The thing about Chris Rivers that separates him from other rapper's kids is that he's actually RAW ASF. Like you can tell his father has some influence in his flow, but its not him trying to be his father, its just him. Man I hope he blows up soon.

You won't be put on Ellen, Letterman, Tonight Show and hundreds of other television programs on all sorts of networks world-wide so easily. You wont have your face splashed on buses all over the planet or played over and over and over again in a repetitive mind-numbing cycle which mainstream radio does. The mainstream media has played a massive part in the degradation of music as we know it today, and even life.
almoststewy2 that's a very simplistic view... blaming the media and the corporate world for everything... what if the people who listen to the radio who plays a certain type of music would stop listening to those same radio stations... well, I'll tell you, the media would start to play other music and see if people like it or not, it's not just about "oh let's spend 2 million $ on promoting this singer and hopefully the masses will buy his music", if nobody ever like rap at all, there would have been no rap scene for instance, some people liked this new type of music, so it evolved... as a result there's really good rap music and there's also a lot of crap, there's good commercial rap music, but there's also horrible commercial rap music just like there's good non-commercial rap music and bad non-commercial rap music, not everything in life is black or white; you can either blame the record labels or media for promoting a certain type of music or you can create the type of music you like and if it doesn't turn out to be a commercial success... well, you don't have to nag about it and blame the media, since you created this music for yourself and not for people who buy it
