Don't fix it. It is a chapter in your crochet journey. Love it!!! Keep your blanket from 15 years ago. Clean up the ends and throw on a border. I love it!!! Show us when you're done.❤❤
Don't try to fix it. The colors are awesome. Maybe just add a border, and use it as a throw in your home. I love it! We all improve over the years. Nothing wrong with treasuring something you put your heart into. ❤️
Your 15yr old blanket. Tie off your ends and put a border on and use it. Put it on your couch, your chair, your shoulders. Bring back the good memories that it has brought when you made it. Enjoy!!!😊😊😊
Celebrate the back of the blanket for what it is. Just finish it up and enjoy it as part of your crochet heritage. P.S., your hair is SO gorgeous! Best regards, -Paul from Orlando.
Love your project that you didn't finish. I would not change it. It is part of your history. Finish the edge and display it proudly. I love the colors.
Just leave it...be proud and show how far you've come...I'm a quilter of 42 years. I have my first quilt. It's absolutely horrible, but I keep it to show my progress...love you and your videos...
Your blanket pattern is so unique. Keep it just the way it is. The join is a reflection of your skills 15 years ago. Be proud of it. Look where you are now
Keep going with the blanket the way it is! You stumbled on a design feature! Also the cardigan looks good on you as an oversized sweater, or over layers as a coat.
I say leave the 15 year old blanket the way it is. You love it, it is a beautiful piece. It shows your progression as a fiber artist. Keep it like it is.... PLEASE ❤
OMG, You are very talented. I'm really loving your channel. That afghan is beautiful. I would suggest keeping it as is and possibly adding a short napped tattered fringe to the whole inseam, with a mixed blend of all colors. Give it a kinda distressed seam on the backside and probably a twisted fringe border too. I absolutely love the colors you've done that in. The hooded sweater is gorgeous. It would be a shame to not enjoy. I would add length to it and make it a bathrobe. Forget the buttons add pockets, a belt and loops. It would be great to lounge around in during those cold winter days. Looks so comfortable. Congrats on your channel. Your very pleasant to listen to while I'm crocheting. Best of luck and thanks for sharing.
Finish the blanket and let it ahow your progression in one project. The buttons-- bark is beautiful. Oversized cardigans are perfect. It looks good on you.
I am officially a Yan Addict addict. Beautiful piece. Keep the blanket jus the way it is. It shows your progression from 15 yrs ago. All crochet has a right side and wrong side.
I wouldn't take the blanket apart. I think it shows how far you've come. I like the ebony button. The sweater is beautiful. The puzzle yarn scarf worked up so nicely.
The Afghan is beautiful! Not just the design but also in the fact that it is an evolution of your talent. Don't take it apart. I would also put a border on it. Add fleece or flannel back to the Afghan. All your choice. Would definitely still finish it off and add that border. Remember to be proud as to how far you have come in your art!😊
Leave it as is. No one is going to see the back anyway, so just leave it as it is. Its a sign of how much you have progressed. You could keep it just to show how much you have progressed and improved. Love your channel. Welcome to" you tube".
Yes, take it back down to its parts, Juan, and fix those joins !! Your crochet is beautiful - admirable, even - and deserves to be seen without uneven joins. The colours are terrific, too. Please please make it better: it really needs to be an FO of which you can be unreservedly proud, not just partly proud.
I think your blanket is beautiful. I would add a border to it and clean up your ends and display it in a room of your choice. It will always be something special to you. And also it will always remind you of how far you have come.
That blanket is absolutely beautiful, don't you dare frog it, it's your first project and I'm sure there are some memories attached to it. My advice: find matching fleece fabric and crochet attach it to the back of the afghan. It makes it twice as cuddly and warm. I’ve done this technique many times after seeing it on Mikey’s channel. Love love LOVE your afghan by the way. I may have to screenshot it and copy it. Chef’s kiss!
Wow first afghan is beautiful. The colors go so well together. Yes add the boarder and cleanup the ends. Then every time you look at it you can remind yourself how much you’ve grown. Regarding the buttons…Ebony 💯. Finally, love the blue puzzle beanie! All your projects were great to see. Thanks for sharing.
Consider yourself a new part of my inspiration team!!! Your video came up as a suggestion… so happy it did…new sub!!! Love your aesthetics!!! Love the blanket…would leave as it is and add a black border. Love you makes…this is the 2nd video I watch…now binge watching!!! Currently making lapghans of in batches of 10 for seniors along with hats for the homeless. GOD gave us a talent to use for his glory!!! Keep up the great work that your doing!!!! Stay safe and be blessed ❤
At my church we have a hat and mitten 🌳 and we give them to the homeless and at a local school. Last year I made 94 hats. This year I did 60. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful projects.
Hi Juan, I love the colors of that blanket and the design. My opinion is that you should keep it the way it is and add to it. Then you can always have it to look at to see how far you have come. Have a great day 💜 🌻 🤗 I have my first afghan, and it's 50 years old.
Juan that blanket it amazing! I think you could put a border on it and love it as it is. It's a reminder of how much you have learned and grown in your crochet journey. It needs a place in the heart of your home. Also, I agree! That sweater looks so good on you. I know it's big, and I applaud you for your weight loss (I'm working on that, too) but it really does look great on you. Someone will love it, that' for sure.
The 15 yr old blanket-that’s basically how joins used to be done. It’s a beautiful lap blanket. I’d finish it of and throw it on a chair like you said. It’s beautiful!
I don't even remember the 1st thing I crocheted.i taught myself 1 crochet while in the army from a woman's magazine.the directions were for right handed so I'm sure whatever it was wasn't pretty.since then I have so many afghans and baby sets out there I may be remembered for my work in future archeological studies r
Leave it…tidy up the loose ends, put on a border. My MIL always said when she would sometimes leave her mistakes in she just considered she was leaving some of her love in the project! ❤
If I were you I’d put a border on it clean up the ends👌keep as a Momento! Honor the time when you created it! Glad you’ve learned more and can honestly appreciate your journey through life! That’s what it’s all about! You are an amazing person and appreciate all your hard work and dedication to us your Yarn Family!✨🤙❤️🔥
I love your piece from 15 years ago! I think the little imperfections make it perfectly handmade. Keep it, add a border and display/use it. It’s beautiful. Love all your FO’s. They’re so pretty. I also hand out hats, scarves and throws in my area in the winter. I like to make cotton scrap blankets for my local animal shelters, as well. You’re truly inspiring. So glad I subscribed.🥰🧶🖤
I would take it apart and rejoin it the right way. Then add a border. I love the design ! You have a great sense of how to balance the colors and values. Light, middle and darks.
Omg keep the blanket from 15 yrs ago the way it is. It’s beautiful and it’s a wonderful memory of how far you’ve come. ❤️ just a border and it’s be perfect!
I would continue with the blanket. It's beautiful!! Make it the size you really want. Then add a fleece lining! The sweater is awesome - yes someone will definitely love and appreciate it!! I love your beanie and triangle scarf sets!! That is very nice of you to make hats, etc to giveaway! I give to my community center and they pass them out.
Love the blanket! Keep it as it is , it shows how far you have come! And the cardigan is beautiful, someone will treasure it forever! Dark buttons would match the scarf perhaps! Love the wall of yarn too!😊
I would leave the afghan as it is. Just weave in the ends and be proud of it. The medium buttons look great with the sweater - LOVE the patten! But with the black stripe in the scarf, maybe the black buttons would be better. Can't wait to see what's coming next!
Please leave as is, it’s part of your journey! It looks nice, it still looks nice. Love the colors! The sweater I’d use the Hazelnut Buttons, very nice, someone will really appreciate it! ❤Love your Bean stitch blanket! Nice hat and beanie for the holiday season. Omg! I love the puzzle yarn, right now I’m working on a granny square blanket , color way Jigsaw! ❤️ it! Love your beanie and scarf, it’s also Jigsaw like my blanket! Thanks for sharing!
Great makes! I also make hats for donation, I use the leftover yarns from projects and mix and match the colours. I made 52 this summer and I just donated to a homeless shelter. It’s cold here in Montreal and if 52 people are a bit warmer this winter, I will be happy.
It's a beautiful blanket! Nobody is going to judge you on the underside. Nobody looks at the underside when they have it on them. Weaving in the ends will make the back look much better. If it drives your perfectionism into overdrive, then take it apart and re-sew it properly. Just don't let it sit there. It will be a good project to work on while watching RUclips. I am as much a process crocheter as a product crocheter. I will rip and redo without a thought, since I'm enjoying the act of crochet. Do I have to start over? Ok. More to crochet!
I also made a hat and scarf set with Puzzle. That colorway is Jigsaw. I crocheted my scarf lengthwise so that I could have vertical stripes. I love how it came out!
🧶🧡Hello ☕️ In my humble opinion... I would keep the blocks blanket as is. Its a time stamp, a time capsule, a glimpse into your creative journey. The texture the sewn ridge made adds to the character from your younger hands. Clean it up, possibly add a border and love it. Think of how flattered younger you would be to receive such a high compliment from future you 🧡 ~take care.
🙋♀️ I like it just the way it is. It has character. I'd just clean up your ends and put a boarder around it and then enjoy the warmth it'll give you. 😊
I love it!! Just maybe . Border it or just sew in your ends and display it!! It's such a beautiful display of art! I wish I still had my very first afghan!! Love, love. Love your colors I love it all! Definitely keep it!!
For the blanket, I think you ahold put a black border on it and be done. It's beautiful and a reminder of how far you've come in your crochet journey. For the sweater, I want to first say how happy I am that your health has improved. Secondly, I know that whoever gets that will love it. My first love in high school was over 6 ft and over 300lbs and he wore the same couple things bc nothing ever fit right. Oh and ebony buttons.
To me it seems your heart doesnt want to disturb your earlier workings, where your brains are seeing it as it is and wants to make modifications that will improve the throw. If it were me, I'd take it lovingly apart and know that my younger self would appreciate the efforts made. The sweater is super sweet!! If youre truly giving it away, add pockets. Theyll give a bit of intrest and make a snuggly place to put chilled hands. As far as button color, the dark button brings out the flecks in the yarn. The medium works just as well. The light buttons ??. Different strokes, different folks 😉 Im looking forward to your stitch lessons! I love the way you crochet! Soooo dang fast!!! Please show us more!!!
I love that 15 y/o blanket! Maybe you can create another similar one and use it as the back side or put a flannel/fabric backing. It’s too beautiful to not showcase! ❤️
I would keep it and treasure it as a beautiful memory. It’s gorgeous. I would either continue on with the knowledge u have now or add a border and call it a day. I won’t redo it. Love it❤
Just love your oversized cardigan. I think it looks fabulous on you even though you have lost a lot of weight. I personally would keep it, it doesn’t need buttons . Cheers 👏😊😘
Hi Juan, Keep the 15 year old blanket as is put a boarder on it. It is part of your crochet Journey. I vote for 1 of each color button for the sweater.
Sew in your ends, put a nice border on it and leave it as is. It is a project of history, a time capsule. Finish it and lovingly use it, so you can reminisce 😀
If it’s been sitting around for 15 year, I would suggest you just put a border on it, weave in the wisps and call it done. That way, you have finished the project and aren’t sweating “where to go next”. You’ve got a lovely throw, very cool pattern. Ebony or Hazlenut on the sweater
Your 15 yr old blanket is so cool!! Love the design and colors. Don’t fix it, it’s great to remember and appreciate how much we’ve learned. Great lap blanket! Congratulations on your health journey. I am also type two diabetes and am on my weight loss journey. It’s a daily challenge but we’re not alone in it. Crochet has turned into my relaxing happy place, it’s therapy. Even more when we get to bless others with what we do. You’re awesome, Juan 🎉
Hi 👋🏼 what a great combo on your heirloom blanket! With your acquired seaming knowledge I’d say take it apart and redo!!! OR get some fleece and attach it to the back and it will be super warm 😊
I love the Mistletoe beanie and triangle scarf! I LOVE Puzzle yarn too! The beanie and scarf from the Puzzle yarn is gorgeous! You do such beautiful work Juan! I live in Iowa. I know about cold weather! I have to have my winter accessories almost more than the coats, lol! Although believe me I have several dozen coats. I'm a clothing person, lol! And boots....although I try to donate excess as I stay in so much more as I'm aging. I like being home and crocheting and/or diamond painting, lol! Thanks Juan. P.S. I really, really like the triangle scarves. They would hug my neck and keep it warm!. I told you I'm from Iowa. I also live in an old farmhouse on my dad's farm....out where the winds really blow! You're such a compassionate, giving person. Bless your heart!
Don't fix it. It is a chapter in your crochet journey. Love it!!! Keep your blanket from 15 years ago. Clean up the ends and throw on a border. I love it!!! Show us when you're done.❤❤
Juan, you have a beautiful 15 year old momento. Clean up the ends and put a border on it and display with pride!! It is truly beautiful.
Don't try to fix it. The colors are awesome. Maybe just add a border, and use it as a throw in your home. I love it! We all improve over the years. Nothing wrong with treasuring something you put your heart into. ❤️
Thank you!! I just might do that!!
I would finish it, add more and call the blanket my " then and now" afghan
Yes, I'd add a border and treasure the memory, it's lovely by the way!😊
Great design.
Add a simple border.
Then create another as the now version. Then treasure both!
I agree. It's beautiful! Just add a border and use it as a throw. It's really lovely.
Don’t fix it! Just finish it off and enjoy it. Use it as a reminder of how far you’ve come. Great color combo! Love it
How wonderful you have something you made 15 years ago. Display it with pride.
I completely agree! 😍
Juan the blanket is beautiful. Secure the ends. Maybe a border. The importance of it is the sentimental value. And… it’s for the house ❗️😉
If you love it, keep it the way it is. 😊 it’s a great way to see where you started and how far you’ve come!
Your 15yr old blanket. Tie off your ends and put a border on and use it. Put it on your couch, your chair, your shoulders. Bring back the good memories that it has brought when you made it. Enjoy!!!😊😊😊
I think it's wonderful that you donate to people in need!!
Celebrate the back of the blanket for what it is. Just finish it up and enjoy it as part of your crochet heritage. P.S., your hair is SO gorgeous! Best regards, -Paul from Orlando.

You should keep it! It shows how far you have come in your crochet journey. Happy you kept it after all these years. I think it looks great! 🙂
If you love it, leave it alone. It's beautiful and a remembrance of how much you've progressed!
Keep going with the blanket the way it is! You stumbled on a design feature! Also the cardigan looks good on you as an oversized sweater, or over layers as a coat.
Thank you!!! I’ll definitely consider that!

Juan, I subbed last night 10/4/2023 & was sub # 117.
Now it's the next morning, and you're already up 159 subs!
Just awesome!
Have a great day. 🐞
Please don't take your project apart! It is beautiful and it helps show how much you have grown.
The Afghan is beautiful! Not just the design but also in the fact that it is an evolution of your talent. Don't take it apart. I would also put a border on it.
I think it looks great - keep it as a memory of your past work and what your capabilities were at the time … I would 86 the wee ends sticking out …
The oversized look of your cardi is actually SUPER cute! I think you should rock it

I would keep it and treasure it as a beautiful memory. It’s gorgeous. I would either continue on with the knowledge u have now or add a border and call it a day. I won’t redo it. Love it❤
Keep your blanket the way it is. It shows your progression as a fiber artist! 😊
Just love your oversized cardigan. I think it looks fabulous on you even though you have lost a lot of weight. I personally would keep it, it doesn’t need buttons . Cheers 👏😊😘
Love that cardigan!! You are so right, it's hard to find patterns for us bigger peeps. I adore the hood on it. Simply beautiful
I am so so SO proud of you for losing so much weight. Good job Darlin ' 🎉😊😊🎉
Yes, keep it to remind yourself of the beautiful journey and the progressions that you have made.
You are a good person for making those beanies for people less fortunate 🥰
Do not change it. Beautiful.
Keep it Wall hanging "put your past behind you"❤❤❤❤
Your 15 yr old blanket is so cool!!
Don't worry, it's for the house still a beautiful blanket, I would put a trim and be proud of your work beautiful design with nice colors
I dont know if you'll see this but the squares you have finish it up its beautiful
My kids fight over afghans I made 25 years ago… Yes good old red heart 🧶 and the colors are as vibrant as the day I made them .
Leave the blanket alone hide your tails and use it. Great pattern and love the colors. Awesome that you crochet for the needy hats to keep them warm.
