Some comment I read from Reddit long ago mentioned Genshin JP VAs are simply winging it, while some mentioned JP voices are overrated and weebs will worship anything JP.
For me, apart from Raiden, JP has never been the best. Many of the voiceovers add excess enthusiasm or edginess that doesn't match the character. Then again, ever since I quit anime and listened to other dubs, JP dub became tiring to listen to
@softty7321 hard disagree, much rather have a cute moe voice that you comfort when she is upset and dote on her than a young adult who has no moe aspect. Sound is jarring for the character of kachina.
