Just a disclaimer for anyone concerned about the Crittertrail cage featured in this video: The Crittertrail cage was used as a temporary enclosure for only one night, because we went to two Target stores looking for 110 quart bins, but we couldn't find any. We moved Olive into a 450 square inch bin cage the day after we got her (as mentioned in the video). Crittertrail cages and similar are much too small for use as permanent cages due to the high energy levels in hamsters. 😉
that is surely the cutest hamster i have seen in a long time ....and you have picked a cute name for her too .[ if i had seen her in a pet shop i would have taken her home too ...super adorable ] .
@@Graces_life Well I cant tell exactly who, unless someone chooses to make their subscriptions public. But I noticed I was at 29 subs and when I looked back I was at 30. Thank you so much, that is so kind of you to say!!♥️
It always makes my stomach drop when someone shows a crittertrail in a vid, thankfully Olive only stayed in it for less than 24 hours! Thank you so much!! 🙂
Oh, no! Like I said in the video, the crittertrail was a temporary cage for only one night. We moved her into the bin may 5th, a day after we got her. The bin is 450 square inches 🙂
Olive is so cuteeeeeee ! You said you got her from a pet store I dont know if it was a local pet store or a petsmart or big chain pet store in general , If you got olive from a big chain pet store I wouldnt reccomend Getting them from there💞🦋🐹 the hamsters adorable , I wish I could have 2 hamsters 💜🐹 I love her fur coloring !🖤😻
Thank you! Yes, I did get her from Petsmart and I do know about rodent mills. I want to try to adopt my next hamster but Olive was kind of unexpected, I wasnt planning on going to the store to buy a hamster, I was going to buy bedding and such. When I saw Olive in the cage at the store I felt really bad that she would have to live there for an indefinite amount of time before she was taken home. Since she looked overweight and her nails were long, I felt really bad because if I got her I knew I could help her get healthy. Since I know I can provide the proper care needed to house a hamster and since this hamster, Olive, could have gone into a home without proper care or instead stayed in the pet store (both outcomes would have been bad) I decided to take her home. Now I wouldn't reccomend getting a hamster from a pet store, but if I see that the hamster is not doing the best in it's pet store circumstances, I would take them home. Why should I leave them there? All in all I dont support rodent mills, they are disgusting and cruel but since Olive was seemingly not doing well, and I knew I could take care of her most likely better than anyone else who could buy her, I took her home. I totally understand your concern and I really would like to adopt my next hamster like I said eairler in this comment 😀. And I agree, it is really fun having two hamsters! I like her fur coloring too! 😉
