Very nice and original review. You said everything pros and cons. Thumbs up from me. id love to see a comparison to Mavic 3 but without beacon, because this is what makes Skydio 2 better. Even as DJI said is not 100% complete yet and they will fix it in one of the next firmware updates but it's not bad.
Yah, we plan to do more side-by-side comparison videos like that in the future, great suggestion. Mavic 3 firmware update was just pushed through and fixed a lot of the things we've been waiting on.
So this review is with the Skydio 2, not the NEW Skydio 2+ (which has longer range, antenna on the drone, updated battery and keyframes). I didn't see the antenna on the drone in this video, so apparently this review is the older version of this drone. Just thought that should be made clear to anyone that's seeing this newly posted video on the OLDER version of this drone! Range is so much better now with the Controller!!!
I don’t think you have the latest unit with the pop up antennas. I hear it’s much more reliable. I know you put a lot of work into the 5 part series but it would be nice to see the complete comparisons between the models. Thank you for all you’re work and test. Ooh, congrats on your new purchase. Yes, thank you for this feedback! I wish we had timed these videos a bit differently, but the good news is that as long as these companies keep improving their firmware and launching new models, we'll have more and more videos to put out!
Have you considered getting the Skydio X2 and putting it through it's paces? I flew one at a demo that Axon Air and Skydio put on and was very impressed! And I believe you're spot on with your reviews of the Skydio 2. Your experiences with it are the same as mine, and I have a ball with it.
Hi, I did hit a small branch on the winter with my Sydio 2 - but they warned me about that so my fault. It can get stuck or confused when around thick trees - but I listen for it on my bike then go back to get it. One question is that when I started it up this morning my phone said 'Obstable avoidance disabled'. I can't see an easy way to turn this back on - any ideas? Thanks!

Correct, the Skydio 2 benefited from a firmware update, but the 2+ comes with improved hardware!

Instead of shaking the drone you could have shown where the sensors are located on the drone. Jeez!
