Thanks Charlie. It is very time consuming but very enjoyable with it. It takes me on average around 2 weeks to complete one. But they cost a fraction of a Tamiya RC kit. Thanks again my friend for the lovely comment.
Magnifique !
Hi Rob Watching your Hurricane build as I am making mine now I want to ask if you paste all stringers etc when covering the fuselage. I always only paste outer wing edges and am happy with shrinkage results there but not so when working on fuselages by only pasting the outer edges of each section covered. Might seem an odd question but don't want to be disappointed with the Hurricane which is coming together so very well. Have to say to Bob that your videos are great and I always look for any of yours before starting a build. Regards Barry
Hi Barry. Many thanks for watching and commenting. On the fuselage I to only past the edges, but I have on occasion wet the paper twice which has seemed to have shrunk the paper more. Hope this helps and thanks again my friend.

Hi Rob - really enjoyed the video - I'm doing a Keil Kraft Invader with a lad at the primary school I work at (he suffers from low attention, lack of attention to detail) and I'm hoping taking part will help him see that taking his time and putting a bit of effort in can make a big difference and produce something worthwhile (fuselage done, wings next!!). I'm using dressmaking pins which are a touch fiddly for him - what are those T-Bar looking pins you have? I bought one of these kits for my own boy a couple of years ago - it's still collecting dust on his wardrobe - I think I'm going to have to galvanise him into action (although the draw of his phone may be too much....) Good luck and keep safe!
Hi Richard. Thanks for watching. The Pins I use are Woodland Scenics ST1432 Foam Nails. You get 75 in a pack and should be on sale at most hobby shops that sell model railway stuff. Hope this helps. Not sure if you have found my other channel 'Rob Brennan Balsa Wood Planes' but it has detailed build videos of both the VMC Corsair and Cessna 140.
I wonder how much it would cost me to have one ready built ... Can someone please recommend a place where I can buy a fully assembled model like these ... Thanks a lot
Brilliant video! Beautiful airplane! As soon as my wife isn't looking, I'm ordering a kit. After a childhood of die-cut disappointment followed by middle age of endless hand-cutting, I built a laser-cut Guillow's kit. What an incredible experience full of unbroken parts that fit like an egg crate. Alas, I was stuck with the godawful plastic nose. It looks like this kit is even better. I love the lightening holes in the spar! I can't wait to build it. Also, you know how to cover with tissue. I saw many "how-to" videos that were appallingly sloppy. Btw, the way the second half of the fuselage appeared like magic. I assume there were some frustrating moments in it's construction?
Hi Ken. Many thanks for your great comment. The nose cone on this one is plastic as well. Sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick but I've never built a Guillow's kit. Got a VMC kit as a present and stuck with them ever since. We may have watched some of the same awful covering videos from the sounds of it. More tricky than frustrating, not being able to pin the thing down. I have another channel called 'Rob Brennan Balsa Wood Planes' which has a build series on the Vought Corsair (18 videos in total) that shows the fuselage build in a lot more detail. Thanks again for watching and stay safe my friend.
Hi Steven. The prop shaft has a hook on the end for the rubber band. The other end is held in place with a toothpick. Once the fuselage is covered and shrunk you will see two rectangles of balsa just behind the cockpit with a hole in. You need to push the toothpick through the holes then feed the rubber band through the square hole at the front and loop it around the toothpick and then pass it through the other side of the fuselage. Cut the toothpick down so you have a few mm sticking out either side and you are done. Hope this helps.
Very nice video. For me, while motion in a video is nice, here the constant motion over such a long program wore thin. I guess you could say the effectiveness was lost in translation (if you get my double entendre). I subscribed, by the way.

I never thought of that hehe. I just wanted the longest orchestral music I could find from the YT library to cut down on the number I would have to download and arrange.
Hi Rob - watching your videos because I've just got a VMC kit for my birthday, and I've never built a balsa wood plane before (at least, not for 40 years!). One question - what do you use to cover the plan so the model doesn't end up glued to the paper?
Your from the original generation.... Not spoiled by chinese ans japonese inventiones.. Kids these days just wont know how and why.... Until the time they need it........
Hi Ben. Most of the build I used the glue that was supplied with the kit (PVA). For other bits it was a cyano based glue (Super Glue). Hope this helps.
