Good one David. That social media button array was a good use case to choose. On the output side, I think it would have been good to show another person's profile who had a different number of social media buttons, assuming that this was part of the point of the repeater. Hopefully viewers will get that. Anyway, good one, and I'm looking forward to your review of the Kadence Advanced Query Loop. 🙂
There are so many page builders and themes acting as page builders (Astra Site builder review that you did recently) that one cannot make sense of things. For 2024, consider making a video on the landscape of Wordpress and the major players within it, in the page building world, and how would they stack against each other.
@@DavidMcCan yeah, be real nice to have rankings for page-builders. Coincidentally, Kevin Powell did a video today on “Ranking CSS units from Best to Worst” from ‘S,A,B,C,D,E,F”. This format was crystal clear at a glance, and a similar format for page-builders be great to have from someone unbiased like you. Or you might have an idea for a better format, who knows! It might ruffle a few feathers, but what the hell! The users will benefit.
I have been waiting for a block suite to include a repeater block. The only one I knew of was Greenshift. I am using Kadence blocks pro with a FSE theme. The block doesn't seem to be able to find the ACF repeater field. Do you know if it will only work with the Kadence theme?
It seems like this doesn't work with Metabox cloneable fields. It finds the cloneable group but it doesn't find the fields inside it for some reason. Have you seen that behavior?
Tons of great info..thanks!
Thanks for the walk through on this. Easier than I thought.
Thank you, David, for a great presentation!
Fair play, David. That's a great video!

Thanks. I agree with your suggestion and had the thought, but the video had already been edited etc so I didn't go back to add it.

Great topic idea. Thanks.

I just tried it with 2024 in a template in the Site Editor and it did not work. You might report it to the Kadence team.

I only tried it with ACF. Please reach out to Kadence support. I hope they keep parity with Meta Box.
