    Excellent Herreweghe version. I have the CD. Rameau sheds great light & joyousness & resonates with contemporary values.

    The rhythms really sound a lot like a work song slaves would have sung. It sounds sympathetic -- not surprising since Rameau hung around with Voltaire.

    Sorry but there is a huge disrespectful mistake in the description. The composer is RAMEAU, not Herreweghe.
