    If the pH is at 12, does it even need a preservative? That's higher than soap. I can see how citric acid is a good idea though where it's a chelator.

      Exactly, if you leave out the citric acid you won’t need a preservative. I like to add it for its cleaning and degreasing properties, therefore you need a preservative if you add enough of it in to bring the oh down. Plus it makes it a little easier on the hands.

    I can smell it ,for real, OMH two of my fav citrus and eucalyptus, yes! One suggestion, I will add the citric acid at the beginning to the water to avoid the bubbles since you want to lower the ph. Thank you for sharing

    This is awesome! I have most of the ingredients you used except for the washing soda. I understand that it has a higher pH compared to baking soda and is more abrasive? If I can't find it, can I use baking soda instead? Thanks for sharing! I love your sweater by the way, it looks good on you, you're glowing. Cheers!

    With a PH of 12 is a preservative even necessary? If left high does it hurt anything?

    • @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
      @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi there, you could totally leave this at a PH of 12 and omit citric acid and the preservative if you like. I do address this in my written tutorial. :) I like it with citric acid because it does add some degreasing and cleansing properties but it will lower the PH making it necessary for a preservative.

    How would this formula work on furniture? Thank you so much for sharing. I can not wait to download this.

      You are welcome! I love it! I would not use this on any wood products but if the furniture is made of some other hard surface that not wood, you can use it!

    Hallo! Send you a hug from Brazil. I have a question: how the vinegar works in this recipe? If the pH is very high in some point, it means the vinegar was consummed and neutralized, no?

    • @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany
      @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany  10 месяцев назад

      Hello! Yes, the vinegar will be neutralized because of the washing soda and other ingredients added, you can leave it out if you like, I still think it helps neutralize odors and it helps with shine :)
