favorite videos that NASA put up. You can really see how thin our atmosphere really is, and it is all that protects us from Space. Nice music. Very well done my friend. I like the rolling synth at 1:46 with the LFO filter.

Thanks mate! The synth coming in around 1:46 is a Commodore 64 synth (i used the free C64 sample pack for Zampler - www.zampler.de). I moused in an arpeggio and used Ableton's filter on it. I actually want to get a real C64 with an MSSIAH module ( www.8bitventures.com/mssiah/ ), eventually. i am a big fan of the "SID" (Commodore C64 sound chip). Here is one of my favorite C64 tracks: Rob Hubbard - Commando [C64]

excellent ! May I ask what was your audio interface back then ?

I used a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24 DSP on a Mac Book Pro to record the X0xb0x. I made the rest with VSTs "in the box", including the distortion on the X0xb0x. So, I do not think that the choice of audio interface made a big difference in this track. I still have it, but I do not use it anymore. My new PC laptop has no Firewire, and I did not find a good affordable adapter, yet. So, I went and downgraded to the Steinberg UR22 MK2 for now. I had a Presonus DigiMax LT 8 connected to the Saffire, but I ended up not using all these inputs as I moved my sound design further into the Laptop instead of sampling hardware.
