This film deserves an appropiate remaster. It has to be treated and aknowledged as a work of art, not only a documentary. Like G'olé in 1982, these two films can be considered the result of an amazing job in the 80's that blended both a beautiful soundtrack (made by Rick Wakeman) along with a wonderful script that keeps the tense environment until the very last moment.

Maximálisan egyetértek veled,hogy ez a sportdokumentumfilm egy remekmű.Én még anno 1990 tavaszán láttam először.Akkor az 1990-es olaszországi VB előtt az EUROSPORT levetített egy sorozatot, az 1966-os VB-től kezdve az 1986-os VB-vel bezárólag.Bár úgy emlékszem rá,mintha azok a dokumentumfilmek egy óra időtartamúak lettek volna,de már 34 éve láttam,biztos rosszul emlékeztem.De ez a film ugyanaz kockáról-kockára mint amit akkor láttam,tehát több mint egy óra jóval.Zseniális lett (mindegyik rész közül ez tetszett legjobban),csúcs jó zenékkel aláfestve.Már lassan úgy vagyok vele,hogy szinte jobban tetszik az ilyen feldolgozás mint egy meccs élőben.Sokkal jobban megmutatja egy meccs igazi hangulatát,hogy milyen belülről,hogy mit érezhettek a játékosok,hogyan élték meg azt amikor szinte minden sikerült,vagy amikor szinte semmi sem... A zenék kegyetlen jók,amit tudtam már beazonosítottam közülük. A sorozat többi részét azóta sem láttam,az EUROSPORT is csak a '90-es VB előtt adta le őket,azóta egyik VB előtt sem,pedig a többi rész is hasonlóan van megcsinálva,zenével,belső képekkel. This is the best world cup film ever made. The drama, even the theme song was great. The France Brazil game was just gripping the way they did it. Of course Maradona's brilliance.

This is much better than any of the World Cup movies released. It gives the kids a chance to see the greatness of these players back then. And it is purely football, there is nothing else. Absolutely loved this and recommended it to anybody.

My first world cup and simply the best world cup. I have never seen a player can take the whole team to the highest level and win the cup like that. FIFA made a great documentary film for my favorite football star Maradona, thank you FIFA members very much. When i was 6 in 1986, i sat on my father's shoulder to watch World Cup in my poor neighborhood with only 1 TV surrounded by more than 100 men standing. Since then, i realized football. 14, i played football because of Maradona. Now i am 40, i still love Maradona skills.

Aunque probablemente esas imagenes se hayan capturado en cinta film de 35mm por eso tiene calidad y con un leve ajuste de remasterizacion se logra mejorar aun mas.
@@sebas89ify Por cuestiones horarias con Europa, además en México no estábamos muy acostumbrados a ver fútbol en la noche, si revisas las trasmisiones de algunos partidos de la liga mexicana te darás cuenta que muchos se juegan al medio día.

The VHS of this was my introduction to the beautiful game of football in 89, I used to watch it everyday. Despite being English I've always loved maradona. Something I've always noticed in this film is how each set of fans bought something unique to the tournament, like the teams different playing styles

You are very right and example of that was Maradona when he was in Barcelona they way Goikoetxea broke his leg and Van Basten the way that ankle was left. We could had seen more of Van Basten but because of that injury we couldn’t.

I found this months ago but finished tonight. Is about two months Diego past away. I was ony teen that sunday aftenoon 1986, couldn't understand all the joy on the streets. Now I was in pain watching the final game until the very last minute. Que grande Diego!!! Is like the last minutes of this movie is the best way to remember him.

This is the best World Cup movie! I grew up watching this and trying to play like Maradona. Even when I pretend to get fouled and I put one hand over my face and have the same emotion as Maradona! Thank you Maradona and thank you FIFA. 😘

This is much better than any of the World Cup movies released. It gives the kids a chance to see the greatness of these players back then. And it is purely football, there is nothing else. Absolutely loved this and recommended it to anybody.

When i was 6 in 1986, i sat on my father's shoulder to watch World Cup in my poor neighborhood with only 1 TV surrounded by more than 100 men standing. Since then, i realized football. 14, i played football because of Maradona. Now i am 40, i still love Maradona skills.
