You don’t have to crouch the entire time you follow the scent trails. You are able to walk, trot, and canter while hunting. But cantering can drain your stamina and if it reaches the red line on the blue bar at the top of your screen, it ends your hunting session and you have to click hunt again.
I’ve learned so far that you can trot/canter when hunting and I’ve successfully caught one mouse doing that (I’ve also caught three durning testing) also I wanted to announce that it is the exact same on PC!
2:56 you can actually walk or trot and you'll still be able to find prey and prey scents. It's a lot faster, you just risk scaring away any prey you noticed too late
Tip on hunting land prey is that you can go at a walk and trot without depleting your scent and you can canter but after a while you'll have to stand still or go at a walk, But Great Video! I love your voice as well, It sorta sounds like mine but deeper and louder XD

I play mobile but the prey tracking is usually glitchy for me, the prey scents lead no where for me, the new patch should help tho, but not really. Hope the next patch would clear that up!

You know, like the fishing mechanic I'd love a different one for every prey- Meabe for the mouse the actual is the best, for the rabbit you need to chase them, for the bird it's a harder version of the mice. Voles/Shrews are like the bird one but if you fail there will be countdown and during that countdown you can't hunt anything else (then there's birds of prey, that needs to be hunted in groups and can steal kits, usually a minimum of 3) squirell you need to climb, to catch frogs you need to do a specific good leap, usually harder the the one with the mice/bird ecc. Idk but I personally think this would make a good variety in the game and marking the hunt meccanic a littlea funnier.

It was actually originally made in 2017, where you couldnt costumize morphs and had to choose premade morphs on a grey platform that was considered the “lobby” the map was also in super early development! (I played this version, and around 2019-2020 they made the current game and created its beta release!)

Yes they are, they are just very uncommon. I dont know too much about the Rat's and Squirrel's but my cousin has caught a frog.

im on pc, and i couldnt use a tutorial for it, yet i still caught 11 mice, 4 birds, 7 rabbits, and tons of fish.
