Things we visited:
Kualoa Ranch - amazing things to see and do; check their website to plan; our group split up and some did the zip line while others took the Movie Set tour. The ranch is the site for many film sets including the popular Jurassic Park and the TV Series Lost.
Aulani - the Disney Resort - pricey but I can see why. If you stay here, take the time to walk around the resort because there is really a lot to see and do. Check the daily schedule The Iwa to see what is happening that day. We opted to the Luau on site and it was so convenient and worth it - amazing food and entertainment as well as activities prior to the Luau;
Paradise Cove - located within walking distance we walked over to hang out on the beach, snorkel and we saw many fish, a monk seal and sea turtles!
Dole Plantation - the history or pineapples on the island of Oahu;
Banzai Bowls at Sunset Beach - we saw and ad on the plane and decided to try them; first time trying acai bowls and they were amazing;
Matsumoto Shave Ice - another must do;
Giovannis Shrimp Truck we loved this - take note that the spicey sauce is spicey so use caution but if you love shrimp, you have to try Giovannis;
Byodo In Temple - what a serene and peaceful place. This was really a surprise. We didn’t know what to expect and we were amazed! Located at the foot of the Ko’olau Mountains in Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, welcomes people of all faiths to worship, meditate or simply appreciate its beauty and history as a non-practicing Buddhist temple. Built in 1963, the Byodo-In Temple is a Hawaii state landmark and one of the states’s best kept secrets.
Diamond Head an epic hike that is moderate, most people will be able to make the trek, come prepared and check the website for suggestions such as a flashlight, water, and good shoes;
Aloha Stadium - the tours were closed for the day but my brother in law spoke with the gift shop and we were able to take a photos and go into the stadium, it wasn’t a full tour but it was amazing. The stadium is now being replaced - website link below.
Aloha Stadium Swap Meet - we did some shopping and had some sandwiches, lots of walking and it was a hot day.
Pearl Harbor Memorial was a touching visit, very emotional to hear the history. The tour begins in a small theatre where a film tells the history, then you ride a ferry over to the monument and quietly pay respects to those who were lost.
Waimea Bay - located at this beach is the popular jumping rock, some of us may have jumped, some may have worn a coconut bra;
Drive around the Island to each of these destinations. We were able to rent a van for all of us, and my husband loved driving in Hawaii. Being able to ride and take photos was amazing. My husband as well as the rest of the van load were amazed at the greenery, the mountains, cliffs, tunnels - so many amazing things to see. We were sad to have it end but grateful we had the opportunity.

Yes! Love Hawaii, but I stay away from Honolulu when I go to Oahu. The Big Island is my favorite.
I always wanted to visit Hawaii, it is on my list. So beautiful and great music selection xxx❤
There are a lot of budget friendly options too. Next time we will be in budget accommodations.
You got to go to Hawaii! Documenting is my favorite thing to do. Gosh it’s beautiful there, you found a painted rock!
It was the trip of a life time. I went on a more budget minded trip in my 20s as well.

Very expensive - go for a couple nights then stay somewhere cheaper. But definitely stay on Oahu at least a week.for the amenities etc it is worth it but most people just don't have that kind of money. We couldn't do it again for that long.
