Lovely vlog Kristen full of inspiration 👚 Your choice of fabrics are beautiful 🥰 You are so right that you can hack a dress pattern into a blouse and vice versa 🥰
Love your collection of blouses. The mixture of colours, styles and prints are stunning. Like you I love jeans 👖 and a nice handmade blouse or top. I am in the middle of revamping my wardrobe started with blouses and tops making more handmade additions. Thank you very much for sharing 😀
Gosh. I love both indie and big 4. I learned to sew as a middle aged woman after my youngest left the "nest". I figured out I needed something for ME. I became obsessed with sewing and I am happily figuring it all out with all the help from the sewing community online. Indie patterns tend to have very good directions. Big 4 are often very good at draf g, but it is up to us to figure out the fit for our own bodies. And TBH, I am still working on that! Thank you for the videos! Happy sewing!
Thanks for the inspiration Kristen. Starting a new job in a month's time, so need some new ideas for tops. After working from home for a year wearing my trackpants and slippers all day I need some "office" clothes.
So many! And such lovely fabrics. I think indie patterns have come along with the trend for looser fashion. Much easier to fit. Generally instructions are great and fit is more true to size. I remember many a disappointment with big 4 but that was before I knew I needed to fit as I sewed 😂. Thank God for the internet. We have all learned so much. I for one won’t be buying big 4 anymore. Too expensive in Australia for one thing. And the indies are sewists just like us.😀
I agree with you on the Indie patterns. They fit so much better than the big 4 on me. I have a couple of big 4 patterns, but most of mine are indie patterns! You've got some pretty blouses!!!
Your earlier comment about the Big 4 patterns and "sewing the right way "ie traditional methods brought a smile to my face too because my mum was a very skilled needlework teacher in high school and of course when teaching me it was all about "the right way". Well, that stifled my interest in sewing until I rediscovered the joy of sewing through your channel and other fab You Tubers you have recommended and of course the Indy pattern companies. Now Im hooked on this creative hobby and I could not be happier. My sewing machine is "smokin' hot" - thank you for the inspiration! And a big congrats on your new venture - onwards and upwards. xx
Thanks for showing all your lovely blouses. I am almost ready to tackle my first one! And you have converted me to Sewing Revival...just purchased the raw edge shirt and the Fernbird - love this style on ladies and could never find a pattern. Thanks again!
Thanks for hack info on Fibremood Gladys - have written it into my copy (no.17) I thought it was a little to fussy for me too and your fabric is fabulous! 💕
All beautiful blouses. I'm actually wearing the Style Arc Jules Woven Tunic Blouse at the moment, inspired by your make sometime ago now, with black stretch denim jeans (also Style Arc-Blakley Pull On Jeans). Like you, I'm very comfy in jeans.
Hi Kristen, I love your blouse collection, they are so colorful and inspiring. Your vlog reminded me that I have the Style Arc Martha pattern and that I should look for some pretty fabic to make it. Thank you for offering destash fabrics on your website. I couldn't help but purchase 3 items.
I like the big four patterns as the designs work better for shorter people on the petite end of the spectrum. They have more defined lines, structure and proportions than the generally boxy, loose Indy styles. Once in a while the directions are confusing, but nothing so far that can't be overcome.
Hi Kristen, love your fabulous blouse collection.you have good tastes. How many hours a day would you spend on your machine as your sewing is so perfect ?and no threads showing which I always manage to have on mine.I love Meg.How is is she by the way.I have a golden Labrador and she is 9 and she has as much energy as a 9 month old pup.
A lovely collection. I have made some nice shirts and blouses but have a way to go to match you. A year or so ago you made some great colour blocked tops. I don't see those here - did they get donated?
Hi. At the beginning of the video when your talking about the giveaway there is a blouse with a triangle open detail on the back. What pattern is that?? Thanks!
The final black blouse is my favourite look on you .
I love it so much too!
Lovely vlog Kristen full of inspiration 👚
Your choice of fabrics are beautiful 🥰
You are so right that you can hack a dress pattern into a blouse and vice versa 🥰
Thanks Lynne x
Good morning Kristen. Hope you had a great day. Love all your videos and your tips.
Thanks so much!
Lovely to see all your gorgeous blouses! Totally with you though - life is too short to make jeans!
It really is!

Thanks so much Natasha! So many great points there!
I don't get along with the Big 4 patterns either (except for children) I am so glad I discovered the indie patterns. I love all of your blouses.
You are so welcome!

You got this!
Your blouses are gorgeous. Love them all. Very much wanting to try a tulip sleeve blouse. So unique.

I always love your fabric choices x
Thank you!
Yay for Indie patterns . I actually prefer them for the same reasons you stated . Love the Heron and Jules patterns .
Such great patterns!
Love all the blouses you have made, fantastic fabrics too. Would recommend the Freida blouse, very flattering, comfortable and an easy sew,
Oh I love the look of that!

Great into music 🎶
Nice to have a change !

It's nice to have a variety! I agree!

I usually don't spend every day on the machine, probably a few hours a week! Meg is great!
Jeans are specialised. Leave it to levi 😂❤️
haha yes!

I think I may have donated a few thigs to a friend!
Could you list the stores where you purchase your large print florals.
❤️❤️❤️
Hi. At the beginning of the video when your talking about the giveaway there is a blouse with a triangle open detail on the back. What pattern is that?? Thanks!
I'm sure its the Atelier Scammit pattern!
@@thedahliasewciety thank you 😊
Are you able to show the whole garment. Your camera appears to cut the pic short
Sorry about that!
🇨🇦😃
I do not sew my own jeans. I prefer to buy them.
Me too!
:)
You seem to be very close to the camera so it is a bit hard to see the blouses properly as you are talking about them. Just a suggestion
Noted, thanks Julianne!
sorry too commercial for me
