Nope, totally loses to WF, Fortress, Melter, any and all Air, Heal balls, Acid Scorp and Stormcallers. Also loses to any form of aggro rush, all of them vulcans are bad into unless your opp seriously messes up in which case you were going to win anyway. The big problem the guy playing it had in this game is he matched a ranged game and didn’t go stormcallers, WF or carry air. That’s what lost him this, the ER Vulcan wasn’t actually important and didn’t change the outcome of the game besides dealing some extra damage at the end. ER is generally a bad pick to begin with, doesn’t help the Vulcan at all and if anything actually makes it worse in some cases since it locks onto bulky stuff that’s further away and lets late chaff pass by uncontested, the difference between this and range is that range doesn’t nerf your HP, is twice the effect AND can be taken at any point, costing only what you put into it. Meaning you can press it only when you know it’ll win you a round. Meanwhile ER has both the actual cost of grabbing it AND the opportunity cost of not grabbing the other 3 options for a card that doesn’t actually win Vulcan a single 1v1 against any of its counters. It’s useful in the sense that a board of literally only fangs is useful, sure, it’ll work if your opponent doesn’t go into one of the many, many counters such a board has, but when the fuck are they ever gonna do that? It’s a meme strat, funny, but not good and ABSOLUTELY not meta.
Why not play anti missile turret to shut down the storm callers? Also wasps
Is ER Vulcan going to be a mainstay to the meta this patch?
