I always love my deer and elk camps. Giving each other a hard time, the joking around, but when it comes to the the work, everyone jumps right in. And the old boy has to love that he was taken by a beautiful young lady. Congrats on a beautiful deer.

Hey lady how ya doin ,just started watching you and your Daddy . I love it because I have two daughters of my own .Thats a nice old buck you made winter easy on him for shure . We do a ton of deer hunting and cat fishing also but our fishing is done with a pole . You would get run over in our Lakes trying to catfish the way you all do . Super sweet to see you and your Daddy spend time the way you do .love watching and you all take care and keep it real.

Hannah, I have a couple of bucks on my land that are more like Elk! They are so big and brawny, easy 220 inch. They have been in my sights many times with clean, clear shots, to the point where I don't really think I can spook them anymore. So much discipline to not take the shot, but I want them to keep putting their genetics into the does on my land. We nailed a few of his sons and daughter's this year and we're done. One day, I'll take one of them, maybe both, but only once I've seen one of his offspring that really demands that same level of respect. God bless, good hunting!

I shot an old buck back in '04. He had only 5 points, but a wide thick rack. He came by me chasing 2 young does. Spry old buck.! I put one in the base of that wide neck and saw him tip over, ass over tea kettle, at 75 yards away. After I made sure he was gone, I looked at the massive body, then checked his teeth. Back teeth were worn to the nub. While skinning it, I found a bruise and a gore wound on it's front right shoulder. The bruise was in the shape of another deer's head. Old buck was fighting over does. I thought that meat would be tough and gamey, but after aging it on ice for 7 days, it processed nicely and tasted delightful.
