Cheb i Sabbah was a musical pioneer, fusing together entire cultures of sound and music, pushing cutting edge blends of traditional songs with beats and ideas which were way ahead of his time.
"Chebiji" as he was affectionately known passed away November 6, 2013 at the age of 66, and we are releasing this special remaster as a benefit to his family: he has two kids and three grandkids, who are largely dependent on him. All the proceeds from this remix will go straight to the family.

Bassnectar don't let them put a tar sands pipeline through our Lake Michigan. One of the worlds most beautiful coasts. Visit, swim, board-ride, lay down a track we can all rally round to stop the destruction of our 2nd most important resource, water. (1st is people.)
Paul Sutherland I think 'our' 1st resource is clean air as everything stems from that. ie What's the use of people with no air to breathe or water to drink? We can't hold our breathe for more than a couple of minutes MAX!!,lol
Great! Don't pollute the air either. Northern Michigan air quality wonderful. We moved industry to Asia. Now concerned with collection, movement and refinement of fossil fuels. Especially pipelines through and under our incredibly beautiful fresh water seas. Lorin is a highlight at a festival near our pristine National Forests, i think could apply skills to create anthem for Great Lakes. Propose a chili pepper collaboration. Kidd Rock also had some love for Michigan on celluloid.
