  • FACT: When you macrame you WILL end up with SCRAP CORD. Scrap macrame cord is totally useable, so DON'T throw it away. This tutorial goes step-by-step through 5 different ways to use your macrame scraps, in 3 different projects. AND there are way more than 5 ways to use your scraps so there will likely be a follow up to this tutorial at some point.

    Oh my gosh, using a rotary trimmer to cut feathers looks easier than scissors! And more accurate! Thanks for the tip

    I use them as markers at the end of the macrame, so if I use the same pattern again, I get fewer scraps

    In the shag wall hanging piece, wouldn't the knots come undone? They look lose to me. I love it, but I worry if I make it, it will loosen and fall apart

      Good question. Mine aren’t. I pull each knot super tight and then I pull on each cord individually to make it extra tight. If you’re worried you could put a dab of glue on each knot but I didn’t find I needed to.
