    A wonderful gift for your nephew. I enjoy the fact that if you have many tasks to complete, like putting in a bunch of screws, you show what you are going to do, and not show the same thing fifty-eleven times. The Sapele looks very nice with the oil you used on it.

    I'm 52 years old, and still have my dinky / matchbox cars. In the original carry cases. Both full. And hardly played with.
    Awesome project.

    Quick question: why do you use the bench hook backward with your pull saw?

    • @Badgerworkshop
      @Badgerworkshop  Год назад +1

      It’s for western saws

    • @joelhollingsworth2374
      @joelhollingsworth2374 Год назад

      @@Badgerworkshop I mean yes...I guess then, from the hook's perspective, my question becomes: why aren't you using it backward when using it with pull saws? Like, it's designed to resist the force of the saw teeth & to support against tearout on the side of the workpiece that the teeth exit, is I guess what I'm getting at.

    • @Badgerworkshop
      @Badgerworkshop  Год назад

      @@joelhollingsworth2374 because that’s not how hooks work. You can’t just turn it around. You need a differently designed hook

  • @rrddaatube
    @rrddaatube Год назад

    I can't work out how to word this without it sounding like I think you're doing something wrong, which I'm not! Is a shooting board and a pull saw the right combination? With a western saw you're pushing against the shooting board, but with a pull saw you're pulling against your hand which doesn't seem right?

    • @Badgerworkshop
      @Badgerworkshop  Год назад +1

      It's not a shooting board, It's a bench hook. It is for western saw but it works.
