We’re born into sin’s slavery (our condition & ID): slavery to sin (John 8:34) “Everyone who commits sin is the slave to sin” In Jesus, we were slaves to sin, but now, we are God’s children [Spiritually born as enemies, in the wrong camp of self-destruction and darkness]
5 Battleplan Actions
1. Forget the idea of “can’t” because YES U CAN with Jesus
2. ID it as an agent of self-destruction, not a play thing
3. Partnership & accountability are powerful tools to fight against temptation
4. Remove it and yourself: flee from temptation
5. Pray in “Jesus’ name” for a pathway of escape and the divine power to go
